The one I got from value village for around $2 has gone wonky, so I wanted a replacement.  If I knew how cheap I could get one new, I wouldn't have bought a used one!

Even though this is my cheapest one, I think it's more charming than the other ones.  It has light up eyes...which is strange, but I like it.  It also barks and walks non stop, and in a much faster manner than all of the other ones.

So it's the least realistic one, but it sure gets my attention!

I thought these looked so cool!  I didn't know if I could pull them off, but I wanted to try.

I first saw them on eBay for around $13...I definitely didn't want to pay that much.  Luckily aliexpress had me covered!

They're one size fits all, so I was a bit worried about them being too small.  Surprisingly, they do fit me, and they're comfortable!!  I didn't expect that.  They really stretch! 

These were such a great buy!  I still don't know how to wear them, but we'll see how it goes.  They look like such a pretty skirt when you put your legs together.

Both from the same seller, who has promptly raised their prices!  A lot of the time sellers don't bother sending clothes this cheap...they mainly just use these sales to give their store visibility.   Then they just send the full price items that are purchased.

But since Aliexpress has decent buyer protection, there's really no risk if you keep on track of things.  Except sometimes you lose a bit when the exchange rate changes..

Anyhow, this one worked out, so I'm happy about it.  It did take two months, but it was worth it for the price!

The only problem is, the bird dress was so small in the waist!   I couldn't even put it on, even though the bust and waist were big enough.  That's never happened before!  I had to take out some of the gathers, but after that I was able to put it on.

It fits me as a sheath dress though.  An inch or two smaller and it would have been a bodycon!  I prefer that though, so I didn't bother complaining.  I wouldn't have for something this cheap anyway.

I'm going nuts over those crystal compilation necklaces!  I've always thought they were pretty, but when I saw them in person, I was hooked.  I wanted one in every colour!

They were $15-$40 locally from Sirens and Winners respectively.  I knew I could do much better online (I just wish I didn't pay as much for the first ones I bought).

The very top one is the best quality of them all!  I think it looks pretty exact to the original.  I couldn't tell from the pictures, but that one's actually bigger than my other dupes.

I was pretty smitten with the bracelets too, but I never saw them on auction.  The lowest buy it now on ebay is around $12, so I was happy to find them on aliexpress for around $5.

I saw that they were on sale for around $3.50 before, which would have been a steal!  But I didn't know if they would ever go that low again, plus I wanted them now.  Oh well!

I was really surprised this came!  The seller had no feedback, and the prices were way lower than anywhere else.  They even had a $2 coupon, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought the pink one.

At first, I didn't even want to waste my time...most no feedback sellers don't end up sending you anything.  On a whim, I messaged them to see if they were real...and they replied right away!  All of the photos had their name on it too, so I thought they put in a little too much effort if they were just out to scam.

I've been trying to win those metal flower necklaces for a long time, but they always went out of my price range.  They normally ended around $6+, but I didn't think they were worth that much.

These work out to $3.66 each, which is what I always bid!  I'm glad I took a chance, since they're pretty nice in person.  Plus, I kind of doubt I would have gotten them for so low on ebay!

Also, these listings had so many pretty professional pictures, it made me want them more than normal.  I wonder what company originally made these?

They're a lot more versatile than I thought!

What a steal!  These are normally twice the price.  Even though I haven't bought any in a while, I couldn't pass these up.  I was interested in them before, but I was waiting for a sale....well, I don't think they'll ever go lower than this!

I was actually considering buying a white one when it was $16.  Of course, now I'm glad I didn't.

The seller has one more blue one in stock, so I want to buy it to customize.  At that price, why not!  Besides, I don't have that many of this handle, and no other ones in this size.

I wish I waited longer to get this.  I've seen them go for around $7 since, and they might go even lower eventually.  I already waited quite a bit, and this was already the lowest I've seen it in a while...I just couldn't resist.

After seeing how different the Jake dress was, I wasn't sure how this one would go.  Surprisingly, this one is pretty similar to the original!

The design is the same, and the print looks to be the same scale...the only problem is, the colouring is off!  For a lot of the characters you can't tell at least, and from far away, it does look just like the original.

But if you look closer...you'll see that Lumpy space princess is pink instead of purple!  Finn's shirt is also a weird light aqua blue, and his face is a strange shade too.  BMO is a bit off too...he's a little more aqua than normal as well.  Princess bubblegum's pink is also off, but I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't comparing it to the original.

