Louis Féraud - Navy blue flared gold buckle skirt suit:  $6.50 (RSP:  $500+)

Bazar de Christian Lacroix - Burgundy pantsuit:  $8.50 (RSP:  $1500+!)

California Magdesians - Pearlescent leather purse:  $4

All @ Value Village.

I'm really glad I went today!  I almost didn't since, I'm really tired from shopping so much these last few days.

It was a total zoo there!  I wanted to get out as fast as I can, and I really wasn't expecting to find anything good.

The first thing I found was the purse.  It was gorgeous!  I hesitated a bit because it has some marks that I'm not sure will come off.  (Update:  They came off!  Yay!)

But I bought it anyway.  I love the design, the sheen, and the colour!  I don't like it as an over the shoulder purse, but it makes a gorgeous oversized clutch.

I don't have any of those, so I had no problem adding this to my collection.

After a while, I found the Louis Ferard suit.  I loved it!  Especially the little flared skirt on the blazer.  I'm not too fond of the collar (or lack there of), but everything else was just right.

The fit is so flattering, and it doesn't look worn.  Plus, the price...total steal!

Soon after that, I found the Christian Lacroix!  Funnily enough, I only found out about that designer a day ago, from when I was looking up Dean & Evan (they listed him as a style inspiration).

It looked pretty plain, but the quality was great so I tried it on.  Well, it is way better on!  The fit is great.

I don't know how much it actually retailed for, but I saw some of his newer suits for that price or more.

Just like the first suit, it was in great condition.  I wonder if it was owned by the same person before?  Well, they are now!

Talize had a half off sale today but I couldn't go...now I kind of wish I took a bus there, or something!  I wonder what other treasures awaited me?

Joseph Ribkoff - Sheer sleeve pleated suit:  $4

Dean & Evan - Asymmetrical wool jacket:  $10

Both @ Value Village.

I'm so glad I came here!  I was initially offput because of how crazy busy it was (it was half off day, and on a Sunday!), but somehow I managed to find these gems.

I was unsure about the suit since I already have so many, but it was gorgeous on!  I really like the sheer sleeves and it's fitted just so.  It's hard to see in the picture, but the front is pleated on one side.

It took my breath away, and it was a great price!  I just need to do something about those shoulder pads.

Ditto on the jacket..it was such a find!  I thought it looked great on the rack, but it was amazing on!  Even more breathtaking than the suit...imagine that, twice in one day!

There are no prices on their site, so I have no idea how much it retailed for...but the quality is insane, so I'm sure it was a lot.  I wouldn't be surprised if it went for upwards of a thousand.

I found an article online that said their pricing started at $260, and I'm sure a coat goes for a lot more than a skirt.

There's a button missing.  Initially I was just going to replace all of them, but the buttons are so nice, I can't bear to do it!

I found a picture of it on their website.  Turns out it's from their 2009 Fall collection:

It looks even better in person!  The fit is just unbelievable.  And the construction...the pleats stay in place so strategically.  This is probably the finest garment I own!

NWT Long grey multi-layer chiffon dress:  $7.50 @ Value Village

This dress has so many things going on!  I thought it was pretty neat.  It was new with tags, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought it.

The quality is kind of on the cheap side, but overall it's ok.

I just thought it was worth adding to my closet since the design was unique.  I would have preferred if this dress had a zipper instead of a stretchy back.

I think I might cut off the straps.  It looks way better without them!

Revolution by Edwin - Grey faux suede fringe box purse:  $3 (RSP:  $24.99 - $40)
Angel Dal - Amy:  $1 each (RSP:  $5.99 - $20)
Angel Dal - Biccy:  $2 (RSP:  $5.99 - $20)
Brinware - Glass plates with removable silicon backs:  $1 (RSP:  $14.99 - $25)
Anna Sui - Live your dream 30mL eau de toilette:  $8 (RSP:  $24.99 - $54)

All @ Winners.

I was seriously happy with this stuff!  I was interested in the box clutch when it first went on sale, I'm glad I didn't buy it for $13.

They had a red one, but the lid fell off.  It was the same price!  Thought that was stupid.

