Phi - leather belt sash:  $2 (RSP:  $615!)
Double seashell belt:  $1

Both @ MCC Thrift shop

That first belt is crazy!  I knew it was good quality, but I thought it would be around $100 max.  I've never heard of the brand, and even high end brands like Gucci and Burberry charge less for their belts!

Here's a stock picture of it:

Turns out it's from their 2009 Spring collection:

I just can't imagine ever paying that much for a belt, but I'm happy with the price I paid!

I found a lot of other high end things that time, which is rare.  I'll bet they came from the same person!

I found a silk Marc Jacobs dress (the one made in Italy!) for $10, and a costume national suit for $20 (retail is over $1000!).  They were way too small for me though, so I left both of them behind.

Liz Claiborne - Fitted embroidered red dress:  $4 @ MCC Thrift

I wasn't too sure about this.  It's gorgeous, but I didn't know if it would fit (and I didn't feel like trying it on).  It was half price, so I decided to try it on.

Well not only does it fit, it looks amazing!  It's so tapered in the waist it's incredibly flattering.  It's probably from the 80's or 90's based on the shoulder pads, but the exaggerated shape makes it feel vintage.

It looks like new, plus it had a lot of neat accents.  There are two pleats at the front and this pretty embroidery at the top.  It was half price too, otherwise I would have left it.

Red really isn't my colour, but I guess I could have one dress like this in my closet!

Frosted glass bird candle holders:  $1 each @ MCC Thrift Store

I do need candlestick holders, and I'm a sucker for birds.  I thought these were quite pretty and I've seen similar ones go for $10 each!

Long mirrored vanity tray:  $3 @ MCC Thrift

I'm on the hunt for certain picture frames.  I was hoping to find them today, but at least I found this!

It was a little more than I wanted to pay, but considering how long it was (around 15 inches), I thought it was worth it.  These hardly ever turn up!

Jessica - NWT Navy skirt with gold buckle and white piping:  $2.50 (RSP:  $40+)
Simply Vera by Vera Wang - Charmeuse colourblock top:  $2 (RSP:  $40+)

Da Vinci - NWT floor length chiffon dress in celedon - style 9092:  $5 (RSP:  $135+)

All @ MCC Thrift shop.

I actually bought these last Friday.  I originally came for the dress...I saw it two days before the sale, but thought I might as well wait for it to be half off.

I'm so glad it was still there!  It's so gorgeous on, I would have been sad if I missed out.  $10 would have been a steal anyway, considering it's new with tags.  I looked at their website, and I think this one was actually the best colour.

I'm actually surprised it retailed for so cheap.  The quality is really nice!  It looks way better than in the picture.

The other things were an afterthought.  I liked the style of the Jessica skirt, but since it's a mall brand I probably wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't new.

Found a stock picture of the top:

I liked  the colourblocking, thought that was pretty unique.

Christian Dior - Brown wool blazer:  $8 @ MCC Thrift shop

It was way more than I wanted to pay.  I actually left without buying it, only to come back hours later (after returning home!!).

There's a half off sale in ten days, so I thought I'd buy it then if it was still there.

Well...I was thinking about it the whole time, and I felt like I'd be upset if I missed out on it.  So, back I went...there was something else I wanted to get (but that ended up being a bust).

I probably would have risked it if the hemline wasn't so unique...it's pleated and it falls in a diamond shape.  None of my other ones look like that!

Pair of barbies:  $2 @ MCC Thrift shop

This was the one I wanted:

I love mod barbies! Of course I'm going to buy them when they're only $2 a pop!  This one's from the 70's.

She's not on her original body though, sadly.  Even worse, the neck is broken!  There's a very visible chip in the neck.  At least the match is pretty good.  I'm going to keep it until I find a better body for her.

The other doll I didn't want at all, but I thought that maybe I could use her body.  Turns out she has chew marks though, so that didn't pan out either!

I did steal her clothing and earrings though.  Her earrings are little apricots..they're so cute!

The clothing I would normally leave, but I think those kind of dresses look adorable on my Liccas!

I'm glad I came here.  Even though their main stock doesn't change that much, they do seem to have neat new knickknacks whenever I come in.

Turns out she's 'Free moving Barbie'!  Too bad she doesn't have her original body, which actually did something.

Moschino:  Shiny chrome gold hanger:  $.15 @ MCC Thrift Shop

This was sure funny (I love the inclusion of the exclamation mark)!  I knew that they sold hangers, but I never looked in that section.  Why would I buy them when I get them free from superstore?

This one caught my eye because it was a chrome gold...plus, someone moved it out of that section.

That might have been enough for me to pick it up, but it's the brand that sold me on it!  How often do you find designer hangers??

Funnily enough, it was even half off.  I think this is the cheapest thing I've ever gotten at a thrift store!

I was hoping that there'd be actual Moschino merchandise in the store, but that wasn't the case  But you won't believe what happened next!

