Haven't gone thrifting in a while!  I didn't think I'd go today either, but I can't resist a $1 sale.  It hardly ever comes.

I really didn't think there'd be anything good, so I was surprised I found these.  And so fast too!  Within minutes of walking into the store.

This is Armani, but it's just below the Emporio Armani line.  It is made in Italy, so I'm sure the original price was still pretty expensive.

They're honestly quite basic.  I probably wouldn't have bought them if not for the label.  Who could pass up $1 Armani that fits them??  The stuff made in China withstanding.

They had another $1 sale, so I just had to check it out.  I'm surprised I came away with so little!  I was eyeing this silk Mulberry dress, but I just thought the print was kind of ugly.  It fit me, but I didn't think I'd wear it, so I left it behind.

I have nothing like this so I thought it would be nice to have.  It actually does work with the right accessories!

Plus, $1 silk is always right.  I'm guessing on the retail price, but their silk pants are $70, so I'm guessing this should be more than that.

I didn't expect to buy so many bottoms!  I normally don't since I don't like trying them on, and you really have to for these.

Well, I ended up doing that.  I need more pants!  

The Danier pants are a little too small for me, but I figured I could use the leather for something else if I can't wear it.  

I really didn't think the other leather pants would look good..they looked so dated!  But the waist looked interesting, so I decided to try it on.

I'm glad I did!  This is a total gem, it looks amazing on.  I was worried it'd be baggy, but it's pretty much skintight.  The high waist looks awesome, especially with the criss cross detailing on the band.

I actually saw a ton of Danier leather stuff, at least 6 pieces.  Most of them were suede pants though, I hate suede!  It's too bad, some of them had really nice designs.  

Well, they were also too small, so I wasn't tempted in the least.  I wonder if they were donated by the company, they didn't look used!

I always have to go whenever they have this sale!  You just never know what you're going to find.

I wasn't sure about the blazers, since they are a bit too small for me.  I can't close them fully, but they're really nicely fitted everywhere else.  I think they still look ok, so I bought them anyway.  The quality is great.

The black one is actually  new with tags.  It came with a beautiful matching skirt that was made of the same material as the collar, but it was way too small so I left it behind.

I wasn't too sure about the dresses, but I couldn't resist for the price!  The second one is vintage.  I thought it would look cute in a campy way.  I found a picture of the white dress in blue:

It's definitely better in white!

I can't  believe that Zara dress was still there!  I tried it on again, and it was sadly too small for me...but it was just so fitted.  I thought about it, and decided to get it as a sort of goal dress....it was only $1, and I already regretted leaving it last time!

I wasn't sure about the crochet dress at first, but I bought it because it has such gorgeous details.  There are even pearl buttons at the back!

The other dresses are really neat.  The green one was made in a city near me!  I was just looking at long halter dresses the other day so I was happy to find a cheap one so soon.

I just took a look at the designer's website, and she has a lot of amazing designs...really timeless and feminine.  I'd love to find more of her work!

Doing some research, I've seen her dresses priced from $400 to $5000!  I wonder how much this one retailed for.  Similar ones seem to go for 1 to 2K, so I think it's safe to say that it was at least $1000.

The other dress is really neat, but it needs to be ironed.  It has such great pleats, and the fabric is neat!  It's somewhat shiny and a bit stiff.

Yep, I went back!  I'm glad I did.  I don't know if I would have gone just for this sale, but I also had some one day only FPC's to redeem.

I wasn't sure about any of these, but they both had things I loved about them.  The blouse has such gorgeous embroidery:

The red blouse has such gorgeous details at the neck, mostly at the back.  I don't like it as is, but I'm thinking about making it sleeveless.  

The skirt just seemed like such great quality.  It's all in Korean, so I don't know what brand it is.  The pleats are just done so perfectly!  I don't know if I'll ever wear it, so maybe I shouldn't have picked it up afterall.

They haven't had one of these in a while!  I wasn't sure if I wanted to wake up early for it, but I ended up going.  I was the first one there!

The Rebecca Taylor blouse is my favourite find, it's so gorgeous!  It has a high neck collar and adds some modern accents to this victorian style blouse.

It's too small for me though...I'm going to have to do some alterations.  The style is just so great though, it'll be worth it.  The tag is all in Japanese, but I'm betting it'll hold up in the wash.

The others (besides Rouie and Rebecca Taylor) are Korean brands, but the dress is surprisingly good quality.  It's so heavy weight!  It actually came with a blazer, but since they started charging each piece separately, I left it behind.

I was unsure about the brown blazer, since it's not exceptional quality either.  But I just really liked the style, and the fit was great.  For $1, why not?  The label is super cute too.

The lightweight grey coat was a nice find.  I don't have many other light coats and this one looks great on.

I bought the wool dress to make into another lightweight coat.  It's pretty horrendous as is (plus totally oversized on me..and it has those horrid shoulder pads!), but I saw a lot of potential.  The sleeves are neat and the gathered draping skirt looks awesome.

I passed up a black Zara woman dress...I'm kicking myself now!  It was totally plain and the material wasn't great (polyester and rayon), but it was completely fitted.  I thought I had similar dresses at home, but when I checked they weren't as similar as I thought.

