ZenB by Zenobia Bawa - NWT Olive green silk halter dress:  $4 (RSP:  $225+)
La Regale - Vintage glass beaded purse:  $2.50
Seduction - Ruffled floral dress:  $3

Beaded sleeveless top:  $3
Forever 21 -  Ruffled floral tank:  $3

All @ Value Village

I almost didn't come here today.  But I did, since I remembered that I almost always find great stuff when I make an effort to go!  This one's a bit farther away than the other ones I go to though, which is why I was hesitant.

The black top doesn't look like much, but it has a beautiful beaded design on it:

It's really great quality.  It even zips up from the bottom!  I wonder who the maker was.

Close up of the beaded purse:

Like I said, I'm all about the beads lately!  Beaded purses are pretty common second hand, but none of them have ever caught my eye until now.

I just liked the colours on this one...and the design.  Plus, the fact that the beads are made of glass..it just feels exquisite to touch.

Also, the chord is made of metal.  Most of the ones I've seen just use nylon.  I don't want any of the cheap quality ones, but I wouldn't mind more like this one!

The floral things are cheap mall quality, but I just really liked them.  $3 seemed like an alright price for them.

Black lace top w/floral and polka dot accents (RSP:  $13)
Red lace top w/floral and polka dot accents (RSP:  $13)
White engraved rose sleeveless top (RSP:  $12)
Coral engraved rose sleeveless top (RSP:  $12)

All $2.50 each @ Sirens

Plus the silver plate toggle belt that was $1, which probably retailed for $6.

I didn't even use a coupon!  I would have, but I hardly ever find enough to buy these days.  Which is good, since I don't want to be buying more than I want just to save a few bucks.

These all seemed worth it though.  The lace tops are pretty unique!  The top part has a polka dot design, the middle has a floral design, and the rest is plain.  It's solid at the front under the floral part, which is just at the bust.  It's quite pretty on!

I've eyed those engraved rose things at Sirens for a while, but I was waiting to see if they'd go any lower.  There was a $5 peplum I was thinking about buying, but these were even better!

They had a teal one too, but none in my size.  Just as well anyway, since they were all 2 for $5.

UK2LA - Knee high black boots:  $5 (RSP:  $30)
UK2LA - Brown combat boots:  $5 (RSP:  $30)

Cropped shirts:  $1 each (RSP:  $6 each)
Sleeveless shirts:  $1.50/$1 (RSP:  $6 each)
Pink lace trimmed leggings:  $1.50 each (RSP:  $7 each)

All @ Bluenotes

I wonder how long this sale is going on!  Every time I go back, they have more stuff.  I'm tempted to go back again just in case.

The clothes were on a $1.50 rack, but I noticed that half of them were marked at $1.  I kind of assumed that all of them would be $1, but the cashier said that they would be the price marked.

I decided to pass on the white sleeveless shirt because of that...but when I checked the receipt, they were indeed $1 each!

After I paid I also found the black knee high boots, so I decided to buy the white shirt again.  Ironically, that one actually was $1.50!  I probably wouldn't have bought it if I knew it would actually be that price.  It's the principle of it!

Gathered sleeveless maxi dress:  $12.98 @ Aliexpress

This was also on sale, and I also had a $1 off coupon!

I bought the grey one previously and totally fell in love with it...everything about it is gorgeous!  The fit and style are so flattering and unique.

I've seen this dress sold for upwards of $45 online...and plenty of people have paid that price!

I just wish this seller had more colours in stock.  The only one I don't have is black...but since it seems so similar to the dark grey one I have, it seems pointless.

This seller has a bunch of neat colours that I'd love to have (white, blue, light grey), but I just can't see myself paying over twice the price for the same item!

Chiffon halter maxi dress:  $11.59 (RSP:  $20+)
Leopard skull duster clutch:  $9.11  (BIN:  $24.83)
White beaded necklace:  $1.66 (BIN:  $5.99)

All off eBay.