A.B. Mills Pty. Ltd - Stuffed koala made out of genuine kangaroo fur:  $1
Avlon (?) - Realistic stuffed dog:  $.50
Black and white striped long leather clutch:  $3

All @ MCC Thrift Shop.

Today was a half off day.  I was here only two days before and didn't find much, so I almost didn't come back today.  I'm glad I did though!

The purse is what I originally wanted...I didn't have high hopes that it would still be there though, even though I tried to hide it under some uglier purses :P.

It's made in Canada and looks very recent.  I just wish I knew who made it!

Ditto on the dog plush.  It's the most realistic plush I've ever seen!  I actually saw it a few days back and found it interesting, but I don't really need or want any more stuffed animals.

I took this picture of it back then:

After seeing how good it looked, I kind of wished I bought it.  It was only $1!  I said to myself that I'd buy it if it was still there, but I really thought it would have been gone by then.  When I saw it was still there, I ran over and grabbed it!

I saw the koala plush a while later.  I don't know if it was there on the other day, if it was, I didn't notice it!

I ended up buying it because it was made out of kangaroo fur...I thought that was so neat!  I've always wanted a stuffed animal made out of real fur, and the price was sure right.  It even has its original tags!

Atmosphere - Lime green leather jacket:  $10
Seductions - Ruffled yellow long cotton blouse:  $2.50

Vintage burgundy / wine red cowboy boots:  $5

It took me a long time to decide on this jacket.  I really don't like the colour much, but I've never found one in that shade before!

I do want to have a rainbow of leather jackets, which is why I ended up buying it.  It is fitted and modern, otherwise I definitely wouldn't have bought it.

$10 was pretty high, even at half price.  But that shade...I doubt I'll ever find it again!

The top is from Sirens, but it's surprisingly nice.  Made entirely out of cotton!  I also liked the length and the colour...I don't have too many things in yellow.

The boots were an afterthought.  I forgot to check that section, so I doubled back after paying for the rest.

It had some gross dried grass on it, but I knew that would come off.  Now that it's off I see a lot of white specks, but I think it still looks good overall.

I fell in love with that colour!  It's such a gorgeous deep burgundy, I've never seen that shade of cowboy boots around.

Finding ones that fit me and are reasonably priced is even harder, so I didn't have to think too long for these.

Rainbow hair fake Takara Jenny doll:  $2 @ MCC Thrift Shop

I actually saw this on Wednesday and wanted to buy it, but stupidly, I had no cash!

They had a $5 minimum for credit card, and even though I looked for a very long time, I couldn't find anything else I wanted.

When I saw she was still here, it felt like a sign!  I had cash this time so she's finally mine.

She's pretty good quality for a knockoff.  Her face is exactly the same as Takara Jenny's!

Another shocker - they started charging tax!  That sucks.

1968 Barbie doll case:  $1.50 @ Penny pincher
Liv Twist n Dance Daniella:  $1 @ MCC Thrift Shop
Calvin Klein - Euphoria perfume:  free (or, $13.95!)

I actually got the case about a week ago, but I forgot to post it.

The case is in pretty beat up condition, but I've always wanted a vintage barbie case!  They don't go for much on ebay, but there's no way I could have gotten one for less than this...shipping alone is always at least $10.

I hope I can find some of the older, classier ones, but for now this'll do.

I'm over my Liv kick, but I told myself I'd pick up the ones with neat hair under $2....and this one fits the bill!

Not only does this one have neat here, she has great makeup, and great boots!  With no tax either, it was a no brainer!

The boots and tights are original, but I thought her outfit looked pretty bad anyway.

The perfume was a gift for subscribing to Elle.  I really don't think they would have sent it to me if I didn't ask about it...I waited two months, and still nothing!

After I complained, it magically appeared in the mail, alone, two weeks later.

So anyway, $13.95 was for one year, which is decent by itself.  I love reading fashion magazines, but newstand prices are a total ripoff.

But $1.16 per issue is totally worth it!  The perfume was the clincher...it's worth about $20 alone!  I just had to jump on the deal.

I've seen some other subscriptions that are around the same price, and I am tempted to buy them...but I'll hold out for ones that have additional promotions like this one.

Ruffled \ woven pleat high collar blouse:  $3
Algo - Lace heart shaped collar blazer:  $2.75

Both @ MCC Thrift Shop

Had to come for half off day!  The day wasn't too great overall, but thankfully I came away with these gems.

The blazer was such a steal!  It's gorgeous, I knew I had to have it the moment I laid eyes on it.  I just love the heart shaped collar.

I was undecided on the blouse.  I thought the high neck collar was so unique, but it is horrendous overall, as is.

Plus, the price!  Even more than my awesome blazer??

In the end, I bought it because I thought it had a lot of potential.  After I cut those ugly sleeves off, it's going to be gorgeous!

It buttons up at the back...which might actually be the front...but this looks way better!

Colette by Wolfgang Kaiser - Khaki ankle length wool coat:  $7.50 @ MCC Thrift shop

I was undecided on this one.  It's great quality, and I really love all of the paneled detailing.

