"Dainty biscuit" Blythe doll:  $14.99 @ Salvation Army

I was really surprised to see this today!  I saw it from far away and assumed it was one of those cheap knockoffs.  Imagine my surprise when she ended up being real!

They had her with the good stuff behind the cash register, so I wonder how they determined the price.  I think it's kind of high for something from there, but of course way low considering how much she's worth.

I can't find any recent auctions but the new ones are all being sold for around $400+!  Well, I haven't seen them sell at that price so I don't know what she goes for.  I'm sure she'd be at least $100 in this condition.

But....my last one was complete with box and I only paid $7 for that one.  Doesn't seem as good a deal in comparison :P.

She has a hair cut and someone cut off her pull ring too!  The string is just about shoulder height.  I really don't see who would give a kid a doll this expensive.

Well, she's mine now, and I'm glad.  Now if I could only find a Kenner!

Licca doll
My Little Pony - Talking Princess Cadence

$1.99 each @ Value Village

Can't pass up a Licca, even though this one has terrible hair!  Strange, because it is one of the modern ones.  She would definitely be a candidate for a reroot, but I doubt I'll bother.

Surprised I found another cheap pony this soon!  This one talks and lights up just like the last one, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered.  This is what she originally came with:

I can do without those bits.

Juicy Couture - Leather jewel clutch:  $9.99
Kurhn doll:  $3.99

Both @ Value Village

Just found out that this location is closing down.  Too bad, I've found a lot of good stuff there recently!

I was really excited about the Juicy Couture clutch.  I'm pretty sure it's real, and the details are gorgeous!  The leather is quite nice too.  There's some wear, but it'll look great after a cleaning.

I just love that big jewel, and the rhinestone bows on the side.   Those look completely new, thank goodness, or the bag could have looked pretty used.

I'm surprised the price was so reasonable.  They usually price Juicy stuff ridiculously high, so I don't know why this one wasn't.  It's usually the gaudy velvet stuff that I would never buy, so I'm ok with that.  The retail price was probably around $250.

I found a purse from the same collection..same gold leather and gem details:

Then the exact same Jewel style in a bowler bag:

I don't think either of those look very nice, but the style does look good as a smaller bowler bag:

It's in burgundy too!

But, I think it looks best as a clutch.  Found the exact same style I got in black:

I didn't really want to pay that much for the Kurhn doll, but I was already surprised to find it in the first place.  I got a clone a while back, and I did want a real one...I don't know if I'll ever find one again, so I had to get it.

Bag of dolls:  $3.99 @ Value Village

I actually went to three today, and this was the last one.  I was starting to think that I wouldn't come away with anything today!

I thought that was a Jenny doll when I first saw it.  It turned out to be a clone from a Korean company I've never heard of...Young Toys.  Turns out she's called Jouju, and they still make them!  This one's from 2004.

She looks dead on!  The quality looks about the same too, but the body looks just like a Barbie's (as in stockier than usual).  I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this doll before.

Of course, I still love my Blythes too.  These ones have some of their stock outfit, so I was pretty psyched about that.  I mostly find them nude, and it's been a while!

Takara 2nd generation Lady Licca doll:  $2.99 @ Value Village

Hooray!  I love finding Licca dolls.  I actually didn't even notice that this one was taller, since the face was exactly the same as the other ones.

After I realized she was nearly the same size as Jenny, I thought she was probably a Jenny friend.  But I found out who she really was after looking her up online.  I think they should have changed her face if they wanted her to be more mature.

I bought this last Monday, the same day I went to Talize.  Too bad I didn't find anything at the other Value Village!

Thierry Mugler Couture pantsuit:  $5

Polly pocket car:  $1.99
Licca and Littlest pet shop dolls:  $1.99
Intricate cherub frame:  $2.99

All @ Value Village

Oh man, was this a good deal!  And to think, I almost stayed at home.  That would have been a mistake.

Thierry Mugler is one of my favourite designers, and it was always a dream of mine to find something of his.  I nearly jumped for joy when I saw this:

I found it minutes after entering the store!  So happy it was there for me.  I did find this blazer before, but since it wasn't really made by him (made in China, for cosmetic reps) it wasn't really the same.

