Grey suede fringe purse:  $10.15

This purse was an absolute disappointment.

It did look like the picture, but the quality was sooo cheap-I definitely wouldn't have picked it up if I saw it in person.

In fact, I passed over a similar bag that was cheaper, and actually looked better!  In retrospect, I should have left this one and taken that one instead.

The listing didn't make it clear that it was only fake suede, and the purported retail price of $129 didn't do anything to dissuade that theory.  It actually only retails for $15, if the website shown on the tag is to be believed.

I'm probably going to be a lot more judicial when it comes to Ebay bags from now on!

Black vinyl purse:  $10.50

This purse was a lot flatter than I expected.  Granted, it does look like the picture, but I probably wouldn't have bought it if I saw it in person.  It didn't have as much of that "Kathy Van Zeeland" style as this picture led me to believe:

I was kind of disappointed, but I can make it work.  You really can't gather it as much as shown without there being excess ties at the back.

Purple flower change purse w/chain strap:  $.99
Black flower change purse w/chain strap:  $1.25
Dark pink flower change purse w/chain strap:  $1
Religious cameo pins:  $1.80
White gathered rose belt:  $1.26
Red gathered rose belt:  $1.02

All off Ebay.

I'm completely in love with the above change purses-the color I originally wanted ended up being sold out, so I had to substitute a light pink one for the black one.  They still come in two other colours that I know of, so I'm hoping to purchase those as well.

Those cameo pins were such a novelty, I just had to get them.  I love cameo and religious art, so how could I pass up this crucified Jesus surrounded by angels?  Sadly, the detailing leaves a lot to be desired.

More salvaged junk from the old house-I probably bought these things about 5-10 years ago.

Fabric ring w/rhinestones:  $1 (RSP:  $4.99)
Enamel cross anklet:  $1 (RSP:  $7.99)
Strawberry shortcake charm:  $1 (RSP:  $4.99)
Hello Kitty wallet:  $1 (RSP:  $15.99)
Purple Hello Kitty locket:  $1 (RSP:  $11.99)
Blue Hello Kitty locket:  $1 (RSP:  $11.99)
Rhinestone Hello Kitty necklace:  $1 (RSP:  $15.99)

All from Claire's during one of their 10 for $10 sales.  I'm pretty sure they didn't have any price restrictions back then.

Gel frog clip on:  $1.50 (RSP:  $4.99)
Gel frog wrist pad:  $1.50 (RSP:  $4.99)
Dog purse:  $3 (RSP:  $9.99)

From Ardene.  I rarely shop there, but I did that time since everything was 70% off.  I'm waiting for another one of their 10 for $10 sock sales.

Sequined US flag purse:  $9.90
Gold crown ring:  $.09
Hanging heart watch:  $1.12

The purse was kind of a disappointment-it would have been a lot cuter if it was smaller..something about the size just makes it unsightly.

Marianna - gold glitter platform lace up boots:  $25
Xeyes - 'pony' print platform boots:  $25

Ah, my very own blast from the past.

The first two were bought off Ebay exactly ten years ago; the third, from the mall 4-5 years ago.  I've been looking for all of them for three years-they were lost for a while after the move.

I can't remember how much I paid for the two first boots, but I do know it was around $25 with shipping.  My bid was probably somewhere around $10 or so for each of them.  I bought them from the now defunct seller thigh_high_boots.

The 'pony' print ones are crazy!  Quotations used since I've always thought 'cow' print would have been more precise.  I'm really surprised they're still being sold here!

They're my only 6 inch heels..since the platform in the front is also a few inches, they're not that much harder to walk in than my other shoes.  Still pretty uncomfortable, but not moreso than others.

Granted, the first two are pretty stripper chic, so they probably won't get regular use.  Still, I love having them again!  Brings back a lot of memories.

Speaking of memories, my recollection of the last pair was surprisingly off.  I thought I had gotten some no name shoes from a Chinese store, but it turns out that Shoe Warehouse was awesome even back then.

White enamel bow belt:  $1.04
Black pearl bracelet:  $.99
Pink cameo ring:  $1.39
White biwa pearl ring:  $1.16
Green pearl necklace:  $1.04
Black pearl necklace:  $1.12

All off Ebay-I'm such a sucker for that site.

7 colour LED rose light:  $.99
3D rose mirror:  $1.04
Sterling silver rose ring:  $.60
Gold/white flower ring:  $.87
Silver/white flower ring:  $.87

Funny how things were floral centric today.  All from Ebay, all including shipping.

Black/white polka dot top with belt:  $5 @ Sirens (RSP:  $20.50)

It's sidewalk sale time again!  I went to Surrey Central's on the first day, but they didn't really have much there.

I was interested in a few purses I saw at Ardene's, but decided against them since they seemed too cheaply made.

Black corseted belt:  $2.25
Black belt w/chunky plastic clasp:  $1.51
Square watch w/filigree heart detailing:  $1.04
Clear bear earrings:  $.11 per pair

Pink quilted purse:  $10.10 @ Ebay

This is of course a ripoff of Chanel's classic flap bag.  I'm sure I would be flamed to hell if anyone actually read this blog, but I actually prefer the knock off-I'm just not a fan of logos emblazoned across the front like that.

That logo wasn't even included on the original design anyway, so I don't feel too bad saying that :P.  Though I suppose that would make this a near total ripoff of the original as designed by Coco herself.

Well, she always said she would shed tears the day that no one copied her, so..

The quality of this bag was surprising.  I had some qualms paying four times the price for what might essentially be the same thing, but this bag trumps all of my other quilted purses.

The material is much thicker and fuller, plus the bag is sturdier over all.  I'm definitely planning on buying a few more in other colours.

Blue snakeskin purse:  $5 @ Icing by Claire's (RSP:  $29.50)
Studded black bag:  $5 @ Icing by Claire's (RSP:  $36.50)

I had been lusting after that blue purse for a while, and was absolutely thrilled to find it on sale today.

The only downside is that the snakeskin material is realllly cheap..the same kind of thin vinyl used in some reusable bags!  I really couldn't fathom their original asking price considering that.

I ended up buying it anyway, since I just love how it looks.  I would not have paid any more for that quality.

The second bag was a bit of an impulse.  I don't really like big bags, so I don't have many.

It looks horrible laid out like that, but I thought it looked kind of cute while worn.  It collapses in a bit, and I do like the chain strap detailing.  I plan on using it as a school bag if I ever decide to go back to school..
