Brown leather trench coat:  $15 @ Value Village

I went in because they were having a half off sale.  I didn't think the style was that exciting, and almost put it back on the rack...but I bought it because the leather was so soft and supple.

I'm addicted to leather coats now, but I'd never pay full price!

That includes full thrift store prices.  I don't see the point of paying $30 when I know I could get them for much less at another time.

I'm definitely going in the next time they have this sale!  I just wish I went to more, I found a really nice one a few days later at another location, but didn't want to pay full price.

Earl jean jeans:  $3 (RSP:  $24.99-$54)
Sannino - green leather gloves:  $2 (RSP:  $24.99-$45)
Kemp Aromatherapy - rose, geranium and lavender bubble bath melts:  $.50 (RSP:  $19.99+)

Now this was another surprise.  I wasn't even planning on going to this location since it had next to nothing two weeks ago. I ended up going because I had time to kill and it was in the area-I'm glad I did!

It did have one small table left, but I managed to find some things I wanted.

Those gloves are so odd.  I don't know why they're priced so high since they're unlined and unhemmed!  I think it's because they're made in Italy.  At least the leather is really nice.

I thought the bath melts were chocolate at first!  The heart shaped box, the paper cupcake liners, all of the white...that's originally why I picked it up.

I don't normally buy bath stuff I wouldn't use, but then I saw the price-I couldn't believe their price was $20!  Makes me wonder what actual retail is. $35!

Anyway, it was pretty and cheap so it came home with me.  I probably won't even use them.  They smell good so I'll probably just put them in my bathroom.

Brown tights:  $1 (RSP:  $5.99+)
Black control top pantyhose:  $1 (RSP:  $5.99+)
Antonio Nicci - Brown button leather gloves:  $2 (RSP:  $19.99-$28)
Brown bow leather gloves:  $1 (RSP:  $34.99-$70)

I'm glad I went out today.  I really didn't expect to find anything, and the shelves were pretty bare when I went...but I walked away with cheap leather gloves so I'm happy.

The brown tights are pretty nice quality, and so is the pantyhose. I'm stocked up for a while now!

Brown leather jacket:  $6.50 @ Salvation Army

This is actually a guy's jacket, but I found the style to be surprisingly feminine.  I'm going to resize it and come away with an awesome trench coat.

The buttons are on a different side than I'm used to, but I'll manage.

Alchemia soap w/Royal Strafford plate:  $.70 (RSP:  $7.99)
Pantyhose:  $.70 (RSP:  $3.99-$6)
KGB- Blue leopard ipad case:  $1 (RSP:  $19.99-$40)
German chocolate:  $.20 (RSP:  $3.99-$7)
Nine West tights:  $.50 (RSP:  $3.99-$6)
Garuglieri - Calf hair/leather leopard belt:  $1 (RSP:  $59.99-$100+)
Chinese laundry - shearling belt:  $2 (RSP:  $19.99-$35+)
Brave beltworks - leather belt:  $2 (RSP:  $29.99-$95+)
Bridges - Shearling lined belt:  $1 (RSP:  $14.99-$25+)
Diamond weave pantyhose:  $1 (RSP:  $3.99+)
Brown pantyhose:  $.70 (RSP:  $3.99)
Black pantyhose:  $.30 (RSP:  $1.99)

I picked up the soap on a whim.  It was cheap and kind of pretty, plus the plate is microwavable..it's all useful!  The soap is made in Milano and the plate is made in England.

The calf hair belt is amazing!  I couldn't believe it was that low.  There's something missing to connect it, but that'll be as easy fix.  The retail price was over $100!

French connection - Kosmic Kiss dress:  $2 (RSP:  $29.99-$78)
Baby phat dress:  $2 (RSP:  $29.99 - $69)

I took a chance on these and put them back on the rack.  They were a bit more than I wanted to pay at first, but luckily it worked out and nobody took them.

Dex - sweater dress w/belt:  $3 (RSP:  $29.99-$40+)
Dex fresh - sweater dress:  $2 (RSP:  $29.99-$40+)

Calvin Klein top:  $2 (RSP:  $29.99-$50)
ADiva - Chiffon top:  $2 (RSP:  $24.99-$55)

Jessica Simpson - wesley top:  $1 (RSP:  $19.99-$54)
Flats & Heels - Grey ruched top:  $1 (RSP:  $16.99-$30)

The Jessica Simpson top in another colour:

Beige slip dress:  $.50 (RSP:  $14.99+)
Vero moda - Beige top:  $2 (RSP:  $19.99-$40+)

The last one is a pretty thick material and it flows well, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought it.

Cyc - Rosette/rabbit fur shirt:  $3 (RSP:  $39.99-$70)
Berretti - Rabbit fur trim cardigan:  $2 (RSP:  $49.99-$100)

I probably wouldn't have gotten either of these if they didn't have real fur.  I was considering buying the second one when it was $5!