Of course I'm always happy when I find LPS Blythes, so that was good too.  And Liccas, which are even rarer!  Someone had put her randomly in the collectibles section, so I'm glad I was sharp enough to spot her.

That frame is gorgeous too!  Normally they're not sculpted very well, nor are they as interesting as this one, so $3 was a steal.  I think I might spraypaint it gold, and it would look much nicer as a mirror rather than a frame.

Overall, such a great day!

Bag of toys:  $3.99 for all @ Talize

Well, there was way more than that, but it was nothing I wanted.  I only really wanted the Licca...I think she's early fourth generation!  I don't have any others in that style.

Her face is so sweet, but it's too bad her mouth looks smeared!  I think she might have had real makeup on her.

She looks better after a washing, but her mouth still looks a bit stained.  I wouldn't have wanted to pay that much for her alone, but with all of the neat furniture, it was a decent deal.

That throne is awesome!  It actually doubles as storage.  The seat lifts up, then there's a compartment below that.  It's a disney toy, but I can't find where it came from.

Arker - Icy - Bride doll:  $27.21 (RSP:  $35+)
Arker - Icy - Coser doll:  $27.21 (RSP:  $35+)

Both off of Aliexpress

I've wanted that bride for a while!  She looked gorgeous in so many pictures I've seen of her.  She didn't disappoint...except her hair was a horrible rat's nest!  It took about an hour to comb it out, but it looks wonderful now.  That was a total surprise...the hair looked completely ruined when I started!

The other one was a bit disappointing.  She's supposed to be Hatsune Miku, but the hair is all wrong!  I thought it would look ok out of the ponytails, but it just looks dumb because her hair is permanently indented like that.

At least her outfit is pretty great.  Still, now I wish I didn't buy her!  Maybe I'll reroot her with longer hair or something.

The bride smells gross like the last one, but thankfully the smell came out after a wash.  I wonder what's with these dolls?

Factory girl Blythe:  $35.38 @ Aliexpress

I love this girl!  She's even better than the other one.  Her hair colour is so pretty...it's like a mango, but more of a pale orange.

Surprisingly, her hair is great quality!  Even better than my official Blythes.

It does make the other one look worse in comparison though...her hair was nylon and looks so gross and greasy, even after a wash.  It doesn't fall in a very nice way, so I might just sell her.  I really just don't like her much after seeing this one!

The seller raised the price soon after I bought her, so I'm glad I got her when I did.  I just kind of wish I got one of the other promotional ones, since that one went up in price too!

Burgundy hair factory Blythe:  $35.38 off Aliexpress

I was holding off because I wasn't sure of the ethics of buying her, but she was so cheap, I couldn't resist!

She was on sale, plus I had a coupon.  Her regular price is $47.50, which is still pretty decent.  Most factory Blythes on eBay are $80+!

I'm glad I bought her -- she's beautiful in person!  She's completely distinct from my other two as well, so that's a bonus.

Her face is a mold that I don't already have, as is her skintone.  She's pale, while all of my other ones are a pretty dark natural tone.

She even has earring holes, which was surprising.  Because of that (and the quality), I'm sure she actually is made out of leftover factory parts, opposed to just being a fake made from the same mold.

I have another one coming.  I'll probably buy more once they're on sale again!

The seller is excellent.  It only took 10 days for her to arrive, and that's including the date of purchase!  Most sellers are so slow, this is a nice change.

Yeolume doll:  $65.64 off eBay (RSP:  $88)

I used to be really crazy about Pullips 5 years ago...I stopped collecting them, but I decided to see what came out during those years.

Then I found out about her.  She just came out last year, and there have only been two releases.  I don't know why, since she's adorable!  I like her way better than dals or any of their other releases.

The price I got her for included shipping and customs, so I thought that was a pretty great deal (she was $45 without it).  She would have cost me at least $100 anywhere else!

I kind of want another one to customize.  I didn't think I'd like her so much, but I do!  Her face is just so sweet.

This was also the first time I've bought something using ebay's global shipping program.  You pay the custom fees up front, which is way better since there would have been an extra $10 charge if it was done through Canada post.

