Impressions - leather shoes (RP:  $4.99)
Selby - metallic leather shoes (RP:  $5.99)

Both for $5.99

Heart shaped candle w/gold holder:  $.99

Just trying to take advantage of a BOGO month before it ends.  I'm loathe to buy shoes anywhere else after the deals I've been getting here!

I love vintage heels.  They're just so comfortable and classy.

I'm a sucker for hearts and the candle is as big as my face, plus it was new in package.

Striped corset/skirt set:  $15.01 off eBay

I didn't want to pay this much, but I wasn't sure how long the seller would be listing.  They're normally $20+ so I took a chance on it.

Annoyingly, most of them were bought by this one jerk.  I knew their max was fifteen bucks so I finally decided to play their game after losing so many times.

Pink lace dress:  $7.95 off eBay

This was an impulse buy, but I wasn't disappointed - it looked just like the picture!  The design on the back is just gorgeous:

I just realized that this dress is pretty similar to the purple top I just bought.  This one's even prettier because of the gathered bust detailing.

Curel samples - those little bottle are so cute!  I was surprised about all of the wasteful packaging (two plastic bags and a pamphlet each) until I saw it was from Japan.

It seems odd to give this treatment to a common drugstore brand.

Wilsons - leather trench coat:  $12.50 (Similar styles retail for $500!)

Rose chiffon dress:  $3.50

Le Chateau - NWT black belted dress:  $9 (RSP:  $120+)

Even though I have a ton of black leather coats, I just had to get this one - it's stylish and it fits perfectly!  My research leads me to believe that it's from the 80's (just like me!).

I'm going to have to get rid of some of my other ones, they're just not as good as this one.  God, they were more expensive too!  I should have held out.

I saw potential in the chiffon dress so I picked it up.  It'll look great after I hem it up a little!  It's sewn with metallic gold thread and is just darling...but I wouldn't have paid more for it.

The last one took me so long to decide.  I would never buy a Le Chateau dress secondhand unless it was really cheap...they never are.

I loved the design and this one still had tags on, but I wasn't sure it was worth it.  I decided to get it anyway, and return it if it comes to that.

Well, that's not happening!  The dress is gorgeous and pretty unique.  Plus I look great in it.  It's staying!

New York Fur Co Ltd - Cropped rabbit fur coat:  $12.50 (Tag says they're patronized by royalty!)
Jeanne Lottie - ostrich feather clutch:  $2 (RSP:  $50+)

Both @ Value Village.

I was unsure about both of them, especially since the coat was a bit dirty in some places.

I decided to get it because it looked surprisingly modern...it looks like fake fur so I won't have to worry about zealots throwing paint on me!

The second one looks great from the front, but I don't like how it's just a flat fabric pouch.  I wish the other side was covered too, it just looks so cheap!  At least it was priced accordingly.

Jones New York - silk halter dress:  $5

B. Smart - Lace halter dress:  $4

Both @ Talize.

I don't know if I should have bought these dreses.  I loved the designs, but both of them have stains.  I hope they'll come out!

The first one was a no brainer because it was silk, $5 was a steal for it.

I thought I'd love it in the store, but when I tried it on at home I wasn't too fond of the bottom part.  It would have looked a lot better if they used the same shiny gold material as the top.

The last one is just standard mall quality, but it's so cute!  I'm a sucker for lace.

I picked it up because I knew that even if I couldn't get the stain out, I could hide it by reversing the strap...but that would take some effort.  I'll just see what happens after a wash.

Charlotte Russe - NWT Gold babydoll top:  $4 (RSP:  $21.99)
Victora's Secret - NWT lace cropped cami:  $3
Urban Behavior - lace babydoll tank:  $2.50
RW & Co - purple lace top:  $2.50

Naturalizer leather shoes:  $4 (RSP:  $100...at least the ones now)

All @ Talize.

It's finally half off day again!  It just happened to be the same as Value Village's...what a marketing ploy.

I ended up coming here first because I haven't been there in a while, and the things there seem to be better quality/priced.

Well, it wasn't as great as I expected, but I did end up with a lot of stuff I loved!  Way too many mall brands though..I'm going to have to curb myself with that from now on!

