EJM ltd - NWT red/plaid dress:  $3.50
Kathie Lee for Plaza South - Embroidered red dress:  $3.50

All @ Value Village

I had an insane day today!!  It was like something from a dream....I found 100 NEW WITH tag vintage dresses here!!  Almost all the kind I like the best too -- shirt dresses!  I literally spent 3 and a half hours trying stuff on here...I remember having at least 50 of them in my cart!

It was a huge headache, and I ended up being really picky since things were adding up fast.  I'm sure I would have bought more if I found these at other times!

Some of these didn't have tags, but I was sure they were new because I've never seen these brands before...and there were a ton of other ones (of that name) with tags on.

Some of them still had store tags on - Nando Jackson!  A department store in the US that's still around today.  I wonder how they ended up here?

I think all of the ones in this post were from the early 90's, but they did have stuff from down to the 70's as well!

Burberry - classic trench coat:  $15 @ Talize (RSP:  $1000+)

My find of the day!  I bought this on half off day, but I wanted to make sure it was real before posting.  It's authentic, just like I thought!

The person said it was probably from the 80's or 90's, but thankfully the shoulders don't reflect that. Back then they had an s at the end of their name.

I thought it was probably real because the tag was under the label...I heard about that once, and I don't think fakers do things like that.

The only problem was the lining...I thought that it ALWAYS had to match up, and mine didn't.

But since everything else looked right, plus it looked great on, I took a chance.

Also...there was another Burberry coat there, and I was sure it was real.  It was like the above, except everything lined up and there was one additional tag.

It was so plain and shapeless though!  It looked just like this one:

Even the lining was the same, which was a turnoff.  It wasn't the classic nova check, it was another plaid I found kind of ugly and dated:

I think it was $7.50, I didn't pay too much attention because I didn't like it much.  But now, I wonder if I should have got it.  It looks good belted:

And even better with an upturned collar!

Now I kind of wish I bought it, but the other one didn't have a belt.  I'm sure I could have used one I already had though.

The colour was different from the one I bought too, it was the same as these ones pictured.

Oh well, I'm sure it's gone now.  Plus, the one I did pick up is a million times better!

H&M - Blush pink trench coat:  $6.50 (RSP:  $69.95)

Jones New York - Wool military blazer:  $6.50 (RSP:  $150+)

Both @ Value Village.

I almost didn't go to this location, but I'm glad I did!  I only had an hour left but I didn't want to rush...well, somehow I made it through.

I almost didn't think I'd get anything, but at the very last minute I found these gems!

I was really hesitant about the trench because it's H&M...a cheap mall brand.  I could probably have gotten it on sale new for $20, maybe...I don't really follow their sales.

Anyway, I tried it on and it took my breath away.  It was gorgeous!   Fitted, flared, and flattering...it's a beautiful princess cut.  I found a picture of another blogger wearing it:

It's amazing!  I didn't think H&M had good quality clothes, but this one was so impressive.  Even the lining is gorgeous!  I'll have to pay more attention to them from now on.

I didn't have high hopes for the blazer, but surprisingly, that looked good on too.  I definitely didn't want to pay full price for either (though I might have bought the trench still), so I'm happy with the price I paid.

Joe Fresh - babydoll trench coat:  $4.90 (RSP:  $59+)

Urban Behaviour - leather collection - biker jacket:  $10.50

Both @ Value Village.

I'm pretty happy with both of these!  Ever since I found the pink one, I've been hoping to find more Urban Behaviour leathers - the fit and style are just awesome!

I'm surprised this wasn't overpriced...it was the cheapest jacket on the wrack, and by far the best looking one!

Another surprise was the Joe Fresh trench.  I never thought to look there because the styles weren't that impressive and I assumed the quality was just average...as for pricing, I can get better stuff at Winners.

Anyhow, I thought it was vintage upon first feel!  The style certainly looks that way.  It's 100% cotton and surprisingly good quality.

It's from their 2008 Spring collection - I found a picture of a model sporting it:

I also came across one of their dresses...which was great quality as well.  I'm going to have to start paying attention the next time I go grocery shopping!

Wilsons - leather trench coat:  $12.50 (Similar styles retail for $500!)

Rose chiffon dress:  $3.50

Le Chateau - NWT black belted dress:  $9 (RSP:  $120+)

Even though I have a ton of black leather coats, I just had to get this one - it's stylish and it fits perfectly!  My research leads me to believe that it's from the 80's (just like me!).

I'm going to have to get rid of some of my other ones, they're just not as good as this one.  God, they were more expensive too!  I should have held out.

I saw potential in the chiffon dress so I picked it up.  It'll look great after I hem it up a little!  It's sewn with metallic gold thread and is just darling...but I wouldn't have paid more for it.

The last one took me so long to decide.  I would never buy a Le Chateau dress secondhand unless it was really cheap...they never are.

I loved the design and this one still had tags on, but I wasn't sure it was worth it.  I decided to get it anyway, and return it if it comes to that.