Another plus is, the service is tracked and way faster than normal...at the same price as USPS!  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Littlest Pet shop Blythe - India orange sari style doll
2 Jenny dolls

$7.98 for everything @ Value Village

Hooray!  I didn't expect to find a LPS blythe here, but thankfully I did.  My streak hasn't been broken yet, and I really hope it won't be.

I've seen a surprising amount of Jenny dolls throughout the years.  Most were vintage and nude, so after a while I started to pass on them.

I thought about passing on these ones too, but since they were clothed and modern, I couldn't resist!

The maid outfit is actually pretty neat too.  I'm not too crazy about the wedding gown, but it would actually be quite cute if it were a lot shorter.

Bag of doll furniture:  $1.99
Novi Stars - Original Mae Tallik:  $1.99

All @ Value Village

Yep, still the same one!  I'm always on the lookout for interesting furniture, but it hardly ever turns up.  I was so happy to find this one today...it has a ton of neat stuff, and the price is just amazing for them!

Most of it is Bratz furniture, but it's neat.  I really like the chairs.  Normally VV prices these kind of lots at $5-$6, so I was surprised this one was so reasonably priced.

This fridge is a barbie one.  It even had stuff inside!

The scale is a little weird for everything.  It's bigger than 1:12, but smaller than 1:6.  Maybe it's 1:8?

I love Novi stars, and I do want the complete set.  I had a chance to buy this one new for around $10, but I thought that was too much.  She doesn't really come with much so it didn't seem worth it.  I was waiting to find her secondhand, and now it's happened!

She's missing her hair and antennae, plus her pet (which was so cute, I would have liked to have it) and her stand...she really didn't come with much!  I'm going to have to make her a wig since I don't like her like this.  Her original hair wasn't anything special though.

I didn't mention it in the other post, but these are the other dolls from the $3.99 bag.  I was so excited when I found that Licca!  I love those things, and they hardly ever come around.  Funnily enough, 3/4 of them were found at this exact same store.

I'm surprised they come around at all, since they're not really sold here (except in pricey niche stores).  I'm still kicking myself for passing up that $4 brunette in Vancouver.  I didn't like them as much then, and I thought it was too expensive for a doll with a chewed up foot.  She was gorgeous though, I still don't have any with that hair colour and she was vintage.

Also wanted the littlest pet shop Blythe...I love those things too!  I kind of wish I bought some new while they were still around, but they were just never cheap enough.  Turns out this one was from the target exclusive "get pretty boutique":

This one has really nice feeling hair, and it's sooo long...if I put it down, it goes way past her feet!  It looks better in the ponytail.

The original had such cute flats...I wish she came with them!  Some of the clothing wasn't bad, though I'm not too crazy about the dress she came with.

The Silver Crane Company - "Eternal love" Victorian print book tin:  $1.99 (RSP:  ~$18)
Kurhn clone doll:  $2.99
Alabaster box with limoge print:  $2.99

All @ Value Village

I was in the area, so I just had to go!  I've been buying a lot of trinkets lately, but they've just been so good.

I couldn't snatch that tin up fast enough!  The idea is just adorable, the tin is shaped like a book.  It even has some 3D embossing that actually looks pretty impressive...they do look like real objects in the picture!  From far away anyway.

I'm a sucker for Victorian images, especially ones concerning love.  Plus, the price was super cheap.  There was no reason not to buy it!

I'm pretty sure it used to hold cookies.  I wonder what the original price was?  It was made in England in 1995.  "Probably the best tins in the world" is part of their motto!

Well, it did have some wear, but I couldn't pass it up.  There were two other ones with totally boring prints, and of course those ones were in pristine condition.  But I've never seen anything like this and I probably won't again.

The alabaster box was the first thing I picked up.  The company's name was on a sticker in cursive, but I can't make it out.  The print looks pretty from far away, but the details aren't super great.  I was undecided, but thought for $3, why not.

Same with the doll.  I thought she was a real Kurhn doll because the face paint was so pretty, but it turns out she's a knockoff.  Second time!  I wonder when I'll find a real one.  They normally go for $20, but the ones in ethnic outfits like this go for $40+.