In any case, I was surprised to see the Victoria's secret slip.  It looked vintage so I was surprised to see they were the maker - it even had tags on!  I wonder how old it is.  It's so adorable, it even has lace covered buttons!

Never heard of Charlotte Russe until now, but I took a look at their website and was instantly reminded of Forever 21.  I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have picked up that top if it wasn't NWT.

I was hesitant on the last two tops since they were mall brands, but I'm glad I bought them.  Both are really flattering. especially the purple one - I was considering putting it back, but now I'm glad I didn't!

The shoes are classy and comfortable.  They're white with gold accents.  I kind of didn't want to pay $4 for them since I could have gotten them less at the Salvation Army...if they ever had my size for that brand...but I digress.

I'm glad I decided to try them on even though they were marked size 10...they fit me great!  That's vintage sizing for you I guess.

Toni - burnished gold clutch:  $2
XXI - ruffled top/dress:  $2

Both @ Salvation Army.

Hmm, I think I lowered my standards for this trip, but I went out of my way to get here and I suppose I didn't want to leave empty handed.

Don't get me wrong.  I absolutely love the designs of everything above, it's just that it's not of quality.  Not that it's falling apart, it's just standard mall quality.  But since it was cheap enough, I thought I'd let that slide.

This is the first thing I've ever gotten from Forever 21.  It's funny, I do like a lot of their styles, but their sales are never cheap enough for me.  When I see them secondhand at thrift stores they're priced stupidly high as well.

Sometimes F21 stuff is pretty cheap when they have BOGO's, but I never want enough to quality for free shipping...and it's just not a deal if you have to pay for shipping.

It reminded me of this dress I have, which I absolutely love, so I just had to pick it up.  Ironically, the new one was only $1 more than this one!

I just wish this one was longer.  It's kind of indecent as a dress, but I suppose it could be done.  SA had it marked as a blouse!

Did I mention how much I love BOGO months?  I'm hoping I'll find some more treasures before this month is over!

It's funny that clutch is made by the same maker as this one.  That's why I picked it up!  I liked the style a lot and it reminded me of that one.  I just wish it were made of leather.

Lace blouse:  $2 @ MCC Thrift shop

I've been eyeing this for a while but didn't want to pay full price.  It was finally half price today so I picked it up.

It's too big for me and not very flattering, but I see a lot of potential!  I just love the lace accents.

I'll probably cut off the sleeves.

One thing I hate about this shop (and shops like it) is that inventory barely changes...it's so boring walking into the same store every day.

Conversely, that's why I love Value Village!  Every two weeks it's a completely different store.

Can't wait for Monday!!

Both the Nutella heart shaped bread cutter (they claim it's a $4 value!) and the Glaxall glass fruit infuser bottle were facebook freebies.  I wouldn't have paid for them, but they're pretty neat!

I was impressed with the bottle in particular.  I really thought it would just be cheap plastic.

Petite by Michael Phillips - blue military blazer:  $5.99

Marciano - NWT pink mist blazer:  $17.99 (RSP:  $200)

Both @ Value Village.

I don't know why I came here.  I knew I would be aghast at their prices, especially after the steals I got at Sally ann!

Well, I do know why I came - because it was only a block away.  And I'm glad I did.

The blue blazer is AMAZING!  It's probably one of my favourite finds of all time.  The cutouts along the arms accented with gold buckles are so cool, as are the ribbon connections at the front.

As always though, those shoulder pads have got to go.

I was unsure about the last one, but I liked the style as well.  I knew it was by Guess, even though it didn't say that anywhere.  It is on the new ones.

Apparently, it's their 'runway inspired' collection.  The quality was wonderful, the fit was flattering, and I thought the design was unique - it's just that colour I didn't like!  Plus the price.

I ended up buying it anyway, thinking I might return it later one.  Still more than what I wanted to pay, but I suppose it's worth it for the style and quality.

It's also partly made with a fabric I've never heard of (modal!).

Of course, I would have never paid that price if it weren't new with tags.

