Glitter ghost sign
Turkey salt and pepper shakers
Glitter Halloween sign

$1.25 each @ Dollar Tree

Didn't see these ones anywhere else.  I wonder if there are any more I haven't seen.

Glitter cat sign:  $2
Foil ghost:  $3

Both @ Dollarama

Don't usually get Halloween decorations, but these ones were too adorable to pass up.  Especially that cat!  It was the only one there.

Mercury glass pumpkin:  $4
C3P0 wind up:  $4 (RSP:  $24.99)
Cool gear witch cup:  $1.50 (RSP:  $4.99)

All @ Dollarama

I just wanted that mercury glass pumpkin.  It looked really beautiful and classy.  The rest were impulse buys.

Autumn candles
Elephant ring holder
Pumpkin lights
Halloween pot holer

$1.25 each @ Dollar tree

Just felt like picking up cute seasonal items.

Glass cutting board
Glass jack o lantern candle holder
Jack o lantern lantern
Libbey star shaped bowl
Libbey heart shaped bowl

All $1.25 each @ Dollar tree

Except for the lantern which ended up being $.50!   I almost didn't buy it because it only had ONE LED bulb..I thought it'd be super dim and useless.  But it was just so cute I couldn't resist!  I'm glad it ended up being super cheap because it's worth it for that price.

Everything else was a planned purchase.  I saw that those bowls are $4.16US each on their official site!  That works out to around $5.25 Canadian each, which is a pretty good deal in comparison.  They're really thick and heavy.

I asked if they were food safe so we'll see.  They're virgin glass so I think they should be...researching online it seems that most glass is food safe.  Clear glass that hasn't been used for anything else should be anyway!

I really came for the candle holder, since I'm on such a big kick right now.  I could only find one that wasn't super sloppy.  I saw the exact same one at daiso later on!

I also wanted a smaller glass chopping board.  They had one without a picture, but it seemed boring in comparison.  They also had one with a picture of a cup of coffee, but I didn't like it that much.  I didn't see any of the rectangular ones, but I prefer the circular ones anyway.

Halloween socks:  $.50 each @ Wal mart (RSP:  $2 each)

I'm just a sucker for Halloween socks.  I wasn't going to pay full price for them, but these are an ok price.  Just ok because they're slightly less than the dollar's store's REGULAR price...and I'm sure they're about the same quality.

But they don't have prints these fun year round, so I'm happy they're mine.

Lace spiderweb necklace: $1.31 (BIN:  $4.95)
Tulle floral scarf:  $.56 (Highest:  $3.25)
Royal blue "J.Crew" bubble bib necklace:  $1.25 (BIN:  $6+)

All off eBay

I'd probably only wear the first one around Halloween, but it just seemed so neat.

The scarf is nice enough, but I really only bought it because I got it for a good price.

The last necklace was a lot smaller than I expected.  It isn't as nice as the bigger ones, but at least the price was decent.

Bag of 3 Littlest pet shop blythes:  $2.99
Jumbo hypo needle prop:  $1 (RSP:  $3.99 - $20)

Both @ Value Village.

I was hoping they still had some Halloween stuff left, and I wasn't super disappointed.  When I arrived most of it was cleared away, but I was happy I managed to find this.

Even their regular price of $4 seemed reasonable!  I looked online when I got home and saw that the average price was around $12 including shipping...some people have paid around $20!

Which would have been a total ripoff.  The plastic is pretty flimsy, $1 is probably what it's worth.  Still, I wouldn't have been too distraught paying full price if I needed it.

I noticed that the top could be removed, so I bought it to use in lieu of a purse.  I thought that was such a great idea, and for $1, why not?

I wasn't as sure about the Blythes.  I already have a ton of petite blythes (the Japanese version) that I never really look at anymore, and I'm trying not to needlessly add a lot of junk around.

But I'm glad I decided against that.  They're adorable!  They came nude, but I had a bunch of clothing from my more zealous days.  I'm so glad I didn't leave them behind, $1 each is a great price for them.

Now I wish I bought some when they were in stores.  They discontinued them last year, and I haven't even seen them at Liquidation World or other clearance stores.

Well, I saw one at Winners for $7, and now I wish I bought that one.  I was waiting to see if it would go down, but it never did.

If I see it again I'll pick her up!

Lace up shiny pvc gloves (black and red):  $5.86 each @ Walmart

Full price....I rarely ever pay that!  But I've been looking for gloves like this for a long time, and I thought the price was decent.  They go for $12+ online!  I've even seen this exact brand sold for over $20 in places.

