Concepts in time - Polished chrome frame:  $1 (RSP:  $12.99 - $22)
Designer accent - Mercury glass pillar candle holder:  $1 (RSP:  $16.99 - $30)
Punch Studio - Pack of 2 soaps in a musical box:  $1 (RSP:  $14.99 - $30)

Madison 88 scarf - $1 (RSP:  $29.99 - $65)
Fingerless gloves:  $.50 (RSP:  $12.99 - $25)
Muche et Muchette - Gold tinsel burlap bag:  $1 (RSP:  $14.99 - $25+ - $54 here!)

All @ Winners

I almost didn't go to this one, because it was so out of the way...that would have been a mistake!  I wasn't sure if there would be anything left, but there was plenty I wanted.

Most of it was in perfect/near perfect condition too!  That surprised me.

That pillar candle holder is huge!  You can't even tell from the picture.  It's great quality, even their regular price was decent.

They had a ton of other pillar candle holders for as low as $.70 here!  They were covered in beads, and were nice quality too.  But...I had no use for them.

I don't really have a use for this one either, but it was just too good to pass up!  There was a $2 one I liked too, but I didn't feel like lugging around all of these heavy things.

I almost bought this pretty jeweled Shourouk inspired clutch.  It was nearly perfect, but it was missing two beads.  It was also a floppy velvet, so I didn't like it as much.  If it were cheaper, I would have bought it anyway...but it didn't feel worth it for $5.

Also passed up tall suede boots for $9!  I almost bought them, but in the end, I thought they just looked two rough.  They weren't even the same shade!  Plus there was some other weird discolourations and scuffs, so I'm glad I left them.

Joseph A - Jewel collar blouse:  $3 @ Winners (RSP:  $34.99 - $50)

The only piece of clothing I bought today!  The selection was severely limited at the ones I went to.  This is plus sized, but I think it might work out...I really love the jewel collar!

Clear "crystal" bowl:  $1.50 @ Dollarama

I've seen these around for a long time, but I had no use for them until now.

They look quite nice...they definitely look like fancy glass from far away!  I bought it to glue to my cherub stand.

I noticed that they've raised the price on quite a lot of things, so I thought I should hurry in case they do the same with this!

*edit*

Finished!  The completed project:

Really happy with how it turned out.  No way you could get this for $5.50 anywhere!

Maurice shoe rack:  $3 @ Dollarama

A different one than before, even though it's the same brand.  This one's actually a way better deal, since it holds 10 pairs of shoes.  The other one only holds 6!  So the other one's almost twice the price...I'm a bit annoyed I bought so many!

There is a trade off though.  That one's stackable, and this one isn't.  This one's much smaller.

I do think it looks better though.  The open design looks more modern, plus it's a lot nicer having more bars.

I was thinking I might use this like a little shelf.  I might buy more, depending on how sturdy it is once constructed.

Willow & Clay - Sequin dress:  $3 (RSP:  $39.99 - $50 --and even more here)
RVCA - Branchville jumpsuit:  $.70 (RSP:  $19.99 - $67)

Both @ Winners

Sadly, all I managed to find!  I'm surprised..usually there's more left at this time.  Oh well!

The jumpsuit on a model:

Looks pretty good on!

Lip print mirrored box:  $3 (RSP:  $19.99 - $35)
LOVE mirrored box:  $3 (RSP:  $19.99+)
222 Fifth - Set of 3 "Drinks up" collection bowls:  $2 (RSP:  $9.99)

Cortisio - Garden of Eden print hair dryer:  $16 (RSP:  $45 - $80+)
Chi luxe illuminator:  $2 (RSP:  $14.99 - $27)

All @ Winners

Sadly, this place didn't really have any clothes left, but thankfully there was still something here!

I'm so happy I managed to get those mirrored boxes so cheaply.  I was hoping for that!  I do need to glue a panel back on for each, but that's no big deal for the price.\

Of course I've gotten better deals at Icings / Claires for the same thing...$4 to $5 for completely mint ones!  But I haven't seen them that cheap there in ages.

I've been looking for a hair dryer.  Regular ones would cost me about that price, so this one seemed like a deal  It's supposed to be super fancy and make your hair shiny!

I hope it lasts.  The other one I bought from winners died after a year!

Max Studio home - Crystal door knobs:  $3 each (RSP:  $16.99 - $30)

But of course I had to buy two to make a complete set, so it's more like $6 vs $16,99.  Still a decent deal!