More Angel Pullips!  Well, these ones were Dals.  They were seriously clearanced too!  My eyes just about popped out of my head when I saw how low they were....and I paid full price just an hour ago!

One of them was priced higher than the other.  Ugh!  I could have price matched it, but the thought didn't occur to me.  I was way too frazzled to think about that.

Another surprising favourite this round:  these plates!

They are so cute!  I love the prints, and the idea of them.  They're glass plates with a removable silicone backing...they're so colourful and adorable.  I can't believe nobody else wanted them!

I didn't see them until the very last minute.  I'm glad, since they probably would have been more if I saw them sooner.

The perfume was an impulse buy.  I couldn't really smell it so it was a bit of a gamble, but I normally like Anna Sui stuff so I thought it was a deal.

I was hoping it would go down to $5, it would have been a no-brainer then!

But $8 was alright, especially once I opened it up and saw how pretty the bottle was:

Well, it's more impressive in person.

They also had this Judith Leiber perfume I was considering buying it, but I thought it was too much at $16.  It did retail for $115 though, but I couldn't smell it at all!

Now I kind of wish I got it, the bottle was gorgeous.   I would have been more comfortable paying $12 for it, especially since I was already unsure about the Anna Sui one.

There was also a $9 swarovski perfume I wanted, but someone snatched it while I was waiting for it to go down.

Now I really wish I bought that one, it costs the most and it sounded great - lychees and roses!

I wish I started paying attention before!  I'd really like to get more perfume, I wonder what cheap ones I've missed out on in the last few years.

Wishes Wishes Wishes - Grey bustier dress:  $2 (RSP:  $19.99 - $40+)
Pure & Simple - Beige \ brown dress:  $3 (RSP:  $29.99 - $60)

Elio - Beige knit pleated front vest:  $3 (RSP:  $24.99 - $40)

Merrell - Basalt Albia pants:  $2 (RSP:  $39.99 - $80)
Vince - Hollie - Patch pocket slim jeans:  $3 (RSP:  $119.99 - $235!)
Vivienne Tam - Green skirt:  $.70 (RSP:  $34.99 - $68)

All @ Winners.

I was really surprised this location had anything left!  The last couple of times, they were all cleared out by the time I arrived...I'm glad that wasn't the case this time.

The jeans were an amazing deal!  I couldn't find anything wrong with them either, so I'm really surprised they were still here.  This is what it looks like on:

I'm really happy about the bustier dress.  That's just my style, and it was super cheap.

I also like the pleated front vest.  I thought it was a neat design.  I was eyeing it when it was $10 so I was ok with paying $3 for it.

The little vampire shirt was so cute!  I might end up returning it since I really have no use for it.  I think I probably just wanted to photograph it..

Silver studded collar -   $1 (RSP:  $14.99 + )
Angel Pullip (!) -   $5.99 (RSP:  $20)
Bluheaven -  Beaded tank:  $2 (RSP:  49.99 - $108)
Louben petites - black pinstripe pants:  $2 (RSP:  $29.99 - $50+)

Minkpink - Fatal attraction dress:  $7 (RSP:  $49.99 - $100)
One clothing - Blue dress with black splatter designs:  $2 (RSP:  $24.99 - $50)

All @ Winners.

This one barely had anything, but I'm glad I came.

I was really surprised to see an angel pullip here!  I really wish I could have found a big one, but I couldn't leave this behind.

It was regular price, but it seemed reasonable enough.  They retailed for around $20, then you had to factor in shipping!

I'll be this location had the big dolls too...I really wish I came sooner, but I was too lazy.

I really like the $7 dress.  The cut outs are so neat!  I might have to return it though, it looks really small.

Here it is on a model (different colour):

Hmm, don't like it as much there.  I'll have to see how it looks on me!