Sarsaparilla - Wool sweater dress:  $2 (RSP: $29.99-$60)
Buffalo by David Bitton - hendrix sweater:  $2 (RSP:  $29.99-$69)
Urban cotton company - Blue sweater:  $1 (RSP:  $19.99-$40)
Urban cotton company - Red sweater:  $1 (RSP:  $19.99-$40)

Dalia - Coat w/fur collar:  $3 (RSP:  $49.99-$80)
Urban Cotton company - Long sleeve shirt:  $1 (RSP:  $14.99-$30)

Myell - Red/black skirt:  $1 (RSP:  $12.99-$24+)
Myell - Purple/black skirt:  $1 (RSP:  $12.99-$24+)
Myell - Grey/black skirt:  $1 (RSP:  $12.99-$24+)
Boom boom jeans - Leatherette skirt:  $1 (RSP:  $12.99-$25)

Cheap Monday - jeans:  $3 (RSP:  $24.99-$60)
Royalty by YMI jeans:  $2 (RSP:  $24.99-$48)
Victoria Beckham jeans:  $2 (RSP:  $34.99-$70+)
Mavi - lindy skinny low rise jeans:  $2 (RSP:  $34.99-$70+)
Adrienne Vittadini studio - grey dress pants:  $3 (RSP:  $29.99+)
Lady Dutch - Black pants w/rosette belt:  $2 (RSP:  $19.99-$40+)

I love the belt on those black pants!  I would have paid that much for it alone.

S.L. Fashions - Beaded chiffon halter dress:  $7 (RSP:  $69.99-$140+)
Elogy - Belted dress:  $.70 (RSP:  $16.99-$34+)

The chiffon halter is one of my favourites this round! I was considering picking it up when I saw it for $16 but I'm glad I didn't.  It's so gorgeous! Pleated and ruched in all of the right places.

I was also hoping to get the belted dress, but I'm glad I waited until it was this low.  It needs some repairs..I didn't feel like it was worth $2-$3 as is.

French connection - All geometry - strapless dress:  $3 (RSP:  $29.99-$60)
Wishes*wishes*wishes - Grey ruffled strap dress:  $3 (RSP:  $24.99-$50+)

London mist by Roel - umbrella w/bag:  $2 (RSP:  $12.99-$20)
Roel - umbrella w/bag:  $2 (RSP:  $12.99-$20)
Jessica Simpson - fringe belt:  $.70 (RSP:  $19.99-$38)
North face - soma swirl wool scarf:  $1 (RSP:  $19.99-$40)
Buffalo by David Bitton - studded leather belt:  $3 (RSP:  $29.99-$58)
Guess - wide leopard belt:  $3 (RSP:  $16.99-$48)

I had such a great haul today!  I really didn't expect to come away with what I did.  The last time I went to this location, there was barely anything I wanted!

My favourite is the leopard belt.  I saw it at $7 but was waiting for it to come down..this is more along the lines of what I wanted to pay for it.

Mame momoko - blue labyrinth:  $2.99 @ Value Village (RSP:  $20+)

I really grappled with buying this doll.

I probably shouldn't have.  I don't even like this line, and I probably won't care about her in a few days...but she just seemed so cute at the moment.  The official picture:

The novelty of finding a MIB Japanese doll at a thrift store was another factor.  That is one sun-damaged box though!

Sisi intimate - Green rosette detail bra:  $2 (RSP:  $12.99-$24)
Ellen Tracy - Leopard print bra:  $3 (RSP:  $12.99-$32)
Knit tights:  $2 (RSP:  $7.99+)
Sheer tights:  $2 (RSP:  $7.99-$12)

I haven't actually tried any of these on, so I might end up returning them. The first bra is really nice quality and I love the rosette detailing.

As for the second one..I'm just a sucker for leopard print.

The sheer tights resemble pantyhose but are a lot sturdier.  Neither of the tights are that great price-wise, but it's a price I'm willing to pay, plus they're both pretty practical.

Hoping to hit up more Winners tomorrow!

Brown suede boots (RSP:  $54.75)
Fur booties (RSP:  $45.50)
Lace up wedgies (RSP:  $45.50)
Mirrored peacock jewelry box (RSP:  $51.50)

$5 each @ Icing.

I'm so glad I decided to go to this one today.  The weather was crappy, the traffic was bad, and I had trouble with my car alarm, but it was so worth it in the end!

When I got there, they had a lot of nice shoes that I hadn't seen before but none in my size.

I asked the clerk about it and she brought out 4 for me! Now I wonder what she would have brought out if I asked for my actual size.

The highlight for me was the mirrored jewelry box - it's so gorgeous!

I've always wanted one but never wanted to pay their prices. I was really hoping I could find one for this cheap but it's never happened before.

