Pearlescent cream leather half circle purse (RP:  $3.99)
Luvshoe's - Gold sandals with clear gradient colour heels: (RP:  $7.99) (RSP:  $75+)

Both for $7.98 @ Salvation Army.

Since I wanted to go to that other Value Village, I decided to come here too.  I did have a coupon afterall.

Well, it was love at first sight when I saw that purse!  I love everything about it...from the colour of the level, to the shape of the purse, to the lock closure!

It actually took me a long time to figure out how to open it.  I felt like I tried everything, and it just wouldn't budge!

Well, it turns out you have to turn it...I erroneously thought you'd have to push it in/up/to the side/or what have you.

Since I had the coupon, I wanted to see if there was anything else I wanted.  I really thought about getting these shoes:

They were cute, comfortable, and they  matched that purse!  They were also made by the same company that made these other shoes I was lusting after...

They were priced at $4.99.  If I came a few days ago, I could have gotten it half price...so I really didn't think it was worth it.  There were some scuffs, which would have been fine for two something...but not for that price.

I'm really kicking myself for not going earlier, since there were a lot of things I would have liked to get that would have been an awesome deal with the coupon.

Anyway, I ended up getting the gold sandals above.  They looked like they were worn maybe once or twice, and only on the soles...there were no signs of use anywhere else!

I almost put them back since they were hard to walk in...I felt like I might topple over at any time, they were so wobbly!

But since I thought the heels were so awesome, I decided to get them.  They're so neat!  They're clear lucite with a gradient colour throughout...it starts with a coke like colour and fades to clear.

Plus, there's even a hole in the middle!  They were just too cool to pass up.  $4 seemed worth it for them, no tax either!

Vintage brown textured shell lucite purse:  $5
Patent leather embossed crocodile texture purse:  $5
Ruched khaki blouse w/off shoulder cuffs:  $3

All @ Value Village.

Great haul from this one!  My heart skipped a beat when I saw that plastic purse...I love those!  I hardly see them.

There wasn't a tag on this one, but I found one on the floor where the purse was (...which was also on the floor).  It was pretty pricey, so I thought it was right.

Luckily they didn't give me any hassles about it, though they probably would have if the price were more reasonably priced.

The other purse wasn't that exciting, I passed it up when I saw it at full price.  I didn't realize it was real leather at that time though.  I don't have many patent leather bags so it was a no-brainer.

I also liked the style..it had two front flaps, which I hadn't seen before.

I actually wonder if it might be real crocodile skin now!  I was doing research (for another bag, ironically) and I noticed that this one has what looks to be pores all over.

Still, it needs a little extra oomph.  I'm planning on studding the front..that would make it an awesome addition to my wardrobe!

I loved the design of the khaki blouse, so I took it home even though it was pilled a little bit.  Sadly, it doesn't look great on me, but I'm hoping it'll look better after I lose some weight.

Joseph Ribkoff - long button up coat:  $14.99 (RSP:  $100+)

Tusk - tiger print calf hair leather purse:  $7.99
Jacques Vert- NWT Monique blue leather baguette clutch:  $6.99 (RSP:  $125)

All @ Value Village.

I try not to go when things are on sale, but since I had to go the post office, I decided I might as well hit up the thrift district.

I'm glad I did!  I hated paying full price on the purses, but at least the coat was half off.

It was still pretty expensive, but I just loved all of the buckles and buttons.  At least now I have a full 30% off card.

The purses are made out of such nice leather!  I loved the messenger style bag, but I wasn't sure about the clutch.

Even though it still had tags on, it had wear on the outside.  Geez, the clip they used left indents too!  Way to ruin your own merchandise.

I ended up buying it because the leather felt so nice...I might return it if the dents don't disappear though.

Savannah - long belted dress:  $7

 Gillian - silk dress:  $5.60

Both @ Value Village.

I love these dresses!  The shoulder pads definitely have to come out though.

I was thinking about leaving the second one behind because I don't like colours that bright...but I love the design so I'll probably just dye it.

I was also thinking about just using it as a nightrobe...that could still happen.

I love vintage clothing because the quality is, for the most part, way better.