I've been wanting that halter dress for a long time, it looked so gorgeous in the promos!  I finally found one for a cheap BIN so I jumped on it..it turned out to be even better quality than expected!  Way better than the other ones I've gotten so far.

I want it in a bunch of other colours now.  Stupidly, I did buy it in pink, but they said they moved their stock to another warehouse and they were only selling to the US.  That was just a day after I bought the other one!

I looked at their listing, and they're still selling it....for twice the price!  And they're selling worldwide.

I'm pretty annoyed about that..I wonder if I should call them on it or just leave them a neutral.

I still look out for cheap dusters I don't have.  I have a glittery leopard one, but not one like this!  It was a great price so why not.

Spread your wings - Blue rose print maxi dress:  $3.50
Vicky Tiel - NWT Flutter sleeve wrap dress in ocean:  $6.50 (RSP:  $79.90)

Cache - contour collection - Fitted black dress with ruffled sleeveline and mandarin collar:  $6.50 (RSP:  $200+)
Morell Maxie - Ruched silk dress: $ 6.50 (RSP:  $320+)

All @ Value Village

I can't resist half off days!  Thankfully there was still something there for me, even though I ended up going late in the afternoon.  I kind of wish I had time to go to some other ones, but at least I found these gems.

The maxi dress was the first thing I found.  I'm just a sucker for maxi dresses, plus I thought the print was pretty neat.  I also liked the high collar, and the price was great (for Value Village at least!).  It looked new and it was made in the USA, so it probably retailed for around $100.

I found a pink version on eBay...they wanted $22 for it used, but it didn't sell.  The pink version is pretty cute, I would have picked it up too!  I even prefer it a little.

The second dress I picked up was the Vicky Tiel.  I actually saw it the week before, but it wasn't a must have because the style wasn't unique.  I didn't notice it was new with tags back then, otherwise I would have been tempted to buy it!

I really like her perfumes, which is one reason I wanted it.  But the clincher is, it looks wonderful on!  She has so many good reviews.  It was made for the shopping network...too bad, I thought it might have been something higher end than that!

Bodycon dresses aren't flattering on me, but I couldn't help but pick this cache one up.  It's so well made!  It's fitted everywhere, even though it wasn't necessary since it was so form fitting and stretchy.  The details are beautiful...I love the sleeves and the collar.  I don't see dresses like this all of the time, it was worth adding to my closet!

The silk one...well, I can't pass up beautiful silk.  The design is gorgeous, but I wish it was another colour.  Black just seems so plain...you can hardly make out the details on a dress like this due to the colour!

Green sleeveless halter dress:  $11.01 $7.50
Pink winged skull duster purse:  $20.99

All off Aliexpress

I wish I didn't pay so much for that purse!  It's gorgeous...I waited the whole year and it never went on sale, so I decided to take the plunge.

Well, now it's on sale!  For only a dollar less, but still.  There's also another coupon coming up soon, so I could have saved at least $2 on it.

The other reason I bought it was, I don't see it for sale anywhere else!  I didn't think it was likely for me to get it for any cheaper, and I didn't want to risk it going out of stock.  It does happen!  Listings just get pulled out of the blue on there.

I got a discount on the dress because it ended up being way too small.  It was supposed to be "free size," but that didn't work out.

Cameo pantyhose (RSP:  $6)
Tan eelskin purse
Lia Sophia - NWT "Empire" 2010 Gold jeweled bracelet (RSP:  $130(!))
Lia Sophia - NWT "Dynasty" 2012 Silver collar necklace (RSP:  $142(!))
Joan & David - Black patent flats (RSP:  $180)

La Senza - NWT Fuchsia silk slip (RSP:  $40)
Completely Me by Liz Lange - NWT Fuchsia maxi dress (RSP:  $64)

All at that same place.  I was so surprised to find out how much that jewelry cost!  It's higher quality than most costume jewelry, but not by much.  I would have guessed maybe $30 would have been a more reasonable regular price.  You could get jewelry made out of high quality materials for that price!  Found a stock picture of the necklace:

Everything in the last picture was an extra.  They had a few racks outside the store with extra things anyone could take home.  I ended up getting some pink hangers, they were just too cute!