Maybe coming early had something to do with it.

Grey suede wedge booties (RSP:  $43.50)
Lace up brown boots (RSP:  $45.50)
Lace up shearling trim boots (RSP:  $54.75)

$5 each @ Icing.

I'm so glad I decided to pop into this store today!  With all of the Winners madness, I really didn't feel like it.

Turns out they've had this sale on for a week..I wish I went in earlier!  The clerk said they had 40 pairs at the start.

I was even in the area, but didn't bother to check since they weren't having a 5 for $10 sale..their normal sales are rarely worth checking out.

White shirt:  $2 (RSP: $16.99-$38)
Brown turtleneck sweater:  $2 (RSP:  $14.99-$30)

I wish I had more time to go to more than two Winners today. Searching took a lot more time than I thought!

I didn't have time to try either of these on so I don't know if any of them will be staying.

The white shirt, strangely, has no tags of any kind at all.

Wishes*Wishes*Wishes - burnished gold rosette strap dress:  $3 (RSP:  $24.99-$50+)
Max Studio - Pleated chiffon dress:  $3 (RSP:  $49.99-$95)

Adrienne Vittadini Studio - cowl necked shirt:  $3 (RSP:  $24.99-$48)
Coco & tashi - lace accent shirt w/ lace up back:  $2 (RSP:  $16.99-$32)

It's a good thing final clearance only comes twice a year - I don't think I could stand the excitement more than that!

I really didn't think things would be cheap this early on, but I'm glad I decided to take a look anyway. Now I'm excited to see what the other ones have in store for me!

Pink jelly earbuds:  $2 @ EFADS
Pink chiffon body lotion:  free @ Bath and body works (RSP:  $5)
Vanilla body lotion:  free @ Bath and body works (RSP:  $5.50)
Ruched pouch:  $1.25 @ EFADS

I'm sure the quality sucks, but I needed them and I liked the colour.  If they're more comfortable than the other ones, that would be an added bonus.

Got my family members to take advantage of the BBW promotion.  They smell good, but that long list of ingredients is pretty alarming.

Body lotion: free @ Bath and body works (RSP:  $5)
Fairweather - Leather coat w/coyote fur trim:  $19.60 @ Value Village
Sailor moon doll:  $2.80 @ Value Village

I initially went out to get my BBW freebie, but ended up going to Value Village since I hadn't gone in a while.

I'm so glad I did! I'm normally pretty squeamish about buying clothes secondhand, but this coat was worth it.  It's so me, and I'm sure it retailed for a couple hundred dollars.

I only bought it because it looked to be in like new condition...plus, it's gorgeous!

I probably wouldn't have bothered if the materials were any different, but where else can you get leather and coyote fur for under $20?

There's a similar coat at Danier leather going for $700 - retail price was $1,300!

I'm guessing the coat is from the 80's, judging by the yellowed tag.  Also, seeing how it's marked size 6 and fits like a 0-2!

I ended up getting 30% off my total, it was a one day only promo if you spend over $30.

The sailor moon doll-I just couldn't leave it behind.  I might just fix her up and sell her.

Aeropostale Dorm dogs (RSP:  $6.50)

All freebies from various  promotions. I picked up a second dog for a friend.

Lace bustier dress (RSP:  $20)
Pleated chiffon bustier dress (RSP:  $35)

$10 each @ Sirens.

I grappled with buying the one on the right for a while, but decided to buy it after a very long week.

I'm glad I did-it's gorgeous!  I just wish it was a lighter colour.

I bought the other dress at another location.  I love the bustier, but the skirt is really cheap.  I don't think it's worth $10, but the top half won me over.

Thursday, February 9, 2012

Brown halter dress (RSP:  $39.80)
Black halter dress (RSP:  $39.80)
Black mirrored bustier top (RSP:  $39.80)

$3.50 each @ Urban Behavior.

I'm so glad I didn't pick these up when they were $5 each.  I was considering it a week ago but didn't think they were worth it.

The black dress looked so plain I didn't think I would buy it.  I tried it on a whim and surprisingly, it's gorgeous!  I'm glad I bought it.

I probably shouldn't have bought the bustier but I just can't pass up a cheap one.

Tuesday, February 7, 2012

Fur bomber vest (RSP:  $29)
Pleated halter dress (RSP:  $16)

Both for $17 @ Urban Planet.

It's funny how I never gave this store a second look until recently.  Their styles are bizarrely varied, but sometimes they do have gems.

Like this dress!  I saw the same style at another store and was just dying to get it...but not for $24.  I was waiting for it to go half off but that never happened.  Luckily, this one came up for even cheaper!

It's gorgeous and it looks amazing.  Too bad they don't have it in any other decent colours.

The store was having a buy one get one for $1 sale on their winter merchandise.  I might check out the other ones this weekend.