Found larger stock images online, which sold me on going back to walmart and picking them up:

Sadly, they're a lot cheaper in person!  Some of the fingers are weird lengths, and they're sloppy at the tips.

They're still ok, just not as nice as they look in the picture.  I really would have preferred to get them for half price...if they are around on half price day, I'll totally be kicking myself!

Pink satin pearl gloves:  $2 (RSP:  $7.99)
White satin pearl gloves:  $2 (RSP:  $7.99)
Dark green feather / white lace covered gem belt:  $2.50 (RSP:  $9.99)
Simple pleasures - spooky sugar frosting scented soap in ghost shaped bottle:  $1 (RSP:  $3.99 - $8 (at Kohl's!)

Lot of Polly Pocket pieces (~240):  $2.99
My Scene doll:  $1.99

All @ Value Village.

I really wasn't expecting much from the 75% off sale (especially since I didn't go early), but to my surprise, almost everything from before Halloween was still there!

I didn't buy any costumes because they're always such crappy quality.  I'd feel dumpy wearing them.  The above I'd actually wear in real life...they're gorgeous!  Especially that belt.

They all look like normal quality, which is probably why they were priced so high.  I actually found a picture of it on their website:

I also thought about buying this paper/wood geisha umbrella - it was only $2.50!

I thought it was actually really nice quality for a costume piece, but the illustration could have been better.  In the end, I didn't think I would use it.  Ditto with those pearl gloves in blue (they were so gorgeous).  Go me!  Getting marginally better with money.

I don't collect Polly Pockets, but the bag had at least ten pair of shoes that fit minis (no other company makes them, that I know of).  I saw that those accessory sets retail for around $30, so I feel like I got a steal!  The one I saw only had 4 shoes too.

Those things are so tiny, kudos to the kid who managed to keep them all together!

As for the My Scene doll...I just wanted the boots.  They're pearlescent and so pretty!

I grappled with paying $2 when that was the only thing I wanted, but in the end, I decided to get them.  Turns out someone else was willing to pay $6 for the boots alone, so I feel way better about it!

Secret wishes - Wire print tights:  $1.23 (RSP:  $4.92)
Metallic gold hockey mask:  $1.23 (RSP:  $4.92 - $8.29 (!))

Both @ Wal mart.

75% off Halloween stuff!  Last year, it was only 50% off for the longest time.  By the time it was that high off, there was barely anything left, so I'm glad they started earlier this year.

Not extraordinary deals, but I thought they were pretty neat.  I'd definitely use the tights...for Halloween...and maybe in my every day life!  There were some more that I was considering, but I didn't think they were as versatile as these ones.

The mask...I don't think I'll ever wear it, but I love shiny chrome things.  I thought I might use it as a decoration of sorts.

A better picture of it:

Also shown is the glow stick gun I left behind.  It would have been $.50.  I thought the concept was neat, but that it wasn't worth it in the end.

Black hat
Hype - heart shaped jewel earbuds (RSP:  $19.99)

$2 each @ Dollarama

I needed a Zoro hat for tonight, and this was the closest I could find.  If I can make the brim wider, it might be ok...if it looks horrible I'll leave it home.

The earbuds were an impulse buy.  I love hearts, and I thought theses were really cute.  They seemed like better quality than usual, and I could tell they weren't manufactured by Dollarama, so I thought they were probably worth it.

Halloween candy toys:  3 for $1 @ Dollarama (RSP:  $1-$1.25 each)

Apparently, the candy tastes horrible.  I probably shouldn't have bought these, but I've been eyeing these cycling monsters for a month!

I'm just such a sucker for articulated toys.   When you wind these up, their legs actual cycle!  I wish I just bought one, but I thought I had to buy 3 to get the sale price.

The pins are from a CBC tour I took today and the infusium is a sample from the mail.

Striped gloves w/lacey spider accents:  $1 @ Claire's (RSP:  $9.75)
4 lens action camera:  $6.49 @ Claire's (RSP:  $25)
Lacey skull clips:  $1 @ Claire's (RSP:  $5.75)

I found the camera the day before.  I had actually seen it months before as well, but never bothered to pick it up.  They took it off the shelves shortly after so I assumed they had all been sold.

I thought it was a neat idea when I first saw it, but it seemed too expensive for such a cheaply made camera.  It's completely made out of plastic and feels like a toy!

I didn't think it was worth the money, but I thought it was a really cool idea so I checked online to see if it could be found any cheaper.

Turns out the cheapest ones are about $10 shipped (though some guy claimed he got one for a buck somehow), so I decided to bite the bullet and get it the next day.