Evan Picone - Tweed skirt suit
Calvin Klein - NWT Black gathered pleat sleeveless top (RSP:  $65+)

H&M - Grey wool knit jacket (RSP:  $129)

All free for me because it's a perk of a program I'm in right now.  Sadly, I ruined the coat by washing it.  Oh well, at least I'll have this picture to remember it by!

Found a photo of the suit:

It's not as fitted as I'd like, but it was a lot nicer on than I expected.

Long white rose print halter dress:  $13.70 @ eBay (RSP:  $20+)
Long grey ruched sleeveless dress:  $12.98 @ aliexpress (RSP:  $20+)

I've wanted both of these dresses for a long time, and they arrived at the same time!

I went through a mini ordeal getting the white one.  I tried buying it two times off aliexpress - the first time the seller said it was out of stock, the second time it never arrived!

Even though they were cheaper on aliexrpess (as low as $11), I was tired of  trying my luck on there.  I waited a month for the second one!  I was tired of all of the uncertainty so I ended up just buying it on eBay, even though it's more there.  It's also now too cold to wear it, which totally sucks.

At least I can wear the other one anytime!  Even though the idea is simple, the way it flows makes it look so elegant!  I've seen it for $20+ elsewhere, so I was really happy to snatch it up at this price.

They also have a coral one, but I'll wait until it's on sale again before buying it.

Black and blue lace peplum tops w/chain belts:  $2.50 each (RSP:  $12 each)

Long navy green tank dress:  $3.50 (RSP:  $12)
Seduction - Long black tank dress:  $3.50 (RSP:  $21)

All @ Sirens

I was originally going to buy more, but then I realized that my coupon had expired!  I considered going back another time when I had the coupon, but I didn't want to miss out.  Those tank dresses were the last ones there, and they were such a great deal!

I was kicking myself for not checking before I left, but it turns out it hadn't even been posted at that time.  They posted it right after I bought it!

I was actually going to buy similar ones on ebay for $6.25 each..I didn't think I could find them locally for even cheaper!  What are the chances of that?  I was literally going to buy them online yesterday!

Those ones would be of questionable quality, so I'm really glad I waited.  The green one's about mid calf length, while the black one is floor length.

The lace tops are the same ones I bought at urban behavior a while back.  They were $.50 more, but I regretted not buying the blue one back then, so it was ok.

These were all "2 for $x dollar" deals, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought the black lace top.  I already have so many!  I would have still bought both tank dresses though, I can't get enough of them!  They're so versatile, simple, and effortless.

The black one was actually made in the US!  It's just one s apart from their store brand, seductions.  There's a hole in the back and it has a lot more detail than the other one, which is probably why it was almost twice the price.

Cynthia Rowley - Blue tweed skirt with neon yellow belt:  $.70 (RSP:  $29.99 - $125+)
MM Couture by Miss me - Chiffon halter dress:  $5 (RSP:  $39.99 - $80)

Both @ Winners

I wasn't even planning on going to this one, but since I was in the area, I had nothing to lose.

There was practically nothing left, but I managed to find these gems!  I actually saw that dress when it was $15 and wanted it then, so I'm really happy it was still left.

The skirt is pretty interesting, especially paired with the neon dress.  It feels like it's made out of a rug!

The tag said it retailed for $50, but I just looked it up online...similar skirts are going for $125!  Didn't see that coming.  Some of her skirts are over $200!

So that's the end of this round...whew!  Finally done.

