Huge vintage Japan piggy bank:  $5.99 @ Value village.

With the small one for comparison!   This is the biggest one I've ever seen.

I assumed it would be marked stupidly high, so I was shocked that it was so low!  I expected it to be at least $20.

I've seen vintage pigs before, but they were always off somehow.  Either not that cute or too expensive.

I finally got the small one to match this one.  I think the smaller one is much cuter...the proportions are better somehow.

Vintage Japan piggy bank:  $3.99 @ Salvation army.

I actually saw this here for around a month.  It felt like the right time to buy it so I did.

They had it grouped with these other vintage Japanese pigs:

The cookie jar was $9, and the other pig was $4.  I didn't think they were as cute as the one I got.

Piggy slippers:  $2.85 (RSP:  $9.50)

Flamingo slippers:  $5.85 (RSP:  $19.50)

Both @ Ardene

Free shipping, so why not. I was interested in these flamingo slippers from wal mart:

They're only $9 retail!  I think they look nicer than the ones I got.

Airtight tape x 2
Animal magnets
Heart push pins
Vegetable peeler

$2 each @ Yokoyaya

Finally!  I've been waiting for that insulation foam to come back for a long while.

The magnets are surprisingly good.  They're pretty strong and useful too!

Jewelry stand
Heart basket
Fluffy panda pouchette
Fluffy pig pouchette
2 pink regalia baskets
6 shelf bracket sets

All $2 each @ Daiso

I actually only came here to get a specific thing, but they didn't have it!  So these were all impulse buys.  I was happy about the shelves because they're more expensive everywhere else.

GC fragrance:  Pearly ceramic elephant candle
GC fragrance:  Pearly ceramic winged pig sachet

Both $6.99 each @ Winners (RSP:  $12 + each)

These were full price, which I don't normally like paying...but I thought they were reasonable enough.  I love pearly ceramics and these were really neat.  They smelled really good!

The pig was a no-brainer...so neat and quirky.  I liked the elephant, but it wasn't love...I decided to get it just in case.

I'm not sure how much they would have been elsewhere.  I saw some through third party sellers for $20, but that's not much of an indicator.  I can't wait to see what else they have!

3 in 1 fly swatter:  $1.25 @ Dollarama

Set of 6 food sealing clips
Double sided tape

$2 each @ Yokoyaya

That's the neatest fly swatter I've ever seen!  It comes with a pan attached and even has flyers in the handle.  It was super cheap too!

I thought the food sealing clips were cute and useful.  There are even sliders so you can set a date!  I did see online that they used to sell 8 for the same price not even a year ago though.

Pig salt and pepper shakers:  $3.47 @ Superstore (RSP:  $4.49)

I've seen these before, and the retail is already pretty reasonable.  They used to be $4 full price!  I saw it went on sale so it felt like time to get them.

I wish they had other ones!  I already have the dogs, and those are the only two they seem to have right now.

Deli - Pig stapler:  $2.99 @ T & T

It was actually a bit more online, so I'm glad I bought it in person.  It would have taken months to arrive too!

It's a bit more than I'd like to pay, but it was so cute I couldn't resist.  I kind of wanted the green cat on the right too.

Komax - 3 pc piggy microwave cover set:  $4.99 @ T&T (RSP:  $19.99)

I couldn't resist!  It was cute, pink, and practical.  Even though this was regular price, it seemed quite reasonable.

I was right!  The biggest lid alone is selling for $8, and I saw the exact same set for $20 on amazon.ca.  Totally happy I bought this!

Pink Christmas tree
Double sided tape
"Fairy dog" fruit box
Hair pin case set

Cosmetic case (square)
Cosmetic case (round)
Cosmetic case (round)

Pig bento box
Strawberry bento box

$2 each @ Yokoyaya

I wish this store was nearby!  They always have such neat stuff.  I saw that tree, and it was instant love...after that I was pretty much on a pink rampage.

I was surprised at those crystal top boxes.  They look much more expensive than they are!  They totally look like glass until you pick them up.

I took the lights and decorations off of a crappy mini tree I found at Value Village for $2...I think it looks much better on this one!

I would love a big pink tree, but I don't see them for sale here.  I almost wonder if I should get a few more and try to cobble one together myself.

Pig scrub brush:  $1.25 @ Dollarama

I saw this for a long time, it was around when I bought my rubber ducky scrubber.  I didn't think I'd need this one, so I didn't want it back then.

A while later, I thought I could use one for scrubbing food.  All of the ones I had found had wonky eyes or other problems though, so I held out until I found one in better condition.  It's finally happened!

Toy lot - 2006 Barbie kitchen set, high heel shaped container, flocked monkey, lil bratz clothes:  $3

Westminster toys - "Miss Diva" walking/oinking pig:  $2.50 (7 days)

All @ Talize

Due to my recent obsession, I hit up the toy section first.  I wonder if these would have still been around if I didn't?

I've been crazy about pigs lately, so it was funny that I found this one.  I've always wanted one of those mechanical pets, but I never got one when I was younger because they were too expensive.  This one was definitely priced right!

I have no idea why they made it so tacky though.  What's with the wig?  The pig acts like a normal pig too, so I don't know why they describe her as "sassy."

The other weird thing is, the box is dated 2001, while the pig is dated 1986!  There's even a different company name on the pig - iwaya.  So I wonder if they just repackaged old stock.

Turns out the pig is still being sold under the name "Mr. Bacon."  Same company too, but all of the colours are garish and ugly.  I'm pretty happy with the one I got, and the price just can't be beat.  The new ones are $25!

I wasn't sure about the kitchen because one of the handles was missing, but turns out that area doesn't open anyway.  But the microwave, oven, and other cabinet do, so I thought it was worth the $3.

Especially since it also had a lot of neat details (like a hanging rack), and it looked realistic.  Well, more realistic than usual for something from barbie.  Found a stock picture of it:

The colour is pretty unique too, plus I thought the molded floral details were pretty.  Plus, it came with a bunch of other stuff I liked so I thought the bag was worth it.

It came with even more than shown, but I already redonated that stuff.