My brother was going to an anime convention (Anime Revolution), and he mentioned that these voice actors were going to be there.  I got him to bring these just in case, but I really didn't think he could meet them...they were only there for half hour slots afterall.

To my surprise, he met them both!  I like both of these shows a lot, so it was really nice to get some of my favourite items signed.

I think I bought the doll for $25 or less...I can't remember the exact price.  I was actually trying to sell it before, but there's no way now!  The guy even put my name on it, which I really appreciated.  It was the voice actor of Tuxedo Mask, Toru Furuya.

I think I bought the inuyasha plush for around $15..it was definitely less than $20.  That one was signed by Kappei Yamaguchi, who also does the voice of Usopp!  I had a backup in case they were willing to sign two, but that didn't pan out.

Rainbow hair fake Takara Jenny doll:  $2 @ MCC Thrift Shop

I actually saw this on Wednesday and wanted to buy it, but stupidly, I had no cash!

They had a $5 minimum for credit card, and even though I looked for a very long time, I couldn't find anything else I wanted.

When I saw she was still here, it felt like a sign!  I had cash this time so she's finally mine.

She's pretty good quality for a knockoff.  Her face is exactly the same as Takara Jenny's!

Another shocker - they started charging tax!  That sucks.

Neto - Leather jacket:  $9.99
Mimi world dolls:  $1.99 each

All @ Value Village.

I debated buying this jacket.  It was the first time I've seen a leather jacket there that was priced so low!  The norm is around $30, which I would probably never pay unless it was new with tags or had a killer design.

I remember reading some horror stories from a person who used to worked there:  they said that if pricing is too good to be true, it's because they're taking pity on you!  As in, there is something disgusting about the item that you wouldn't want to know.

That was lurking in the back of my mind, but I tried it on anyway.  It looked so good!

It has some slight marks, which is hopefully why it was marked that low...hopefully.

Hoping for more cheap leather coats in this length!  I saw a tan one at the same location for the same price, except that one was really scuffed up.

Maybe I'd buy it for $5 if it's there when the next half price day comes around, and only if there was some way to make it look presentable.

There was also a fur coat for $15! I was really tempted to buy it, but I didn't because the fur didn't feel very nice.  Why have a fur coat if you can't pet it?

Plus, the fur was shedding everywhere, it was way too big, and it looked really ugly on me.

But here's hoping I'll find a nice fur coat in that price range in the near future.

Mame momoko - blue labyrinth:  $2.99 @ Value Village (RSP:  $20+)

I really grappled with buying this doll.

I probably shouldn't have.  I don't even like this line, and I probably won't care about her in a few days...but she just seemed so cute at the moment.  The official picture:

The novelty of finding a MIB Japanese doll at a thrift store was another factor.  That is one sun-damaged box though!

Licca doll:  $1.99 @ Value Village (RSP:  $6+)
Stationery pack:  $1.99 @ Value Village

Funny how I found another one so soon.  I remember passing up a few Jenny dolls a while back, but I recently decided I would resume rescuing any like dolls I came across from now on.

The other one I bought just for the angel telephone book.  It's used and has a few pages missing, but I've never seen one like that before.  I'm just such a sucker for vintage angels...it's actually made of hard plastic so I took the plunge.

I probably wouldn't have splurged if it was just paper; it's got to have a certain 'quality' to it.  Funnily enough, it was from the same location I bought my last celestial themed stationery from.

Anyway, I plan to rip out the innards and put something new and fresh inside.  Hopefully it won't be too hard to find something similarly sized.

It came with a bunch of stickers I might keep, and a sealed notepad that just happened to be the first letter of my moniker.  I suppose it was worth it for those two items.

7 Piece comforter set:  $14.99 @ Liquidation World (RSP:  $59.99-$129.99)
Bandai Charmy Twins Anna doll:  $1.99 @ Value Village
Pink bamboo bed sheets:  $7.50 @ Liquidation World (RSP:  $39.88+)
Stainless steel water bottles:  $.75 @ Liquidation World (RSP:  $4.88-$7.99)