Hunt club - low heeled leather shoes:  $2.50 (RP:  $4.99)
Longrange of London - Brown leather purse:  $2.99
Cashmere scarf:  $3
Lizardskin purse:  $2.50 (RP:  $3.99)

All @ Salvation Army.

I love BOGO months!  I just wish I knew I could use more than one coupon...$1.50 each for the scarf and purse would have been insane.

Oh well, at least I know for next time.  Though they do make you line up again.

I'm not sure if the green purse is lizardskin.  I thought it was snakeskin at first but it can't be, since it's not in strips and the width is wide.

I just love the design though!  It opens up in a really neat way:

Even without the coupon, things are priced pretty decently...but who can resist the allure of super-cheap!

My first 100% cashmere item-I'm so happy!  It's practical and a price I wanted to pay.  I found this by accident, and I'm glad I did.

Black gem belt:  $2.66 off eBay

The only colour I don't have now is brown...I might get that later.

Sunday, June 17, 2012

Lace bodysuits:  $2.50 each @ Urban Planet (RSP:  $10 each)

I must really be out of the loop.  I didn't know bodysuits were in style - well I guess they're not anymore since they're all on sale now, but this is the first time I've seen these at mainstream stores.

Saturday, June 16, 2012

Shirred shorts:  $7.50 (RSP:  $20)
Bodysuit w/ sheer accents:  $1.50 (RSP:  $8)

I haven't been to this location in so long!  It didn't disappoint.  I initially thought the bodysuit was $2.50 so that was a happy surprise.

I didn't want to pay that much for the shorts, but I loved the design so I splurged.  I haven't seen something like this anywhere else and I won't be coming back here for a while.  Still, I would have been more comfortable paying $5.

The above are gifts from a friend.

Kenneth Cole - brown leather bag:  $2.49
Steve Madden - brown leather kitten heels:  $2.49

Both @ Salvation Army.

What a steal!  This location is often overpriced so I was surprised to find these gems.

I just love it when it's a buy one get one month.

The bag looks barely used!  It holds a lot of things and the structure is really sturdy.

I also like the design.  It zips all around, how neat!

I'm not too crazy about the shoes but they're still in great condition and I don't have many low heels.  They match the bag!

Friday, June 15, 2012

Albert nipon - Silk skirt:  $3.50
J.Renee - studded suede pumps:  $5

Cosmo - Pearlescent plastic box purse:  $7
Fuschia snakeskin purse:  $4.20
Gold mesh purse:  $4.20

All from Value Village.

I'm glad I came in today!  Most of the above just hit the floors so I don't know how long they would have lasted.

I love the pearlescent purse, but it was such a ripoff.  $10!  Everything was 30% off with my spring savings pass, but $7 was still way too much for that purse, especially considering the condition.

It's rusty almost everywhere, leaving a gross brown stain, well, everywhere.  The lining is falling apart and is in gross condition too.

But I just loved it so much it had to come home with me.  I do have it in blue!  I didn't think I'd see it again so I had to snatch it up.

Shoe detailing:

These are awesome!  The heels aren't that high so it's not too bad to walk in.  Otherwise, I would have left them behind.

I just love all of the studs.

Fuschia isn't really my colour but it looked like new, I like the design, and I'm a sucker for snakeskin.

The gold purse shows some wear on the inside but it still looks great outside.  I love how it shines in the light.
 Lace dress:  $7.59
Blue lace bustier:  $5.18

Both off  eBay.

Surprisingly, the l.ace dress was exactly as shown!  Normally it ends up being a sad ripoff of the thing pictured, but gladly that wasn't the case this time.

It's gorgeous, but really made for tiny girls.  I'll definitely have to lose a few pounds before I wear it out, it's way too tight in the skirt area!

The bustier looks pretty, but the cups ended up being weirdly flat.  It looks horrible on.

Funnily enough, there was money included in the package!  I am now the proud owner of 1 chinese yuan note...at least it looks neat.  It's worth 16 cents if it's not fake!

White lace dress:  $5.01 off eBay

Finally!  I've been trying to win this dress for over a year.  It never ended at a price I liked until now.

The dress is gorgeous, but the way it's styled in the picture sure fueled my lust.

Now I just need one in black!