It feels even cheaper out of the package, but I really like the results I've seen on flickr so far.  I'm pretty sure this will be money well spent!

I just have to find some worthwhile action to capture...most examples I've seen were of things that were almost stationary, resulting in 4 basically identical frames.  I just find that so boring...what's the point in capturing something so redundant?

Turns out the camera is named Disderi (or Diseri), and comes in a multitude of lens numbers.  Sample pictures and different colours here.

This is the official site, while this offers some information about the cameras.

As for the Halloween things, they ended up being $1 each, so there was no point in taking advantage of the 10 for $10 sale.

I thought the gloves were pretty awesome the first time I saw them-I was actually considering a similar ring I saw the day before, but ended up deciding it wasn't worth it.

This one was definitely worth it-it was a pair of gloves!  Initially I thought it was just the one.

I don't wear hair barrettes, but I thought the above were really cute..in the end, I bought them for my dolls.  My Rovam in particular :3.

Large glass vase:  $.94 @ Superstore (RSP:  $9.99)
Halloween flashlight:  $.24 @ Superstore (RSP:  $1)
Halloween flashlight:  $.24 @ Superstore (RSP:  $1)
Glow in the dark glitter gel:  free @ Superstore (RSP:  $3+)

Small reed diffusers (sweet vanilla, crisp apple):   $.94 each @ Superstore (RSP:  $4.99)
Larger pumpkin vanilla scented diffuser:  $.94 @ Superstore (RSP:  $12.99)

Pretty amazing!  Superstore had all of their Halloween/Fall items priced $.94 or less.

I've always wanted to try out those reed diffusers, but didn't want to pay full price.  I couldn't snatch these ones up fast enough!  The pumpkin ones were gone a few minutes after I saw them.

The glow in the dark glitter gel ended up being free because it scanned in at the wrong price.  At first the cashier just put in a code that was the right price, but I knew I should have gotten it for free due to SCOP.

It was basically free in either case ($.24), but it's just a matter of principle.

Nylon butterfly wings:  $1.75 @ Value Village (RSP:  $6.99)
Light up shoe laces:  $1 each @ Value Village (RSP:  $3.99)
Knee high socks:  $1 each @ Value Village (RSP:  $3.99)
Socks:  $.38 each @ Value Village (RSP:  $1.49)

I was pretty surprised when I saw the selection today.  Normally, there's barely anything left the day after Halloween, and that's when things are only 50% off!

I never bother to check anymore due to past experiences.  Since I was in the area, I decided to stroll on in..things were 75% off, and there was a pretty decent selection still left!

I grappled with the idea of buying some wigs, but ended up passing on them since they weren't great quality.  Same reason why I'll probably never buy premade costumes...they look so cheap.

I didn't think I would come back with wings either, but I hardly see ones like the above.  Most of the ones are really cheap and glittery, whereas this one is more realistic looking and very striking.

Still about the same quality as the other ones, but I just wanted to have it.  I don't think they're that easy to come by.

They were actually packing away stuff when I was looking around, so I wonder if any of the other ones still have Halloween stock.

I could use more socks!  I haven't gotten any in a long time, and those are things you always need.

Glo bunny headband:  $.39 @ Liquidation World (RSP:  $3.99)
Glittery flame pantyhose:  $.49 @ Liquidation World (RSP:  $4.99)

Haven't been here in a while. Wasn't much left, but Halloween stuff was 90% off. Pretty crazy seeing children's costumes for less than $1!

Light up pitchfork:  $1 @ EFADS
Silver masquerade mask:  $2 @ Dollar Park
Animal shaped soap:  free @ The Body Shop

Last minute Halloween shopping for something that turned out to be a bust.

I'm a sucker for things that light up, so I bought the pitchfork on a whim.  It came with batteries, but they turned out to be dead.  I probably won't ever take it outside, but it amused me.

The mask I bought for a last minute costume.  The feathers used to be in the middle of the mask, but that looked stupid.

The base is surprisingly decent quality for the price.  I thought I might go back for the gold one, but they had them all packed away the next time I went.

The Body Shop was giving away soap on Halloween.  It was advertised in the front window, but you had to go ask for it.

I got a bear and a rhino, my brother got a turtle and elephant.  Saw a dolphin in the mix but didn't like the color.

I also ended up getting a sample of one of their creams.  I saw they had a lot of sulphate free shampoos, so I'll probably try one the next time I need shampoo.

I haven't been to that store in decades.  Everything smelled sooo good, and I like how they keep things as natural as possible.  Prices are pretty decent too, so I'll have to go back during a worthwhile sale.
