Chopin - fuchsia cat bag: $4.99 @ Talize (RSP: $30)
Hello Kitty face bag: $1.99 @ Talize (RSP: $18+)
Giant Clawdeen doll: $3.99 @ Value Village
The bag was unused, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought it. I thought it was just a cheap bag from China, but turns out it's made in Italy! The company also makes these cute dachshund bags.
Don't really buy Monster High dolls anymore, but I've always wanted the big ones. I'd still like to find the other mains..Frankie, Lagoona, and Draculaura. All complete and this price would be great!
I actually had the hello kitty case added to my amazon wish list. It's a toy, came with a bunch of plastic accessories:
Previous owner broke off the handle. Seemed like the right choice.

I couldn't believe it when I saw this! She was alone in there...usually they put a bunch of things in one bag.
Usually they would have put her in the case instead...for much higher. But I'm glad they didn't.
I'll admit I came out today to check that Salvation Army again just in case there were more Blythes...there weren't, but this was worth the trip!

"Dainty biscuit" Blythe doll: $14.99 @ Salvation Army
I was really surprised to see this today! I saw it from far away and assumed it was one of those cheap knockoffs. Imagine my surprise when she ended up being real!
They had her with the good stuff behind the cash register, so I wonder how they determined the price. I think it's kind of high for something from there, but of course way low considering how much she's worth.
I can't find any recent auctions but the new ones are all being sold for around $400+! Well, I haven't seen them sell at that price so I don't know what she goes for. I'm sure she'd be at least $100 in this condition.
But....my last one was complete with box and I only paid $7 for that one. Doesn't seem as good a deal in comparison :P.
She has a hair cut and someone cut off her pull ring too! The string is just about shoulder height. I really don't see who would give a kid a doll this expensive.
Well, she's mine now, and I'm glad. Now if I could only find a Kenner!

Blip - Hello kitty baker doll: $2.99 @ Salvation army
I haven't bought anything from here in a while. They usually don't have much of a selection and pricing is usually high.
I almost didn't buy this, but I couldn't resist. She's so sweet!
She was in gross condition, but she cleaned up great with a magic eraser.
She came out in 2013, but I don't remember seeing it here. It retailed for $25 US, so I'm guessing it would have been $30 - $40 here..
I would live to find this my melody one:
Prices are crazy on the secondary market, so I hope there's one for me at another thrift store!

Sailor chibimoon 6" adventure doll: $2.99
Cutie moon rod/moon rod: $2.99 for both
All @ Value Village
I've been getting all nostalgic for sailor moon toys lately, so I wanted to revisit my past finds. All of the above were found on August 14, 2008, it was such a great day!
I think it was my first great thrift find. The wands were in a bag together, the mini moon was in another. I had wanted her for so long..I think she's the cutest north american mini doll.
I was with my family and hadn't even planned on thrifting. I think my mom took a wrong turn and we ended up in that area, and I asked if we could make a stop. Thank goodness she did!
The moon stick is north american, but the cutie moon rod is actually the asian version! I do have an in box north american version from my childhood. I remember that it only retailed for $14.99!! What a difference.
I also had the pink sugar rod which was only $9.99! I remember getting two 12 inch adventure dolls for $14.99, but I sold the tuxedo mask a few years ago. I kept the wicked lady. I never remembered seeing the 6" dolls, but maybe I just forgot because I didn't find them interesting.
The rest are from a year or two before that:
Bandai Europe/Asia Sailor Venus and Uranus: $2.99 each, I believe from Value Village. I sold the Uranus a while ago...now I wish I kept her! Venus was shoeless, but I had the perfect shoes from another thrift find.
14" Korean Sailor moon: $3.99 @ Toy Traders. I sold this one too...and also kind of wish I hadn't!
Sailor moon world doll, Sailor moon and mercury pocket dolls: $1.99 each.
The first one was found at the Salvation army, the others were at Value Village (separate times!). Dream pocket moon was nude, but the clothing is from an ugly face adventure doll that I redonated after taking the outfit.
The same chibimoon from the first post...but I found the Sailor moon and mercury adventure dolls for $1.99 together. I thought I could make boots for my prettier mercury, but now I wish I didn't cut her legs off!
I haven't seen any dolls recently, besides the ugly face ones. I actually see those every once in a while, nude too, so there's no appeal there! I would only ever buy them if they had stuff to steal. They're too ugly to keep as is!
Around this time I also found an in box 12" pretty face Venus, but I think she was missing her gloves.. She was only $2.99 at value village! The box was really sun faded and ugly looking so I discarded it.
I also have a pretty face jupiter and mercury, I'm pretty sure I got them both at Value Village. I think they were nude for $1.99 each. Either that, or they were overpriced at $3.99 each.
I'm really hoping to find more pretty face dolls, especially a Mars so I can finish my light up doll set. I'd like to start thrifting more regularly, so I hope there's more sailor moon in my future!

Vintage flatsy type doll: $1.99 @ Value Village
I missed thrifting! I haven't done it in so long. I just missed my bus and didn't want to sit there for half an hour, so I decided to go...especially since I would have had to pay another fare in any case.
This is made by "Fun World Inc" probably in the 70's. It looks just like this Metti doll:
They look so cute folded up!
I hope I can go more regularly soon!

Too lazy to take a picture. The scooter is missing the lid at the back, and the Blythe was nude.