Nine west - Urban nomad dress:  $2 (RSP:  $39.99 - $210)
Max studio - White lace dress:  $5 (RSP:  $49.99 - $128+)

Ralph Lauren- Denim & Supply - Red Hawaiian print halter top:  $2 (RSP:  $24.99 - $54.50)
One clothing - Polka dot bustier dress:  $3 (RSP:  $24.99 - $50)

Diba - Car laa - Multicoloured lace cork wedges:  $3 (RSP:  $39.99 - $80)
Pour La Victoire - Leandra  - Tan pony hair lace up boots:  $3 (RSP:  $59.99 - $375)

All @ Winners

I'm so glad I went to this one.  It was late, and I wasn't expecting much..luckily there was some stuff waiting there for me.

I'm happiest about the boots!  I was really surprised to see them, since this is supposed to be summer clearance.  The heel has a small problem, but it'll be an easy fix.  I couldn't leave them behind for that price!

I've heard of the brand before, but never paid attention to their prices.  Winners said the regular price was $120, but I saw their actual pricing online and was floored.  Score!

London times - Satin floral peplum dress w/belt:  $5 (RSP:  $39.99 - $80)
Dex 1963 - Asymmetrical chiffon dress w/stud collar:  $5 (RSP:  $24.99 - $50+)

Coastal cocktails - Skinny apple martini mix in glass high heel bottle:  $1.10 (RSP:  $6.99 - $10)
Coastal cocktails - Cranberry cosmo mix in glass high heel bottle:  $1.10 (RSP:  $6.99 - $10)
Bond no. 9 - I love new york for all 100 ml eau de parfum:  $22 (RSP:  $149.99 - $265!)
Escada - Desire me 50 ml eau de parfum:  $12 (RSP:  $39.99 - $65)

All @ Winners

These were some of the highlights from this season!  I've never heard of London Times before, but now I have two of their dresses.

They're both satin florals, but I like this one a lot more...it's a peplum, which I love, and it even comes with a belt!  It was totally worth the $5.

The white dress took my breath away...it's so me!  It's longer than normal and has an asymmetrical hem, plus it has a studded collar.  Those are probably out of season now, but I'll still wear it!  The whole thing is just so goddessy.

The martini mixes were an afterthought.  I bought it because I loved the bottles and they ended up being super cheap.  I thought they had bath foam, but I would have bought it no matter what was in them for that price!

It was a jaw dropping moment when I found that bond perfume.  I couldn't believe my eyes!  I never thought I'd ever own this brand since it's normally so expensive (over $200 at a lot of places).

It was actually wrapped in something else, which might have been why it was still there for me.  I actually clutched it in my hand the entire time, I just didn't want it to get away from me!

This one actually had a lot of well known perfumes for cheap...I also found a Chloe perfume for $18 at the same time I found the Escada.  Thankfully it was already open, so I managed to smell it at the counter...and it was horrible!

The heavy scents that older people normally wear.  Thank goodness I left that one behind, it would have been non-refundable!

Stella Tweed - Floral button up sleeveless chiffon  dress:  $3 (RSP:  $19.99 - $35)
American eagle outfitters - White/grey leopard print dress:  $3 (RSP:  $14.99 - $28)

One clothing - Mint green lace back long sleeve blouse:  $3 (RSP:  $19.99 - $35)
Chapter One - Brown pants:  $3 (RSP:  $39.99+)

All @ Winners

These were a bit more than I wanted to pay, but knowing this location, they weren't going to be there long!

The mint green blouse is my favourite.  I'm also fond of the floral dress, but I'm not sure about the print..it's pretty busy!  Leopard spots and roses, what an odd combination.

Thursday, August 1, 2013

Jessica - NWT Navy skirt with gold buckle and white piping:  $2.50 (RSP:  $40+)
Simply Vera by Vera Wang - Charmeuse colourblock top:  $2 (RSP:  $40+)

Da Vinci - NWT floor length chiffon dress in celedon - style 9092:  $5 (RSP:  $135+)

All @ MCC Thrift shop.

I actually bought these last Friday.  I originally came for the dress...I saw it two days before the sale, but thought I might as well wait for it to be half off.

I'm so glad it was still there!  It's so gorgeous on, I would have been sad if I missed out.  $10 would have been a steal anyway, considering it's new with tags.  I looked at their website, and I think this one was actually the best colour.