Well, that's not happening!  The dress is gorgeous and pretty unique.  Plus I look great in it.  It's staying!

Hooded leather trench coat:  $6.49
CNKW - Quilted burnished gold purse: $2.49 (RSP:  $35+)

Both @ Talize.

I saw this coat a while ago, but didn't buy it since I knew there would be a half price sale on.

If there wasn't, I probably would have paid full price...$12.99 is pretty decent for a leather coat this nice!

When I saw it I didn't think it was that great, but the fit is incredibly flattering. Plus it has a hood.

I already have a ton of leather coats, but since I don't have one in this colour (dark burgundy)....and it has a hood...it came home with me.

Being half price helped a lot too.

I don't normally buy used purses, but I really loved the design of this one - I'm such a sucker for quilted turnlock purses..  It looked like it had never been used, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it.

But come on - it was only $2.50!  I just had to buy it.

Golden Swallow - leather jacket:  $17.50 @ Value Village

I have way too many leather coats now. The only reason I picked this one up was because it has a real fur collar and a rabbit fur lining - it's so warm!

The leather is really soft and supple too, but the coat's a little bit shapeless. I'm planning on cinching it in just a little bit.

Lady Western - Brown hooded leather trench coat:  $8.99

Mac Laren's - Black leather trench coat:  $12.49

Both @ Value Village.

I'm so glad half off day came so soon!  I read it normally only came every three months, and since the last one was just a month ago, I thought I was in for a long wait.

Luckily, they had a members only event, and only for a limited amount of items. Even luckier still, leather and fur jackets were included!

I was hoping I would find a nice fur coat, but at least I came away with a lot of great leathers.

The first one's amazing, style and price wise!

Funnily enough, I was just admiring a very similar one on Etsy a few weeks ago. I actually like mine way better, and it was so much cheaper too! I'll probably add some real fur once I find it.

The other one is a great design, it looks pretty modern though I'm sure it's vintage.

It needs some work though. It's a little too big for me, and the last owner seems to have put buttons on and then taken them out.

I'll have to put them back on again since there's no way to repair the leather there, plus it would solve both of those problems!

Really happy I decided to check out this location. I've never seen so many leather coats in one place!

Jofama - tan leather trench coat:  $14.99 @ Value Village

I should probably stop going to Value Villages for a while.  It seems like every time I go, I walk away with a leather jacket!

I wasn't sure if I should buy this one.  I wasn't even positive it was real leather, it was stiff and somewhat uncomfortable.

Besides some tiny areas that are majorly worn, the coat looks almost new.  It doesn't have a strong thrift store smell, so it doesn't need much work.

The deciding factor was the fact that it seemed like it was made recently.  All of my other ones are vintage, so it would be nice to own something newer.

Turns out this brand is crazy expensive - this coat's pretty similar and it retails for over $700!

Dav Mark - Tan leather trench coat:  $17.50 @ Union gospel thrift store

I hardly ever go to this thrift store since it rarely has anything I want.  Since I started looking for leather jackets, I decided to give it another chance - I'm glad I did!

When I put this coat on today, I think I gasped audibly - it looked so good!  It was amazing quality, but I really didn't want to pay $35 for a used coat.

I was thinking about coming back when they had a half off sale, but I asked around...and it was today!  The signs really weren't clear about that.

It's missing two buttons, but other than that, it looks just like new!  The cut and fit is so flattering, I even got complimented in store!

Brown leather trench coat:  $15 @ Value Village

I went in because they were having a half off sale.  I didn't think the style was that exciting, and almost put it back on the rack...but I bought it because the leather was so soft and supple.

I'm addicted to leather coats now, but I'd never pay full price!

That includes full thrift store prices.  I don't see the point of paying $30 when I know I could get them for much less at another time.

I'm definitely going in the next time they have this sale!  I just wish I went to more, I found a really nice one a few days later at another location, but didn't want to pay full price.

Body lotion: free @ Bath and body works (RSP:  $5)
Fairweather - Leather coat w/coyote fur trim:  $19.60 @ Value Village
Sailor moon doll:  $2.80 @ Value Village

I initially went out to get my BBW freebie, but ended up going to Value Village since I hadn't gone in a while.

I'm so glad I did! I'm normally pretty squeamish about buying clothes secondhand, but this coat was worth it.  It's so me, and I'm sure it retailed for a couple hundred dollars.

I only bought it because it looked to be in like new condition...plus, it's gorgeous!

I probably wouldn't have bothered if the materials were any different, but where else can you get leather and coyote fur for under $20?

There's a similar coat at Danier leather going for $700 - retail price was $1,300!

I'm guessing the coat is from the 80's, judging by the yellowed tag.  Also, seeing how it's marked size 6 and fits like a 0-2!

I ended up getting 30% off my total, it was a one day only promo if you spend over $30.

The sailor moon doll-I just couldn't leave it behind.  I might just fix her up and sell her.