They have a skater version of this dress.  I might buy it if it goes on sale!

This is a knockoff of the blackmilk dress.  They sure have a lot of neat stuff!  Unlike the swimsuits though, this one has a very noticeable difference -- the print is huge!  About 4 times bigger.

It still looks ok.  The design is still the same and all, so I'm happy enough with it.  The original was around $100!  I don't know why that seems to be their average price point.

I bought their bodycon dress from another seller, so let's see how that one goes.

Since the Batman one worked out so well, I decided to get these ones too.  It wasn't from the same seller, but it was the same great price!

These are knockoffs of the blackmilk version as well.  That one retails for around $100, but it does include a cape.  I'm happy enough with what I got, especially for the price!

I actually thought this one came with a cape too (that's what the title suggested!), but for the price I paid, I'm ok with it.

It honestly doesn't look that great on the rack...the colours are a bit faded.  But once you put it on, it looks amazing!  Just as good as the original.

Except this one doesn't have the blackmilk logo on the back.  It actually looks better that way!  I've already ordered the superman and wonder woman ones for the same price.  They're all about $10+ on eBay, so they're almost half price at aliexpress!

I've wanted that bride for a while!  She looked gorgeous in so many pictures I've seen of her.  She didn't disappoint...except her hair was a horrible rat's nest!  It took about an hour to comb it out, but it looks wonderful now.  That was a total surprise...the hair looked completely ruined when I started!

The other one was a bit disappointing.  She's supposed to be Hatsune Miku, but the hair is all wrong!  I thought it would look ok out of the ponytails, but it just looks dumb because her hair is permanently indented like that.

At least her outfit is pretty great.  Still, now I wish I didn't buy her!  Maybe I'll reroot her with longer hair or something.

The bride smells gross like the last one, but thankfully the smell came out after a wash.  I wonder what's with these dolls?

I love this girl!  She's even better than the other one.  Her hair colour is so pretty...it's like a mango, but more of a pale orange.  

Surprisingly, her hair is great quality!  Even better than my official Blythes.  

It does make the other one look worse in comparison though...her hair was nylon and looks so gross and greasy, even after a wash.  It doesn't fall in a very nice way, so I might just sell her.  I really just don't like her much after seeing this one!

The seller raised the price soon after I bought her, so I'm glad I got her when I did.  I just kind of wish I got one of the other promotional ones, since that one went up in price too!

I've wanted this girl for a long time.  She's just so gorgeous!  I've seen more flattering pictures of her than any other icy doll.

Even better, she has a great outfit too!  I didn't notice until I saw it on the bride doll:

It took almost a month to get her, but she finally arrived.  The back of the box is totally unexciting:

 

I also hate that the dolls I buy from this seller always look so disheveled.  Only 1 out of 3 have been properly attached to their box!



The doll is as beautiful as I thought, but this one was worse than all others for another reason -- she stunk!  Like mold!  It's horrible.  I've read that in some reviews from other sellers, but I didn't expect it from this one since my other ones are fine.

For now I have everything soaking in vinegar, so hopefully that does the trick.  The outfit is wonderful so I really don't want to have to chuck it.

The smell was so bad, I've already chucked the box...even though I normally keep them.  I have 3 more Icy dolls in the mail, so I really hope none of them will smell like this.

Burgundy hair factory Blythe:  $35.38 off Aliexpress

I was holding off because I wasn't sure of the ethics of buying her, but she was so cheap, I couldn't resist!  

She was on sale, plus I had a coupon.  Her regular price is $47.50, which is still pretty decent.  Most factory Blythes on eBay are $80+!

I'm glad I bought her -- she's beautiful in person!  She's completely distinct from my other two as well, so that's a bonus.  

Her face is a mold that I don't already have, as is her skintone.  She's pale, while all of my other ones are a pretty dark natural tone.

She even has earring holes, which was surprising.  Because of that (and the quality), I'm sure she actually is made out of leftover factory parts, opposed to just being a fake made from the same mold.

I have another one coming.  I'll probably buy more once they're on sale again!

The seller is excellent.  It only took 10 days for her to arrive, and that's including the date of purchase!  Most sellers are so slow, this is a nice change.