RD Style - blue and black bodycon dress:  $2 (RSP:  $19.99 - $30)
Cynthia Steffe - Dylan - Gold peplum dress with real leather accents:  $11 (RSP:  $149.99 - $365.98)
One clothing - gold tinsel dress:  $.70 (RSP:  $19.99 - $40+)

Naked Zebra - Asymmetrical sleeveless yellow chiffon top:  $2 (RSP:  $14.99 - $30+)
Naked Zebra - Asymmetrical sleeveless teal chiffon top:  $2 (RSP:  $14.99 - $30+)
Naked Zebra - Asymmetrical sleeveless white chiffon top:  $2 (RSP:  $14.99 - $30+)

c'est moi - Burnished gold studded collar:  $1 (RSP:  $12.99 - $25+)
Lolita Lempicka - Honey bath foam:  $3 (RSP:  $24.99 -  $50)
Ellen Tracy - Burgundy leather gloves:  $5 (RSP:  $24.99 - $50)
Studio Guy Laroche - Studded black leather gloves:  $8 (RSP:  $29.99 +)

All @ Winners.

This is the stuff I was excited about!  The dress is definitely the best deal for this round.  It's such great quality and just gorgeous.

I was also happy about the leather gloves, but I really wish the black ones were cheaper.  They were missing one stud!

Both of them are perfect otherwise, and $5 for a perfect pair of leather gloves is a steal to me.  I didn't want to come back later so I bought them anyway, at least they're warm and awesome looking.

The Lolita Lempicka bath foam was an afterthought.  I wasn't sure if I wanted it!  The prospect of getting something from Sephora for cheap clinched it for me...plus it smelled nice and the jar was cute.

Now I'm really glad I did, since it retailed for around $50!  I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

Vivienne Tam - Silver lurex blazer:  $3 (RSP:  $49.99 - $88)
BDB David Bitton - Teddie midnight - Blue sequin tank top:  $2 (RSP:  $19.99 - $69)

Violet & Claire - Grey pleated tank with sequin collar detailling:  $2 (RSP:  $24.99 - $40)
Sushiflower - Green halter dress:  $1 (RSP:  $19.99 - $89)
Olivia Moon - Striped gathered top:  $2 (RSP:  $16.99 - $26)

Cynthia Rowley - Burgundy pants:  $.70 (RSP:  $29.99 - $50)
Max Studio - Green pants:  $2 (RSP:  $29.99 - $88)
Grace Elements - Checkered skirt:  $2 (RSP:  $24.99 - $48+)

All @ Winners.

Thankfully, it wasn't a total disappointment!  I wasn't super crazy about anything in this lot, but who can say no to cheap every day clothes?

Friday, February 22, 2013

Sasha - Skull knuckle duster faux crocodile clutch:  $5 @ Winners (RSP:  $24.99+)

Plus the latest issue of H&M magazine and my obligatory Sephora perfume samples.

I checked out a few Winners, but sadly, they barely had anything left.  The stuff that was left was still expensive to boot!

I was really undecided on the clutch, since I don't like the ones that feel like hard cardboard.  I also wasn't super crazy about the ring design:

But it's different from the ones I already have, plus I won't be able to find it cheaper elsewhere.

If only I came tomorrow!  It would have been $3 then, which totally would have been worth it.  There's a stone missing, but I have an idea for that.

$5 really wasn't that great considering that flaw, but desperate times call for desperate measures!  I just hope I won't be disappointed tomorrow.

Barbie Basics - Model no. 04 001:  $4 @ Toys R Us (RSP:  $19.99+)

I'm so glad I started checking out their clearance tables!  I really wish I started earlier, I wonder what other things I've missed out on.

I couldn't believe how cheap this girl was!  She was marked down again just yesterday...I'm surprised someone didn't snatch her up before me.

She's missing the clear outer box, but everything else is there.  I never thought I'd ever find a deal like this at Toys R Us!

It took me a while to decide on her, since I normally only buy these barbies to steal their clothing, and this one didn't come with anything great.

I actually saw her for full price a while ago and she caught my eye then.  She's really neat looking, she has the look of a high fashion doll.

So anyway, that coupled with the price resulted in her coming home with me.  I'm glad I did, turns out she goes for $20 used!  I could easily sell her if I change my mind.

The back of the box:

I really like the first girl and the blonde with the short bob. I doubt I'll find any more, but if I do, I hope it's those ones!