Wednesday, June 13, 2012

Purple gem belt:  $1.79
White gem belt:  $2.25

Both off eBay.

Also waiting on a black one.  The white one was the one I wanted the most, but the other ones were well priced so I bought them too.

Long pink crochet back dress:  $9.99 off eBay

I wasn't sure about this dress, since it could have just been a cheap copy of the one pictured.  It looked so pretty I decided to just chance it.

It's gorgeous, but the colour was a deeper pink in person.  It's not as nice, I would have preferred the pale pink depicted in the photo.

The seller had buy it now's for the same dress in red and black for even cheaper than I paid!  I considered it, but they ended up selling out before I made up my mind.

Gold box clutch:  $2
Black patent box purse:  $3

Both @ Penny Pincher

This store always has great stuff, even if it's kind of small.  I just wish it wasn't so annoying to find - I wasted 15 minutes driving around in circles!

I'm in love with the black one - it's shiny vinyl and it opens up in a neat way.

It took me a while to decide on the gold one, since it had noticeable wear and I already have a gold clutch (albeit a different shape and pattern).  I bought it anyway because it reminded me of a present.

R & M Richards by Karen Kwong - pink lace blouse:  $3

Ann Taylor loft petites- cropped blazer:  $2.99

Both @ Salvation Army.

I love it when it's a buy one get one free coupon month.  Too bad the max value is $5, and most of the items I wanted were priced at $5.99.

Even worse, the one near me closed down permanently, after just relocating in the vicinity for years.  Now the closet ones near me are pretty out of the way, so I don't usually bother to go, even though the pricing can be decent.

Anyway, the blouse is what I really wanted, but $6 just seemed like a ripoff.  All of the other things I wanted were $5.99, so I settled for the $5 Ann Taylor blazer.  The fit is really cute.

The blouse is huge and ghastly as is, but I'm planning on making it into a sleeveless dress.  The buttons are pretty and the lacework is gorgeous!
Innovage - hardcover stationary set:  $.99 @ Salvation Army (RSP:  $10+)

I don't normally buy stationary at thrift stores...or at all.  I see cute stuff all of the time and am mildly tempted, but this time was different.  Primarily because this wasn't some cheap thing made in China (though you wouldn't know it by the cuteness!)

I've never seen something like this before-I thought it was a novel idea!  It's this huge 8 x 12 " hardcover portfolio with a notepad, address book, and schedule inside.

It's also made in the UK and pretty great quality.

It even has glitter on it.  Adorable!

Thursday, June 7, 2012

Blue denim corset vest:  $9.50 (RSP:  $20+)
White brocade underbust corset:  $2.80

Both off eBay.

Pretty happy with both of these!  The first one looks great as outerwear and the second one was a great price.
Dean & White - cropped suede jacket:  $2.50
Vintage peacock clutch:  $2

Both @ MCC Thrift shop.

I love real thrift shops!  This one always has a certain colour tag half off, and their original prices are pretty reasonable most of the time.

When I saw this genuine suede jacket, I just had to have it!  It looked like it had never been used.  I definitely wouldn't have paid full price for it though.

Better look at the clutch:

Considering how much of a steal the jacket was, it took me a while to decide on this clutch.  It didn't seem worth it in comparison!

I bought it anyway because it was neat and unique, plus it's vintage...looks like it's from the 70's.
Joseph Ribkoff - long button up coat:  $14.99 (RSP:  $100+)

Tusk - tiger print calf hair leather purse:  $7.99
Jacques Vert- NWT Monique blue leather baguette clutch:  $6.99 (RSP:  $125)

All @ Value Village.

I try not to go when things are on sale, but since I had to go the post office, I decided I might as well hit up the thrift district.

I'm glad I did!  I hated paying full price on the purses, but at least the coat was half off.

It was still pretty expensive, but I just loved all of the buckles and buttons.  At least now I have a full 30% off card.

The purses are made out of such nice leather!  I loved the messenger style bag, but I wasn't sure about the clutch.

Even though it still had tags on, it had wear on the outside.  Geez, the clip they used left indents too!  Way to ruin your own merchandise.

I ended up buying it because the leather felt so nice...I might return it if the dents don't disappear though.