That one was really fitted!  I couldn't appreciate it because I didn't try it on properly.  On the small chance that it's still there tomorrow, I'll pick it up!

They haven't had a $1 sale in a long time, so when I heard the voice message they left me, I just had to go!

I was pretty lazy though.  I ended up going on the last day, I almost didn't go!

There wasn't really much there, and I wasn't even sure if I should get these.  But since they're good quality and interesting enough I decided to get them.  I probably wouldn't have paid more than a dollar for them!

The blazer is pretty cute.  I wasn't sure about it at first, but I loved it when I put it on!  It has some stains though, I'm really hoping they'll come out.

It's so intricate though, it has tucks and pleats everywhere!  Plus, the buttons look like knotted rope.

The sleeveless top is made out of ramie, I've never heard of it!  That was the primary reason I bought it, I'm all for variety.

I actually came to check out MCC's half off sale.  Funnily enough, I didn't buy anything there...but I did buy things from the surrounding stores!

After coming two weeks in a row for the possibility of a $1 sale and being disappointed, I wasn't even thinking about it today.  I was so happy when I saw their sign!

The first thing I found was the blazer.  I thought the buttons were cool, and then I noticed the designer.  I can't believe something that retailed for over a grand would have "cheap" incorporated in its name.

The second thing I found was the brown blazer.  It's really thick wool and amazing quality, but no tags anywhere.  I thought, why not for the quality and the price.  Plus, I don't have anything like it, surprisingly enough.

The Urban Behaviour blazer looked great on the rack, but not so great on.  I was thinking about putting it back, but for a dollar, I thought I could work with it somehow.

The skirt was an afterthought.  I don't have a skirt exactly like this and it's great quality.  The brown shirt is just average quality, but I really liked the design.

Then the Jem dolls - I was so surprised these were marked so reasonably!  When I got to the till, it ended up being half price to boot - I don't think I've ever gotten dolls for this cheap there!

I hesitated for a while since I don't really collect these dolls anymore, but I've never found these ones before so I thought they were rare.  If I knew they'd be this cheap from the start, I wouldn't have hesitated at all!

I've been waiting for another $1 sale!  They asked if I wanted to be phoned when they had another one so of course I said yes.  It turns out they have them whenever they have too much stock, which seems to be once a month.  Score!

I don't really like the Danier coat, but I thought I could use the leather for something.  Or maybe use it as is if I tailor it..right now it's really boxy and unflattering.

The skirts are flattering and a unique cut.  The photo doesn't do it justice, but the black skirt only has a few pleats on the left, plus a pleated rhinestone waistband design.

The grey skirt is made in the U.S. and says dry clean only, so I'm sure it was an expensive brand...I wish I knew who made it.

When I was paying they brought out the lace jacket - I just had to have it!  The gathered lace train is right up my alley, even though I really don't like velvet.  Overall, the design outweighs the fabric so it was a no-brainer, especially at that price.

I really didn't think they'd have this sale again!  Next time I better ask if it's a regular occurrence...I'd sure like to be first in line when that comes around again!

Most people were stuffing garbage bags full of things  I'm glad I managed to find these gems.

I almost passed on this because I already have so many coats.  I decided to try it on, and I just couldn't put it back - it was so flattering!

It was fitted and so billowy at the bottom.  It really reminds me of the banana republic coat I bought a while back, including the gorgeous lining:

The shoulder pads have GOT to come out, then I'll have to alter the shoulders a bit....but it's well worth the buck!  I might change the buttons too.

I'm so happy I was in the area today!  I found a lot of great stuff here.

I have no idea what kind of fur the stole is, it feels so luxurious!  The shorts are pretty and don't look worn...I just love the chiffon pleats at the bottom.

The clutch was kind of an afterthought.  It hasn't even been used - there's still tissue inside!  It's made out of a quilted faux suede and has a silver fabric flower on top....for the price, why not.

Someone told me that the fur was probably chinchilla...score!  Those kind of fur collars are over $300 new!  It is definitely the best fur I've ever felt, so I'm inclined to believe it.

Too bad I kind of ruined it by washing it...it's not ruined per se, but the backing is a bit hard now.

This was a total surprise.  I noticed they had a sale sign stating that everything in the store is $1, so of course I had to go in!  I normally don't go in because it's so cramped and the prices aren't that great.

It was a total zoo....and people kept on walking into my dressing room so I didn't bother to try on half of the things above.

The shoes are my favourite!  Finally...low heeled, comfortable leather shoes that are cute!  It fit me perfectly and looks new except for the soles.  

I love the dresses too.  They're really nice quality and pretty flattering.

I really love the pantsuit too, but I doubt I'd ever wear it out...it's so dated!  Maybe I could use the blazer after I take out those huge shoulder pads.  I think it was handmade since I don't see any tags.

Still...I think it looks awesome as is, but I don't think I could look like I belong in another decade all by myself.

The stuff in the last picture was an impulse buy.  I thought the shirt might be silk...now I know it isn't, but I still like the design.  The buttons are so pretty!

The jacket...it's buttery soft leather.  I couldn't say no for a dollar!  It's not that nice or fitted, but I'm sure I can do something with it.