When I was looking for crystal door knobs a while back, the only one I could find was $40 at a hardware store...this price was a much more appealing option!  Even the regular price was a steal in comparison.

Though I might have to take these back in the end.  I'm not sure if they're compatible with my door!  I guess we'll see.

Jorge - Gold dress:  $3 (RSP:  $19.99 - $33)
Jorge - Purple shirt tunic:  $3 (RSP:  $19.99+)

Luisa Pagnoli pants:  $3 (RSP:  $34.99 - $75)
222 fifth - Set of 4 "Drink up!" collection plates:  $1 (RSP:  $9.99+)

All @ Winners

I'm so surprised the plates were so low!  I saw them at $3 and considered buying them then, but now I'm glad I didn't.

The pants are quite nice, but sadly, they don't fit me right!  Going to have to return them.

Magnetic dry erase board:  $3
Salad spinner:  $3

Both @ Dollarama

I saw both of these last week, but at a faraway location...I didn't want to carry them around, so I thought I'd buy them locally.

Well, they aren't anywhere else!  I've been looking everywhere, and no other location has them.  There's no guarantee that they'll ever get them in, so I decided to just buy them here.

Ed Hardy - "Samantha" tote bag:  $3 @ Dollarama

I couldn't find out how much retail was, but I saw sellers on eBay asking around $25.  So I'm guessing retail was more than that!

It's actually a nice quality bag, well worth the three bucks.  Normally their designs are pretty obnoxious, but I thought this one was quite nice!

They had it in black too, but I thought blue made everything pop.

Ceramic cherub stand:  $3.99
Polly Pocket car:  $1.99

Both @ Value Village

The stand was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but I had a great idea for it.  I'm going to make another catch-all bowl similar to my other one.

This one's going to be pink.  I've already seen the perfect bowl at Dollarama!  It looks like a clear decorative glass, just like my other one.

I do see these kind of ceramic cherub things frequently, but they're either really overpriced, or badly sculpted.  This one was wonderfully sculpted, so I had to get it!

I was unsure about the polly car, but I got it anyway because it was in perfect condition.  I had one that was in bad condition, so I thought it was time for an upgrade!

Print silk shirt:  $17.46 (RSP:  $69)
Contrast silk shirt - off white:  $13.96 (RSP:  $59)

Quilted rainboots:  $10.46 (RSP:  $49)
Contrast silk shirt - light grey:  $13.96 (RSP:  $59)

All @ Joe Fresh

They finally had another percent off/free shipping sale!  I was so excited they actually had stuff worth getting.

Always a sucker for cheap silk...I wish they would go down to $10 again though, like the first few times I bought them.  $14 a piece is still a deal though.

I held off on buying the floral one for a while, but in the end, I just had to get it too!  The print was just too pretty.  I do wish I paid less for it though.

The rainboots were a happy surprise.  I needed them,  and I wasn't seeing them for cheap anywhere else.

They actually ended up being great quality too!  Really thick and durable...the regular price would have been a good deal for the quality.

Chocolate heart:  $.34 (RSP:  $1.50)
Sweet tarts heart:  $.34 (RSP:  $1.25)

Both @ Dollarama

Their seasonal candy usually tastes horrible, but the chocolate was just so pretty!  The other one's a brand name, so no worries about the taste there.

Gold zipper detail boots
Black lace up boots w/quilted panel
Brown lace up boots w/quilted panel

$8.33 each @ Sirens (RSP:  $44.99 each)

Glad I went here!  Normally I don't bother with this location, since it's the smallest and crappiest one.

They had some boots for $10, and I used their facebook coupon to get some additional money off.  I could have gotten them cheaper if I bought them separately, but I didn't want to risk them selling out, or bother to come back again.

The brown one was love at first sight!  That's why I still bought it even though it was my actual size, and not the size up I usually buy for comfort.

The black boots are the exact same style, but I don't think the colour combination looks as good.  Both of them would have been great buys at $10 though, since they're much thicker and better quality then usual.  They're not as shiny and super fake looking.

The last pair are flimsier and more of the usual quality, but I liked the zipper detail.  They were flattering on, so I thought I might as well get them.

Now I want to check out the other Sirens!