I'm actually surprised it retailed for so cheap.  The quality is really nice!  It looks way better than in the picture.

The other things were an afterthought.  I liked the style of the Jessica skirt, but since it's a mall brand I probably wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't new.

Found a stock picture of the top:

I liked  the colourblocking, thought that was pretty unique.

Monday, July 22, 2013

Deletta - Pink chiffon accent top:  $4 (RSP:  $50+ (5 days)
Grey ruched rosette shirt:  $4 (5 days)

(Just a better picture of the above, you really can't see the details on the grey top in the other one!)

Zara women - NWT Button up silk shirt:  $5 (RSP: $55) (3 days)
Banana republic - Dark khaki silk top:  $3 (9 days)

All @ Talize

The knits ones were more than I wanted to pay, but since I liked the designs so much I bought them.  I really wish I knew who made the grey one, it's great quality!  The inside looks the same as the outside.  It was made in the US, so I know it wasn't a super cheap brand.

I wasn't sure about the other one.  I really love the top part (especially the crossed over pleats and ruffles), but the bottom part wasn't very fitted.  I figured it would look amazing if I covered the bottom half.

In both cases, I haven't seen these designs around, so I didn't want to miss out on them.  I liked them that much!

I probably wouldn't have bought the Zara shirt if it wasn't new with tags.  I'm surprised the retail price wasn't that high!  It's not the best silk I've felt.

The Banana republic shirt looks pretty plain, but it,s fitted in such a nice way.  The colour is interesting too, so I think it was worth the $3.

This is the first time I've spent almost $100 at any thrift store, but I couldn't help it!  I already put back a lot of stuff, and I had to get back home for something.  I still might return some things, I'll decide after trying them on again.

Monday, July 15, 2013

J.B. Marciano - Navy blue suit (RP:  $14.99) (13 days)

Maille Demoiselle - White gathered sleeveless top (RP:  $3.99) (9 days)
INC International concepts - Silk corset blouse (RP:  $3.99) (8 days)

$2 each @ Salvation Army

Still at the same store!  The suit looked plain, but I was amazed when I put it on...the fit and quality were spectacular.  As good as Aquascutum!

More than that, the skirt was really wonderful.  It's pleated and has a leather belt, but you can't really see the details in the picture.  There are a bunch of weiser pins on it, so I guess that's who the original owner worked for.

The tops were an afterthought.  The material on the first one doesn't feel nice, but the style is really gorgeous.  Plus, it was made in France!

I love the design of the second one, but it's really not flattering on me right now.  It is silk though.  Here's hoping I can wear it soon!

Friday, June 21, 2013

Studded peplum dresses with silver spike shoulders (aqua and coral):  $5 each @ Sirens (RSP:  $27 each)

Finally!  I've been watching these since last year.  They've been $10 for a long time, but I was waiting to see if they would go down any more.  $5 is really what I wanted to pay.

It paid off today!  It wasn't my preferred size, but I just couldn't let them go.  I know they'll definitely fit, so I just need to get my butt in gear!

I actually was undecided at first, but since there was no lineup and I had some time to spare, I thought that was a sign.  They actually look way better on than I thought!  If I knew how it would fit beforehand, there would be no second thoughts!

They're actually still $10 at all of the other ones I went to.  I'm going to be cheezed if I find it that cheap in my preferred size later on.

Friday, May 31, 2013

Le Chateau - Burnt orange satin halter top (RP:  $5.99) (6 days)
Vero moda - Off white ruffled halter top (RP:  $5.99) (15 days)

$.99 each @ Salvation Army

This location was so small and out of the way!  It was the first time I've been there, and I won't bother to go back again.

I did get these two tops though.  I hesitated since they weren't made of quality materials, but the design was gorgeous enough for me to get them.  They have a lot of nice details that are hard to see in the picture, like pleated sleavelines.

The $.99 cent event was great.  I hope they have more of them!
