Tactic - Angry Birds board game:  $3 (RSP:  ~$20)
Self adhesive lion shaped mirrors:  $2

Both @ Dollarama

I don't like angry birds, but I remember loving that game Trouble...and I noticed that this game has the exact same board!  Unsurprisingly, the instructions are the same too...so for $3, I thought why not.

I like fun shaped mirrors so the lions were a no-brainer.  I just wish they had more!  This was the only one there...I didn't even see any other types.  I wonder what else they had before.

I'm surprised that forever 21 necklace retailed for so much!  They're normally pretty cheap when the design isn't that complicated.

I wish I didn't buy most of the ones from that one seller in the middle.  They were a lot worse than expected!  That seller's pretty hit and miss.  This one was the best one though, it was $2.06:

I'm happiest about the first necklace.  I wish I could have gotten it for a bit less though, since I've seen it go for about $4.30 on aliexpress.

Here's the original J.Crew necklace:

It retailed for $56.50!

And all in the same day!  I wish things were spread out evenly, it would be a lot easier to keep track of.

Anyway, a lot of dupes in this round.  I think the Zara ones might even technically be the same thing, because they are made in China as well.

Here's a photo of the official ones:

They really look exactly the same to me...except mine were around 5% of the retail price!

Surprisingly, a lot of these were buy it nows!  I'm surprised...the prices were so reasonable.  Auction pricing was about the same for a lot of them, so there was no reason not to wait.

I was most excited about that lion knuckle ring - it looks a lot like a McQueen handle!  I wanted it to make a purse with.  I think it looks a little big and clunky for its intended use, but it would look great on a clutch!

They all came this month, but I put off writing about them until now.

The H&M stuff are the highlights.  I actually didn't even know they were H&M when I bought them, I just really liked the designs!  They're not H&M branded, but I think they're probably made from the same factory.

Also really happy about the snake chain necklaces.  I found a bunch of buy it now's for around $10, but I didn't want to pay that much.  Later on I started seeing them on auction, so I'm happy I was able to get them for about half the price.

I just kind of wish I waited it out, since some people were able to get them under $4!   I really love that huge statement necklace look.  I'm hoping to get some even bigger ones, but I'll see if any of them ever go on auction first.

Joseph Ribkoff - Versace-esque long ribbed dress w/metal lion head details:  $7.50 (6 days)
INC International Concepts - NWT Polka dot silk dress:  $10 (RSP:  ~$129)(4 days)

Both @ Talize
These were both more than I wanted to pay, but I ended up getting them anyway.  The first dress is fabulous!  I have so much JR stuff now.   What can I say....I really like their aesthetic.

Since I don't have any polka dots in my closet, I picked up the other one.  Well, it being silk and new with tags also cemented my decision.  If any part of that equation was missing, I probably would have left it behind!

I also left behind some great BCBG dresses that would have been $6.50 - $7.50 each.  They were both so well made and had neat ruffled/pleated flower details on them.

Sadly, they were strapless and looked totally ugly on me, so it was easy to leave them behind...even though they look wonderful on a hanger.

Plastic gold winged lion clock:  $3.99 @ Value Village

I've seen these clocks before, but I was never tempted to buy them until now.  They always have fancy animals like unicorns or peacocks, but I'm sure I've never seen a lion one before.  They're like my kryptonite!

Plus, after finding that last plastic gold clock, I've had the idea to use them as shadow boxes.  The price was reasonable enough, so I thought, why not.

My family actually has a peacock clock like this, but I've always found it tacky for some reason.  Not this one!

Asymmetrical hem chiffon sequin and dress:  $7.50 (10 days)
Joseph Ribkoff - Ribbed Versace-esque military dress:  $6.50 (6 days)

UK2LA - NWT Ruffled cream chiffon dress:  $7.50 (13 days)
Quilted silver leather purse:  $2 (6 days)

A non flash picture so you can see the dress details better:

All @ Talize

The first two dresses were no-brainers!  I was so excited when I found them.  The sequin one looks like a figure skating dress, I love the asymmetrical hem!  There are no tags anywhere, so I wonder if someone made this.  I have nothing else like this, so I was really glad to find it.

Ditto on the Ribkoff dress.  There's a reason I always look out for that brand!  This is the best dress yet, it's so awesome!  It reminds me of Versace, it's studded and has lion head buttons.  It looks like it's never been worn!

The same dress actually sold for $120 here!  Crazy.

I wasn't sure about the last one.  I do like the style, but I already have so many similar ones now.  It still had the tags on, otherwise I would have left it for sure.