La Dee Da - Runway Vacay Tyla doll
La Dee Da - City Chic Dee doll

$4.94 each @ Superstore (RSP:  $19.99 each)

I love Superstore!  They're practically the only store that has good toy sales.

I don't collect this line, but I've noticed them.  I thought these ones were pretty cute and the price was right, so I picked them up.

They actually had two other ones that I might go back for.  One I want for sure!

I wasn't even sure if I should get these ones, but I did since I like having a variety of dolls.

I passed up a Monster High bathroom playset for these!  They just seemed like a much better deal in comparison.

I don't like how playline their faces are, but I really liked their hair and I thought their outfits were interesting.

Plus, they came with a lot of extras, including stands!  Totally worth the $5.

If I find a Monster High scooter at another Superstore I might pick it up, but I'd really rather have the one that came with an exclusive doll.

Black rose covered heart shaped clutch:  $11 @ Winners (RSP:  $29.99 - $58)

Final clearance has been so disappointing this year!  I might luck out this weekend but I'm not too hopeful about that.

At least I managed to find this.  It wasn't with the other clearance stuff, but it was marked down more than usual so it might still be part of the sale.

I love heart shaped things, and I was actually checking out these kind of clutches online!  I actually just bought a union jack one for $16 off ebay...this was a steal!

I would have preferred if it went a bit cheaper since it has some visible glue and no chain, but the price was in my range.  The lowest I can find this exact clutch online is $30!

Monster high - lot of 13 dolls:  $75 (RSP:  $300)

From left to right:

-Dawn of the Dance Draculaura
-Dawn of the Dance Ghoulia
-Dead Tired Ghoulia
-Roller Maze Ghoulia
-Skull Shores Lagoona
-Wave 1 Lagoona
-Dawn of the Dance Frankie
-Wave 1 Frankie
-CAM sea monster
-Basic Operetta
-Dawn of the Dance Clawdeen
-Wave 1 Cleo
-Wave 1 Deuce

It also includes a bunch of journals, stands, and these random bits:

This lot was a nightmare!  It's my own fault for not asking about condition..if I knew they were this gross I would have never paid this much.

Even $50 would have been generous.  $75 was a ripoff!  $30 would have been more fair considering how bad they were.

The dolls were so dirty and gross, plus their hair was so tangled I thought they  might be ruined.

Also, a bunch of them had yellow stains on them!  One of them was even missing parts, another was actually broken.

I originally bought the lot because I thought I could get it for free after selling a few.  Luckily I can still do that, but they're not worth as much as expected.

Unfortunately two of them are still stained, but thankfully, most of them cleaned up beautifully with a lot of work.

There were only 4 dolls I didn't have, but there were 2 that I only had in box, so I was happy to get them loose.

I mainly wanted them for the DOTD dolls.  I love the Ghoulia!  She's the prettiest one I've seen.  Her and Draculaura go for pretty high even in this condition, so I probably wouldn't have gotten them otherwise.

Well, can't complain about free dolls anyway.  I hope it won't take too long to sell my doubles.

In the next lot I'm really hoping for a Gil or dolls from the Ghouls Rule line.  A lot of these lots have so many repeats!

Floral gold cuff:  $2.25 off eBay (BIN:  $4.97)

The rest are samples from bath and body works and sephora.

Sephora's really going all out now!  I prefer this way, they even spray the card so you don't have to fiddle with the atomizer to smell it.

I wonder if they're going to be giving out that pouch each time though...it seems like overkill!

18K gold plated fox bracelet:  $2.04 (Highest:  $5.04)
Gold plated cut out cuff:  $.80 (Highest:  $4.77)
Leopard silicone bra:  $3.25 (Highest:  $16)

All off eBay.

Nothing much to say about this lot.  I can't believe I only have 4 items in the mail right now!  I'm all eBay'd out.

Monday, February 11, 2013

Silver plated glittery leaf bracelet:  $1.04 (BIN:  $2.86)
Austrian crystal leaf bracelet:  $.94 (Highest:  $3.25)

Grey rhinestone and crystal collar:  $1.55 (Highest:  $3.16)

All off eBay.