Plaid insert puffer coat:  $19.99 (RSP:  $189.90)
Sheer embroidery top:  $3.74 (RSP:  $29.50)
Kate trouser jean:  $3.74 (RSP:  $69.50)

All @ Ricki's

I was really excited about the coat.  It looked so nice in the picture!  But when I saw it in person, I was pretty disappointed...it looks pretty ordinary.  Not worth their retail price at all!

It is warm, but the material's kind of formless.  It's not figure flattering at all, and the plaid material looks cheap.  Looks about the same quality as any of the cheaper stores, but of course they charge way less for theirs (half price or more!).

Other than that, the colour was completely off!  It looked brown in the picture, but when I saw it, I thought they mistakenly sent me the black...all of the puffy places look completely black!  Only the plaid looks somewhat brown.

For the price I paid, I guess it's ok...I was just expecting something much nicer.

Dex - Long drape cardigan:  $4.99 (RSP:  $69)
Guilty - Pointelle cardigan:  $4.99 (RSP:  $49.50)

Both @ Bootlegger

Not the best price, but I needed some more cardigans.

Life Canvas - Pop Art Journal:  $2 @ Dollarama (RSP:  ~$11.99)

I saw this on instagram:

And I hoped to find one of my own!  I still haven't, but today I found this journal.  That's a good start!

All of her hair (including the eyelashes and brows) is actually flocked..thought that was a nice touch.  There wasn't a price either, so I assumed it was $3.  I was so happy that it ended up being cheaper!

It's actually just as nice on the inside, which is a bonus.  Most notebooks just have the standard lined page, but nearly all of these ones were colourful and unique.

I even considered getting a backup, but I guess that's not necessary.  Still hoping I can find the organizer above, and this notebook organizer if they have it:

Here's hoping!

Surreal entertainment - Sonic the Hedgehog glass:  $3 @ Winners (RSP:  $12.99)

Wasn't sure about this, but I thought it was neat enough for the price.  I would have been happier paying $2, but since this was the only one there, I didn't know how long it would last.

Later on I found another one for $5!

Tuesday, February 9, 2016

BCBG Max Azria - Long v neck top:  $3 @ Winners (RSP:  $24.99 - $140)

I'm surprised...I went here yesterday, and I saw that they had marked things down again today!  I thought they only did that once a week, but I guess they've changed things around.

This was the only decently priced thing.  Luckily, there's nothing wrong with it either.  I can't believe it was priced so high originally...there's really nothing about it that would suggest that price.

Dry erase board:  $2.50
Flocked rubber mat:  $3

Both @ Dollarama

I've never seen those mats there before...they look way more expensive than $3!  I loved this print, so had to get it.

There was another print I liked too, so I might go back for it.  I wonder how long they'll last though.

Elf pants:  $1.66 (RSP:  $16.99)
Navy asymmetrical bodycon tank dress:  $1.66 (RSP:  $25)
Grey asymmetrical bodycon tank dress:  $1.66 (RSP:  $25)

All @ Urban Planet

After getting that elf sweater, I had to get these pants!  I didn't know that when I bought the other piece.  It's much nicer having a complete set!

I almost didn't buy the tank dresses, since I do have some in the same colour...but I picked them up because of the neat hem.

Also because I was sure I wanted the pants.  Might as well make it an even better deal!

Elf in training hoodie:  $1.81
Chunky heel boots with side zip tie:  $1.81

Both @ Bluenotes

Crazy deals!  They were actually $5 each, but I saw they recently started offering the coupon.

Then I paid with a gift card, so it ended up being super cheap.  Hooray!

*edit*

My pair didn't have a price tag, and I forgot to check...but turns out they're still on the website for $20, and they retailed for $54.99!!  That's pretty high for that store.

You can see how high it is from the back!

I'm surprised it costs so much more on the website.

Another subscriber freebie...I love this mall!  It came packaged like this:

They said it was a $47 value, and there were only 20 of them there.  I found out about it 3 hours after they posted it, so I'm happy they still had some left.

Stone sleeveless blazer:  $4.99 (RSP:  $69.50)

Navy stripe straw tote:  $3.99 (RSP:  $39.50)

Both @ Cleo

I wanted to like the blazer, but it was so shapeless in person!  I was surprised, since I thought the size I bought might have been too tight already.

If I sized down even more, it probably would have looked good...but it's not likely for that size to come back in stock.

Too bad!  I thought it looked really nice here:

I might end up returning the tote too.  It had some scratches on the leather flap, plus some dirt that might not come off.