I almost didn't pick up the silver purse.  It is real leather, and it was so cheap!  It looked unused.  I used to be really big on the style, but I wasn't super keen on it today.

I thought I might regret leaving it behind though, so I picked it up anyway.

Eta (Etra') - Black leather rounded edge gold frame purse:  $4.99
Brown leather turnlock purse:  $5.99
Blue and white strip belt with floral  closure:  $.99
Doppia Vita  - Navy blue leather belt with gold lion heads:  $9.99

All @ Value Village

I was in the area, so I just had to check it out.  I've found a lot of good stuff in the past, so I was expecting more of it.  I wasn't disappointed!  I guess people in this area don't have the same taste I do...too bad it's so far away!

The purses were reasonably priced, but the belt was such a ripoff!  I'm annoyed, but I paid it anyway.  This is such a unique belt, I've never seen anything like this, and I'll probably never see one again.

It's huge and heavy!  The head fits in the palm of my hand:

It helped that it was real leather and made in Italy.  If it was just a no-name belt, that would have stung even more!

This was probably expensive.  I see some people asking over $100 for used ones that aren't half as good as this one!

Quilted dark navy leather purse with gold lion clasp DIY - total price:  $3 (purse) + $.34 (lion head) = $3.34

It was in kind of gross condition when I got it, but it looked so much better after cleaning and reshaping!

This is my only DIY so far that was out of necessity.  This purse was missing a logo at the front, there was only a metal plate with a hole left behind.  Couldn't have that....a lion head was the perfect substitution!

The picture's not that exciting, but I love how it looks in person.  I still have a ton of heads left too!

I'm actually almost done all of my bags I bought for DIY projects.  I'll have to keep my eye out for other cheap leather bags with potential.

Silver snakeskin flap purse with gold lion clasp DIY - total price:  $1.99 (purse) + $.34 (lion head) = $2.33

I'm really happy with how this turned out!  I love how it looks now.  At first I wasn't crazy about it at all - I didn't like the shape and I thought it was just so plain.

The strap just perfects everything!  I took it from this purse, but it looks way better on this one.

I did this one a while ago, I just never got around to blogging about it until now.

Concepts - Gold full grain leather purse with Lion head crest (made in Canada):  $2.99
Purple suede purse:  $2.50 (RP:  $4.99)
H.K. Haven - ('for style & comfort!') Bronze ruched leather box purse:  $2.49 (RP:  $4.99)

All @ Salvation Army.

Hooray, another BOGO month!  Stupidly, I could only use one coupon, even though it doesn't say that on the coupon.  I've been able to use two in the past so I'm annoyed I couldn't this time.  Hopefully the other ones won't be so stingy.

The gold one was a no brainer!  I'm a sucker for gold leather and gold hardware, not to mention animal heads!  It is pretty marked up on the inside, but at least it still looks good on the outside.  Even though I couldn't use a second coupon, I thought this was worth the price.

I actually wasn't sure about the box purse.  It's kind of misshapened, and I'm not too crazy about purses that are longer than they are wide.

In the end, I thought it was really interesting (being cheap didn't hurt either!), and it was pretty old, so I took it home.

I don't know why, but I really loved the purple purse!  I thought it was simple and classy, but the bold colours made it really stand out.

I thought the suede was real, and the leather looked like it could be, but it wasn't.  Now I'm not sure if the suede was real since the leather wasn't...it is made in China afterall.

I still think it could be, but either way, it's pretty good quality if it is fake.

In any case, I can't complain for $2.50, no tax!

Fuchsia snakeskin purse with gold lion clasp DIY - total price:  $4.70 (purse including tax) + $.34 (lion head) = $5.04

I love this!  The purse was amazing quality and looked new, but it was sort of plain.  The lion head brings everything together, it just looks so good!

It's not exactly a clasp of course, but it looks that way from afar.  I grappled with several other placements before finally deciding on this one.

Can't wait to do more DIY's!  I just need to pick up some reliable super glue before I can start on my next projects.

I'm so glad I picked up all of those plain, but otherwise amazing bags in the past.  They're going to look phenomenal when I'm done with them!

14 Gold lion head with hanging ring charms:  $4.38 (BIN:  $6.99)
Amber statement necklace:  $2.73 (BIN:  $13.51)

Both off eBay.

Those lion heads are gorgeous, but I'm really kicking myself for paying so much!  Mine was the lowest auction at that point, but the next one only ended at around a dollar...that person sure got a deal!

I haven't been buying necklaces for a while, but this is one I've wanted for a long time.  I'm happy I finally won it for a decent price.