The bracelets were kind of disappointing.  They looked nice in the pictures, but I didn't like them very much in person.

Especially the first one!  You couldn't see the leaf pattern at all..it was just a uniform glittery sheen.

I'm all jewelried out for a while!  The only thing I have left right now are a couple of bracelets and a necklace.

Magid - Glittery purple gold frame box clutch:  $7.20 @ The Bay (RSP:  $30)

I went in here intending to use up the last of my gift card, but surprisingly, it scanned in lower than expected!

I thought it'd be $10.80, but I'm not complaining!  Things are 40% off now, they were only 30% when I bought the last clutch.

I still have three something left on my gift card, but I doubt I'll find something this cheap again.

Shake weight with dvd:  $3 (RSP:  $20)
Miracle grip suction hook:  $2 (RSP:  $3.15+)
Xtra closet:  $3 (RSP:  $6+)

All @ Dollarama.

I've wanted the shake weight ever since I heard Dollarama carried it!  I had to wait about a week or two before they started showing up on this side of the country...

Ditto on the suction hooks.  They were totally different than I expected though, I thought they were separate hooks!  The only reason I wanted them was because they supposedly lifted up to 30 pounds.

Since I've been looking for them for so long, I decided to buy them anyway.  The instructions just for my own reference:

Not that I really needed them.  I already have it up in my shower!  I thought it was neat being able to stick your bottles to the wall like that.

Saturday, February 9, 2013

Liv - Liv'n funky wig - Brown with blonde highlights:  $1.50 @ Zellers (RSP:  $5+)

Zellers is closing in two days, and prices are still unreasonable!  This was the only ok one.  I was still a bit undecided, I've seen people get these wigs for as low as $.50!

Plus, I've gotten dolls WITH wigs for the same price!  Geez, even a new in box one for only $1.50 more!

I really liked this one so I bought it.  They had two other wigs, but those ones were $2.70 each!  Total rip off.

I'm considering going back on the last day...they'd definitely be worth the $.90 they'd be then!

It's too bad they're discontinued.  They were pretty nice dolls.

Ai -Paris - Leather collection - Houndstooth leather trim satchel:  $3.99
Metalsmiths Sterling - Black leather purse:  $6.99 (RSP:  $98)

Both @ Value Village.

First purse was a no-brainer!  I'm surprised it was marked so reasonably.  I just love houndstooth and I also have a thing for messenger satchels, so I just had to pick this up!

The other one I wasn't so sure about.  The leather was such gorgeous quality!  Even though I normally dislike floppy bags, this one had so many neat design elements (like the cool silver plate and embossed zippers) I didn't mind.

The only thing is, it's missing its straps!  Plus, it was $6.99...way too much for a purse in that condition.

If it were half off day I'd pick it up for sure.  Even now I still might return it...I kind of thought it retailed for way higher due to the quality!

Turns out the company doesn't even make purses anymore.  They make jewelry.  What a weird combination!

Zara - blue and white striped blazer with ruffle accents (RSP:  $4.99 - $70+)
Zara - brown Ramie sleeveless ruffle button up top (RSP:  $3.99 - $50+)

$1 each @ Kim's Village.

They haven't had a $1 sale in a long time, so when I heard the voice message they left me, I just had to go!

I was pretty lazy though.  I ended up going on the last day, I almost didn't go!

There wasn't really much there, and I wasn't even sure if I should get these.  But since they're good quality and interesting enough I decided to get them.  I probably wouldn't have paid more than a dollar for them!

The blazer is pretty cute.  I wasn't sure about it at first, but I loved it when I put it on!  It has some stains though, I'm really hoping they'll come out.

It's so intricate though, it has tucks and pleats everywhere!  Plus, the buttons look like knotted rope.

The sleeveless top is made out of ramie, I've never heard of it!  That was the primary reason I bought it, I'm all for variety.

Khaki side cut out strapless dress (RSP:  $29)
Metallic silver leaf pattern lace peplum dress (RSP:  $24)
Gold floral brocade lace peplum dress (RSP:  $34)

Black lace bustier dress (RSP:  $29)
Coral lace tiered bustier dress (RSP:  $29)

$4 each @ Sirens.