Furs by Karoway  - fur coat:  $20 @ Value Village

They were having a half off sale today - of course I had to go!  One store said they would be opening at 7, so that's the one I went to first...turns out all of them opened at that time!

I spent almost two hours at this location!  I couldn't believe it.

This it the first time I ventured through most of the clothing racks...it was such a headache!  My arm got so sore and I just had to stop.  I just don't think it's worth the hassle considering I can get most of my wardrobe new, for cheaper.  I've never spent that long at one thrift store before.

I was undecided on this coat.  After deliberating for way too long, I decided to just get it anyway.

If it were cheaper it'd be no contest!  But I didn't feel like it was worth the $20 considering the other ones I bought were lower than that.

But this one isn't rabbit fur.  I have no idea what fur it is, but it's way better than rabbit fur...it might be mink.  That was the clincher.

I think I'll probably keep the coat.  At least it was made close to home.

Other than that, it was really well made!  The lining has a lovely pattern on it and it's lined with all of these pleats.  It also has a hidden pocket plus two others.

I looked online and found one from this company that was made in the 1960's, so this one might be that old as well.

Rabbit fur coat:  $10 @ Penny Pinchers

Can you believe this was their regular price?  I`m going to miss these little thrift stores.

Since my last u-pass expires tomorrow, I won`t be going to them anymore.  They`re just too out of the way.

Fur collar:  $3.50 @ Bibles for Missions
Christmas decorations:  free

I'm not sure what kind of fur this is, but I've been looking for something like this!  It was reasonably priced so I snatched it up.  I'm sure it would have been at least $10 anywhere else!

The Christmas stuff was free from a different thrift store.  I believe the yellow one has a paper mache face.  I picked it up because it reminded me of that old Rudolph claymation I love.

It was made by Mr. Christmas inc in 1971 - the company's still around!  Impressive.

The other one's a candle.  They had other ones but they were really ugly.

Toni - gold clutch w/brass hardware:  $4.20 @ Value Village

I went through so much trouble to get this purse.  I first saw it yesterday, but couldn't get it because someone had ripped the tags off.

I didn't know it would take a whole day to do!  I thought they could just price it right in front of me.

Anyway, at first I thought it was leather, but on the second visit I saw that it very clearly wasn't.

They wanted $5.99, which really didn't seem worth it considering its condition...it's not terrible, but it does show signs of use.

I took way too long to decide but ended up getting it anyway.  It's just so unique and classy!  Pretty sure it's from the 80's judging by the company's logo.

I love the embossed design on the front and the fancy brass hardware at the flap.

I just wish it was like new or leather!  I hope I won't regret using my last spring savings pass for this.

*edit*

Upon pure chance, I ended up seeing a designer with the exact same logo:  Loewe!

I think mine is probably just a fake using the logo, since there aren't any identifying marks.  It seems to be a high end brand and so far, it looks like they only use leather...which I'm sure this isn't.

Funnily enough, I like this purse better than any of theirs!

Pearlescent green snakeskin shoes:  $2 @ Orphan aid thrift store

These aren't my size but they were just too pretty to pass up.

A part of it was because I thought they were from the 50's or 60's - don't they look that way?

I was disappointed to find out they were probably from the 80's.  I looked up the company (Julia, the independent woman) and found out that's when they first registered.

They're in pretty crappy condition, which I was ok with due to their apparent age.  They do look great from far away, at least.

They're a full size too small for me but they're so beautiful!  I thought for $2, why not.  They can be museum shoes.

I've never seen come across genuine snakeskin shoes (not that I've been looking), and none I've seen anywhere have been as breathtaking as this pair.

Jacques Saint Laurent - rabbit fur coat:  $14.99 @ Talize

Finally!  My first fur coat. I've only see one fur coat at this price before but that coat was made out of a really coarse fur...plus, it was falling apart!

I normally see them for $30-$40, but I didn't want to pay that much.

Plus, it wasn't a colour I liked..I wanted an ivory one like this one, or a black one.

Anyway, this one isn't very fitted, but it was in such good condition I thought it was worth it.  I'll just resize it myself.

The quality is really wonderful, it's either silk or satin lined in a beautiful shade of pink.
