I've been getting all nostalgic for sailor moon toys lately, so I wanted to revisit my past finds.  All of the above were found on August 14, 2008, it was such a great day!

I think it was my first great thrift find.  The wands were in a bag together, the mini moon was in another.  I had wanted her for so long..I think she's the cutest north american mini doll.

I was with my family and hadn't even planned on thrifting.   I think my mom took a wrong turn and we ended up in that area, and I asked if we could make a stop.  Thank goodness she did!

The moon stick is north american, but the cutie moon rod is actually the asian version!  I do have an in box north american version from my childhood.  I remember that it only retailed for $14.99!!  What a difference.

I also had the pink sugar rod which was only $9.99!  I remember getting two 12 inch adventure dolls for $14.99, but I sold the tuxedo mask a few years ago.  I kept the wicked lady.  I never remembered seeing the 6" dolls, but maybe I just forgot because I didn't find them interesting.

The rest are from a year or two before that:

Bandai Europe/Asia Sailor Venus and Uranus:  $2.99 each, I believe from Value Village.  I sold the Uranus a while ago...now I wish I kept her!  Venus was shoeless, but I had the perfect shoes from another thrift find.

14" Korean Sailor moon:  $3.99 @ Toy Traders.  I sold this one too...and also kind of wish I hadn't!

Sailor moon world doll, Sailor moon and mercury pocket dolls:  $1.99 each. 

The first one was found at the Salvation army, the others were at Value Village (separate times!).  Dream pocket moon was nude, but the clothing is from an ugly face adventure doll that I redonated after taking the outfit.

The same chibimoon from the first post...but I found the Sailor moon and mercury adventure dolls for $1.99 together.  I thought I could make boots for my prettier mercury, but now I wish I didn't cut her legs off!

I haven't seen any dolls recently, besides the ugly face ones.  I actually see those every once in a while, nude too, so there's no appeal there!   I would only ever buy them if they had stuff to steal.  They're too ugly to keep as is!

Around this time I also found an in box 12" pretty face Venus, but I think she was missing her gloves..  She was only $2.99 at value village!  The box was really sun faded and ugly looking so I discarded it.

I also have a pretty face jupiter and mercury, I'm pretty sure I got them both at Value Village.  I think they were nude for $1.99 each.  Either that, or they were overpriced at $3.99 each.

I'm really hoping to find more pretty face dolls, especially a Mars so I can finish my light up doll set.  I'd like to start thrifting more regularly, so I hope there's more sailor moon in my future!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutations - Turtle Turbo Charger:  $5 @ Wal mart (RSP:  $30)

I don't really like this, but I needed something else to get free shipping for my socks.  I just thought this didn't look TMNT at all...it looks like a generic toy.  

It does transform into something else that looks better, but I wish I got the pizza thrower instead!  It was clearanced to the same price, and it looks totally in theme:

It was sold out at that time, otherwise I would have gotten it.  

The car is $3 now though.  I'm somewhat tempted to buy another one and return this one!  Here it is transformed:

The thing takes up a lot of space too!  It doesn't seem in proportion with the figures.

TMNT hoodie:  $10 @ Bluenotes (RSP:  $39.99)

A bit more than I wanted to pay, but I thought it was worth it!  I saw the exact same one for $65 here!  It's definitely the most intricate TMNT hoodie I've seen.

The belt is another layer, plus the chest and shell are actually padded.  The mask is a separate layer too!  

There was a onesie there as well, but it didn't seem as worth it.  Everything was just printed on...plus it was clearly for a guy so it would have been too oversized.  That would have been $10 too.

If I see one in a small, maybe I'll pick it up too!

They have decent sales on occasion!  A lot of their accessories were clearanced to $2, so I couldn't resist the drinkware.  One will be a gift for a friend.

I have a ton of boots, but none of them are over the knee!  They only had one in my size, so I just had to snatch them up.

Now I want to check out the rest!

I missed thrifting!  I haven't done it in so long.  I just missed my bus and didn't want to sit there for half an hour, so I decided to go...especially since I would have had to pay another fare in any case.

This is made by "Fun World Inc" probably in the 70's.  It looks just like this Metti doll:

Plus chinese new year freebies throughout the mall! You had to play a game to win for all of them.

For the scrubbing bubbles you had to play a space invaders type game...it seems like you could try as many times as you want, so I played twice to get that brush.  It's so cute!

They also had full size products to give away, but it doesn't seem like anyone got enough points for any of those the entire day.  I would have been happy with more brushes!  Now that I think about it, I should have tried once more.

TMNT - Ninja action turtles:  $4 each @ Dollarama (RSP:  $16.99 each)

I'm going overboard with the turtle stuff, but I can't resist at this price!  They have a gimmick, so they felt worth it.  I'm glad I passed up those ordinary $4 figures a while back!

I'm hoping to find one of those $4 blimps soon.  I saw them at walmart for $10, but that didn't seem worth it.

Except the lunch bag, which was $4.  I thought it was worth that, it was cute enough plus functional!  I didn't see a 200 yen sticker on it though, so I wonder if they just jacked it up of their own volition.

Always love coming here!  I wish it were more convenient to get to.  I'll try to come once a month or so.  

I wanted to get more cute animal or strawberry lunch boxes, but they were all gone!  Hopefully the other one still has them.

I was so glad I came in today!  I usually wouldn't, but I haven't gone in a very long time...I just wanted to check things out.

Well, turns out they were having a buy one get one half off sale on all of the clearance toys, and a lot of them were very reasonable already!  The lalaloopsy babies were $2 each...I almost put them back, but I just couldn't resist.

I was also really tempted by those giant monster high/ever after high dolls.  They only would have been $9.50, because my brother was buying something else regardless.  That would have been such a good price!

But I'm not that into them, and they take up a lot of space.  There were so many good deals on monster high too!  Would have been as low as $4 for some of them...I wouldn't have gotten so many back in the day!

I had a half off coupon, so I couldn't resist.  The heart is pretty scratched up and blotchy though...I thought that was just the plastic covering, but sadly, it wasn't!

They actually have a lot of nice looking stuff in their dollar spot section.  The designs seem nicer than other ones in that price point.  I'll have to make it a point to drop in more often!

I've actually wanted that cupid for a while, but the others were twice the price or more!  For the exact same one...that definitely didn't seem worth it, especially since I've only paid a bit over a buck for my other solar toys.

So I couldn't resist when I saw this one here!  They had a devil too, but I thought it was the old one I had:

It's way cuter than the one I have!  I didn't even notice it was different, since I didn't bother to look closely in the store.  I'll definitely pick it up next time!

I'll try not to go overboard with the solar toys, but I'll definitely pick up the cuter ones in the future.

I saw these on instagram, and I had to find them!  My store only had four, and they were hidden under all of the other plushes.   There was an extra Leo, but no Ralph.

No price tags, so I wasn't sure what the price was.  I saw it had a $2 tag online, but that seemed like a mistake...most of the licensed plushes that size were around $3, even when I was looking today.

I couldn't believe it when it scanned!  That is such a great deal.  I hope I find the last one elsewhere.

I was so happy with the star!  It was exactly what I wanted....I wanted something clear, and it's also battery powered, which I need.  It was 70% off and the only one there,  so it must have been meant to be!

The Christmas bath stuff was only half off though.  This was the only TMNT one there though, so I decided to just get it.  Too bad the box is torn up.

Later on I saw that it was only $4.99 at walmart!  And only $2.49 if I managed to find it in store...but none were still in stock near me.  I would have snatched up a few at that price!