What a great deal!  I'm glad I didn't buy any of these when they were marked down to $10 last week.

I really love everything in the first picture.  The khaki dress flares out in such a cute way, and those other dresses just look so classy.

The gold one has a really beautiful brocade print in on it, and both of them are metallic in a non-tacky way.

At first I was just going to buy the khaki dress and the coral dress, but I'm glad I bought the rest.  At first the silver one didn't fit, but I reasoned it would after I finally lost the weight.

Then I noticed that they had a gold one made out of stretchier material, and that one ended up fitting!

I think the pattern looks better than the other one anyway.  The first gold one I bought had the exact same print as the silver one.

They had the black lace dress in coral, but I didn't see any point in buying it.  The tiered lace dress was way cuter, it even has a pearl flower brooch!

But the black dress is quite cute.  It even has a crinoline!  I haven't gotten any poofy dresses like that in while.

Monster High - Werecat twins:  $29.97 (RSP:  $39.99)
Monster High - Scaris Frankie:  $15 (RSP:  $29.99)
Barbie accessory pack:  $2.97 (RSP:  $4.99)

All @ Toys R Us.

Wow, I don't think I've ever spent this much at Toy r us before!  I was tempted to buy more too.  Every monster high doll was 25% off, and that made them cheaper than anywhere else!

I was really tempted by a Scaris Ghoulia, but I decided against it.  I really didn't even want to spend as much as I did, but I bought the werecats since they're a toys r us exclusive.  They weren't going to get any cheaper.

I'm just glad I didn't buy them for full price!  They were long out of print and going for high prices when I started collecting.  When I finally saw one in person I considered buying them, since I wasn't sure if it was just a fluke.

Well, turns out they were re-released, since I've been seeing them everywhere!  $15 per doll is still more than I want to spend, but I really liked them so I decided to splurge.

Ironically, the Frankie was $15 too, but that's half off the price she is everywhere!  It just felt too good to pass up.

The cashier said they had another one (same doll), so I really don't know what the deal is.  She is still completely attached to the card with plastic tags though, so I know she wasn't played with and returned.

The Barbie accessories were a splurge.  I really like those shoes!  I don't have any of those modern wedge heels for my dolls.  I even considered buying them full price, so I'm glad I didn't.

$3 is a decent deal considering I like just about everything in the pack.

They even had more Barbies I was considering, but I really need to put a cap on this.  I just love toys so much!

Hopefully that pan am repro barbie shows up cheap at a thrift store, otherwise I might be tempted to buy her at $20!

Glittery leopard skull knuckle clutch:  $12.59 @ BuyinCoins (RSP:  $20+)

Finally!  I've wanted this clutch for so long.  I really love the skull ring detailing, I don't have any purses like this.

I've been stalking them on eBay for a while, but they never went low enough for me.  Most of the BIN's start at $20, and the auctions mostly end at $15+.

A few lucky people got them for $8, but recently they've been going a lot higher than that.  I was a bit conflicted about buying it for this price, but now I'm glad I did!

I'd have to wait a long time to get a better price than that, and this was so worth it!  Their regular price is $14.29, but I got it cheaper since they were having 7% off, plus I had points from doing reviews.

Now I want one in silver..

Thursday, February 7, 2013

Gold plated coral stone necklace:  $2.13 (BIN:  $5.65)
Gold glitter collar necklace:  $1.52 (BIN:  $7.56)
Beige pom pom rabbit fur scarf:  $6.50 (BIN:  $10+)
Mottled colour rabbit fur scarf:  $7 (BIN:  $20+)

All off eBay.

I really wish I didn't buy that pompom scarf!  It's so thin, it's not warmer than a scarf made of cheaper material..plus, I had to wash it because it smelled, and it fell apart!  Ugh!  That's $12 down the drain...that one and the other one.

At least the other one is great.  It's so warm, and it was only a little more than the other ones!  Lesson learned.

I actually have another one on the way...it's knitted and it has fur, plus it was 75% off the BIN price!  I wonder how warm that one will be.