Bratz World closet: $1.99
Also found some more LPS Blythes! Can't believe I found two more at the same time. That's three in a row now! I would gladly welcome more.
I actually saw some more light up MLP's. I didn't know they made so many! I was a little tempted, but they were $6 each, so I passed. I think my max would be around $4.
Now I kind of feel like buying all of the light up ones. I wish I picked up some of those $4 ones I came across a while back!
The closet is from this set:
It looks so modern! I wish they kept it like the promo pictures though...that one was entirely mirrored! That would have been stunning:
They actually came out with a lot of nice furniture pieces. I would love this mirror:
I've got to keep an eye out for them!

Blythes and Strawberry shortcake car: $2.99 for all @ Value Village
Always exciting when I find a Blythe! Even moreso when I find two at a time! Even though I have triples of these now, I still want more! This is my first complete scooter girl.
I've passed up that car so many times. Most of them are missing those leaf rear view mirrors, so I didn't even realize they were supposed to be there! Mine is missing one.
The horn actually honks! It's more of a squeaky toy sound, but I thought that was a fun detail.

Licca doll
My Little Pony - Talking Princess Cadence
$1.99 each @ Value Village
Can't pass up a Licca, even though this one has terrible hair! Strange, because it is one of the modern ones. She would definitely be a candidate for a reroot, but I doubt I'll bother.
Surprised I found another cheap pony this soon! This one talks and lights up just like the last one, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. This is what she originally came with:
I can do without those bits.

My Little Pony - Princess Celestia: $1.99
Barbie pink glitter motor scooter: $2.99
Both @ Value Village
I'm really not that into my little pony, but I still love thinks that move and light up! For $2, I just couldn't resist. I'm surprised it was that low, especially with some other figures in the bag. Those are McDonalds and in bad condition, so I'm not keeping them.
Her wings move and light up, plus she talks. Mine has pretty bad hair, but I think it'll be fine after I clean her up.
The scooter was just too neat! Can't say no to clear glitter. I'll probably take off all of the lame decals though. I found pictures of it in box:
Too bad mine is missing the headlights.
I've seen it go for $15 used! Mine looks new, so I'm fine with the price I paid.

Blythes: $1.99 for both @ Value Village
Yay, another twofer! They came nude though. The blonde is the exact same one I just found...hiking trip. The other one is also a double, desert fun. I found the first one over two years ago!
I also got a Polly car, but I forgot to take a picture. It's purple and has some musical symbols on the side.

Bag of toys: $2.99 @ Value Village
What was in the bag:
Of course I wanted the Blythes! But the accessories were a nice bonus. A few of them are monster high.
Hiking trip blythe. I actually have her shoes from another doll I found, so she's nearly complete.
Swim and sun blythe. I don't have anything of hers, but I do have another nude one.

Tricoastal designs - Victorian style notebook and memo pad: $1.99 for both @ Value Village
I thought these were new, otherwise I wouldn't have bought them! When I opened them up, I was pretty disappointed to find that they had been written all over. By a kid no less! Strange, I think this design is a bit sophisticated to give to a 7 year old (judging by the writing!).
This is the first time I've ever not gotten a receipt from them, otherwise I would have tried to return it. I do really like the cover though.
I was shocked when I saw it was from 1995. There was still a Winners sticker on each of them, and that tag looked modern! I guess they haven't changed it much in two decades.
I also found a LPS Blythe, but I forgot to take a picture. It's the one with polka dot tights...now I have three of them!
This is actually the same location I found that sailor moon haul. I just couldn't resist! I thought they might have more stuff, and I'd be kicking myself if I missed out on it.

2 vintage novelty candles: $1.99 for both @ Value Village
I was shocked those candles were so reasonable! Normally I see them priced individually for $4+. These ones were bagged together for only $2!
They're both completely wrapped, and I thought they were neat looking. They're also pretty huge! That dog's at least 10 inches long.
I don't know if I'll burn them. I should, but it would feel like a waste! They're pretty nice for candles. They put a lot of details into them. The girl is holding a doll that has x for eyes, for some reason.
Pretty sure both of them are vintage, but I don't know how old they are exactly. The girl one is made by "regal".
I also saw a LPS blythe there, so of course I had to get her too! She had really terrible hair, but no Blythe gets left behind!
She's this one, "Tokyo dressed for tea":
Really surprised they don't have any bigger versions of this promo picture! This was the best one I could find.
Anyway, mine is so messed up, she doesn't even look like she has bangs anymore! I don't think I can get it to look like the original style, so I just have it down for now.

Monster High - Ghoulia scooter: $3.99 (RSP: $19.99)
Famosa - I love Minnie picnic car: $3.99 (RSP: $29.99+ for the entire set)
Both @ Value Village.
A bit more than I wanted to pay for the scooter, but they were both in great condition. Plus, I had wanted both of them, and I haven't found either before!
I had some great news today, so these were just icing on the case. I'm so glad I found them!
They are missing a few things though. The scooter is just missing the kickstand, and of course the accessories.
The car's even worse! It's missing the rear mirrors, and even worse, both seats! But those dolls are so small, none of my other dolls could fit with the seats in anyway. Still, I would have preferred to have them.
I'll keep a lookout for a complete one in the future! For now, this one's fine, especially compared to retail. You can't even notice the seats aren't there when the dolls are in there anyway.

Ever after high - Apple White fainting couch: $3.99 (RSP: $29.99)
Steffi Love - Princess table set: $2.99
Both @ Talize
I don't really need any more furniture, but I couldn't resist. The details on the fainting couch are gorgeous! I just had to have it, but not at full price. Those little carved dwarves make it! Mine didn't come with any of the accessories, but I'm ok without them.
The other one wasn't as great in comparison, but it had so many cute details. For $3, why not.