Even though it's wool, it's not particularly warm.  It also kind of reminded me of this coat I already have, which is wayyy warmer and was way cheaper!

I ended up buying it anyway because of the length..and it really is such nice quality!

I'm planning on spiking the shoulders, which I wouldn't do for my other coat.  But this one seems primed for it!

There were some gross stains on the inside, and I considered haggling...but I decided not to since it was a real thrift store.  You know, the one here all proceeds actually go to charity.

Plus, it was already half off!  But it really would have been better priced at $5.

I would prefer if it were nipped in the waist, rather than having to use the belt.  I might bring it in a bit later on.

Esquire Collection - black leather chain purse:  $8 (RSP:  $500 - $3000) @ MCC Thrift Store

I saw this and liked it immediately, since it reminded me of those classic Chanel flap bags.

That alone wouldn't have made me buy it, but the leather was such amazing quality!  One of the best I've felt for a purse.

I considered waiting until it was half price (I would have been way more comfortable paying $4 since it did have some signs of wear), but I decided to get it anyway.

I looked online and saw it was made by a high end Korean company...but I have no idea how much it costs because I'm not sure whether the prices are in North Korean won or South Korean won!

Either way, I feel like I got a deal.  The leather is so gorgeous!

Bag of dolls:  $3 (RSP:  $10+)
Sylvanian Families / Calico critters:  Hedgehog set:  $1 (RSP:  $10+)

Both @ MCC Thrift Shop

I haven't been here in a while so I decided to stop in.  I'm glad I did!

They rarely have toys, but this time they had a nice selection of them.  Including this kind of creepy 70's guy with lots of facial hair:

Anyway, I bought the first bag because it had a vintage Dawn doll.  That was the main doll I wanted, but I thought I might as well keep the plastic sleepy eyed soldier as well.

For some reason, I never see Sylvanian families secondhand!  I always said that I'd buy them if I saw them...well, the day finally came!  It was the right price and everything.

They are so charming.  The adults not so much, but the babies, definitely.

Turns out they're still being sold here for around $25 new..but of course, that's with clothes on, and with another family member.

I really don't like their clothing...it's way too country bumpkin for me.  I don't mind having them nude, especially at this price!  I hope I find more.

Wilsons - Adventure bound - Leather frame clutch messenger bag:  $2 @ MCC Thrift Store (RSP:  At least $120, looking at their website)

This bag was such a steal!  It was half off, all of the purses were today.

Regular price still would have been great, but oddly, I don't think I would have picked it up.  I'm just too cheap for my own good.

It was in really great condition too, almost like new.  A similar one (construction, size) went for $37 in this condition!

I like the design.  It's simple, but it's not like anything else I have.

I bought it because I don't have any other bags that close with a frame clutch...I had this one but I gave it away because I didn't like the material.  No problems of that kind with this one!

I was interested in this one as well:

Gee, it actually looks great in the picture!  In person, I thought it as just way too big and clunky to wear like that.  Maybe if it were thinner.....but looking at that picture again, I might want it as is!  It was only $3!

Farouche by Lori Weidner - NWT Embroidered light olive green skirt set:  $5
Lewa - leather portfolio/briefcase:  $4
Red eelskin clutch:  $1

All @ MCC Thrift Store.

I'm glad I came in!  I haven't been here in a while, but the turnaround isn't that great.  Normally the items aren't super high quality either, so I was surprised by what I found.

The Weidner suit was here for around a month, but I didn't want to pay full price for it.  Even just seeing it on the rack, I wasn't that fond of it.

I tried it on a whim - it was gorgeous!  The fit is amazing, like it was made for me.  I decided the second it was on me, it's that beautiful!  The shoulder pads will have to come out though.

The briefcase is great quality and still looks excellent.  I don't know if I'll ever use it, but that's a risk I'm willing to take for the price I paid.

I'm not that crazy about the eelskin clutch, but come on....I couldn't pass up an eelskin clutch for $1!

(?)ton Allen of Houston - Ostrich skin cowboy boots:  $2.50 @ MCC Thrift Store

I came for the $1 sale at Kim's Village.  It wasn't open on time so I killed some time here.

I don't normally like cowboy boots, but I've wanted something in ostrich skin for the longest time!  They're interesting and the price is right, so I decided to buy them.  I got complimented in the store!

I almost didn't buy them because they weren't my preferred size...I can't put all of my insoles in there, but it seems comfortable enough with one layer.

I can't make out the full name, but similar boots go for $700 new!

Red chiffon dress:  $2.50

Janice Young for Vanessa - Lace butterfly floor length slip:  $2

Both @ MCC Thrift Store

The first one was a no-brainer!  The skirt has such a gorgeous flounce to it, and I love how fitted it is.  The button up detailing is a nice addition.  I might get rid of those sleeves though...and possibly shorten it.

I'm a sucker for butterflies so the other one had to come home with me.  I wonder if it would be appropriate to wear outside?