That works out to about $27.50 each, which is way cheaper than anywhere else! 

They're around $40 BIN on eBay, sometimes there are some for $35 on auction...but the types are limited and there's no guarantee it'll stay that low.  They were around $50 when they first came out, so I wonder why the price is so low now.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about these (especially after I saw that Jecci five doll in person), but it was love at first sight!  I even like them more than blythe.  Their faces are so cute, I can't find any flaws with the sculpt (which I can't say about blythe!).

People say they're the same quality as blythe, which again, is nuts!  I'd say they were about half the quality.  Around the same quality as Jecci five, except the hair is slightly less nice (though still way better than blythe).

The body is even worse than jecci's!  It even made my hands tingle, and I'm not normally sensitive to chemicals.  Yikes!

The head seems better quality than jecci's, just a little.  There aren't any places where the plastic is too thin, but it's still not as good as blythe's.  Somehow, the eyemech/eyes seem a little bit worse than Jecci's, though not bad.

What I really like is, some of the dolls have special designs in their eyes.  The redhead had moons!  I should have taken a picture.

Well, I also should have taken a picture of them inside their box, but I was so excited I skipped that step!

I bought another one from the same seller, and I'd really like to buy more.  I'm just kicking myself though, since I saw some other people got them for $20 just a few months back!!

Not from this seller, but another.  Which is strange, because I never saw the sale!  I did look every once in a while, and I even had that seller in my list.  The sale lasted pretty long too!  It probably ended two weeks before I bought these ones, which sucks.

I was thinking that I wouldn't buy anymore until the seller's next sale, but now they've taken them all down...so I guess I missed my chance.

The only bad thing about the seller I did buy from is, they take so long to ship!  About three weeks.  

There's a sale coming up soon, so I'll try some other sellers!  They'll cost me about $27 each, but with the low canadian dollar, it's going to convert to a lot more.  It almost seems better to just buy them off ebay, at least then I can pay with the US dollars I already have in my account!

Jecci five - "City Girl" doll:  $36.80 @ Aliexpress (RSP:  ~$75)

I've known about these for a while, but I never really felt like buying them until now.  Finding that blythe at value village resurrected my love for the big heads, I guess!

 

Sadly, she looks better in photographs than she does in person!  Her face is just kind of weird...there are a lot of odd inclines to her face.  I really dislike her philtrum -- it sticks out so awkwardly, though I can see they did it for her profile.  She just looks so bad from the front though!

Her eyes also face downward, a lot.  It's a little weird, but not as bad as the philtrum thing.  Overall, she's just not as pretty or charming as blythe.

I heard people say that these dolls were blythe quality, which is another reason I bought it.  Well, that just isn't the case!  I'd say they were half the quality of blythe, maybe even less.  They used to be around $75 including shipping when they were introduced.

The bodies are completely crappy...shiny, cheap, plastic, nowhere near the quality of blythe's.  Maybe 1/4 of it on that front.

The heads are better, but still not as good as blythe.  The plastic feels cheaper, and it's definitely thinner in areas.  

The eye chip and eye mech do seem as good as blythe's.  The hair on the other hand is WAY better than blythe's!  I always disliked that about them...they all had terrible feeling hair.  I like my dolls to have silky hair, especially when they cost that much!

I really wish I got this one instead, but I chose the one I got because I saw way more flattering photos of her.

A sale is coming up soon, so I almost feel like buying her anyway...she'd be cheaper than this one!  I really like her hair and outfit, but the face is just a no go. 

I do like her cat eye makeup though.  That was another reason I bought the one I did!  Only a handful have that kind of eyeliner, the rest are plain.

I thought I got a great deal, until I saw somebody else get one for only $14!!  That's a crazy price.  I never thought it would go so low.  That was from the same seller too!  I wish I saw that sale, it was only a month before I ordered it.

Well, I didn't think this would come in the first place.  I bought another item from the seller a month before, and it never arrived.  I'm sure it was never sent...I waited two months, and the tracking number never worked in that time!

I was expecting this to be the same, so imagine my surprise when this came today.  I just wish they sent the other one too!

I just wish this seller had more colours in stock.  The only one I don't have is black...but since it seems so similar to the dark grey one I have, it seems pointless.

This seller has a bunch of neat colours that I'd love to have (white, blue, light grey), but I just can't see myself paying over twice the price for the same item!
